Official Dancing With the Stars, season 16 thread

I like Andy because he enjoys it so much and it shows. Yeah, his technique stinks, but he does make me smile. :teeth:

Ummm wow ... that was an uncomfortable exchange with Victor, Lindsay, and Brooke. :scared: :crazy2:

I don't always watch this closely but I am noticing several dancers using that move where the male dancer lifts the female dancer and she looks like she is pedaling a bike. It is very pretty and I have noticed it several times this season. Is this a new move or am I late in noticing this?

Len actually scored higher than Carrie Ann & Bruno

Watching Team Paso made me so sad. I really mean no disrespect to any of the pros as they are all fantastic. That said, I really feel like Derek is the Paso King when it comes to DWTS. I think that they are the stronger team when it comes to technique and that Derek's choreography would have really showcased that.

On a different note, my husband rarely watches this show and just said to me, "Brooke sucks at her job. Is there no one who can work with here at not asking such stupid questions?!?" :rotfl2:

Here are this week's predictions with a bit of a surprise. I was shocked to see Sean above Jacoby, do you think his antics are wearing thin? Also Aly ahead of Zendaya. I agree with the prediction of Victor going home, he is very flat footed. I wonder if Tom will talk about the "SHOCKING RESULTS" tonight and have Jacoby "in jeopardy"? We haven't had that yet this season and its about time... :happytv:

Victor & Lindsay

Victor said he loved Lindsay and then it got weird from there because Lindsay and Brooke are just so awkward.
Victor said "She's been trying to get me to say it ... saying c'mon Babe, you know you love me!" I think his was an innocent "I love you man!" not a romantic love. Brooke is an idiot.

I'll miss Victor and Andy when they go home. I find them more endearing and entertaining than Sean or Ingo.

Brooke is merely eye candy. In that case she does her job. No one in her position isn't given a script and directions.

I admit, I was a little bored last night watching DWTS.

It's not that I don't like Stevie Wonder, it's just that, after a while, all his songs start to sound the same to me.

One of the things I've always enjoyed about DWTS is all the different song choices on any given night, & how the pros interpret & choreograph the dances to fit the songs.

For me, it's the same reason why I'm liking "The Voice" more than "American Idol" - the theme nights where the singers sing songs from the same singer are less exciting to me than when the singers get to choose their own songs.

Anyway, I thought Kellie probably did have the best dance of the night. She's really a great dancer, & Derek is an awesome choreographer - he's probably the best of the pros. And, when he gets a talented partner... magic! (And my favorite pro is actually Maks... even named our dog after him. :thumbsup2 )

There was one moment when Kellie & Derek were dancing where I actually got a flashback to when Julianne & Derek danced together - must have been her wig!

I also liked Zendaya's Cha Cha & Ingo's Tango. I'm really liking how Val is choreographing Zendaya's dances - they are really good together. And I just like Ingo. ;)

And the Group Samba was better than the Group Paso.

That's another thing - two of my favorite dances are the Tango & the Paso, & I just don't think Stevie Wonder songs are good Tango or Paso dances.

I think Victor will probably be in trouble tonight, & I'm not sure who else.

I'm slightly worried about Andy - to me, it looks like he's taking this way too seriously. I'm worried for his emotional/mental state.

QUESTION: Remember the "Find Your Dance" segment w/ Len Goodman on last week's results show? I absolutely loved it! There was something so endearing & lighthearted about it. Does anyone know where I could find a video clip? I've looked at youtube, but I can't find it.

Yeah, Brooke made it sound like Victor should have proposed already.

I think Victor did well last night. He has been improving each week so I don't get all the neg comments about him? I think he is doing better than Andy & Sean. They are both a little spazzy and make really awkward movements here & there.

Victor is getting more fluid & graceful each week. You could see the grace of footwork that as a boxer he needs to have to move on the mat. Previously, he just looked clunky, like did he just stand in place & punch people out? :confused3 Now, they have to work on his flat feet & being too solidly on the ground. I'm sure he probably learned that to be solid & not get knocked down when punched.

No, she is not just eye candy. They gave her a microphone and make her do (annoying) interviews. Vanna White is eye candy with no speaking.

::yes:: I said that last night. Then there was one song, that either Zendaya or Derek & Kelli danced to that I thought, "Didn't we hear this already???" :confused3 Did Stevie actually sing a song earlier that a pair would be dancing to later? :confused3
