It wasn't that great last season, almost didn't watch because of BB and then it got handed to the ABC star. I hated Tyra on AGT, we would fast forward through her, but this is just too much, I won't give her the ratings.

I wouldn't have known that was Sharna in that photo. She looks like a dead ringer for actress, Jodie Comer, of Killing Eve.

I will watch again once they have real stars on. Not people who are there because they are irritating, or someone's child. Or a politician.

Dancing with the Pretend Stars is what it has been for a while.

I also wish Tyra would go back to doing Top Model. It was one of my favorite mindless shows.

All dancers everywhere are unable to work due to the pandemic. They can't even tour this year. She's making money via the Internet. I can't fault her for that.

The article says: "Ribeiro then hinted that he would have rather seen the ABC series canceled than revamped. “Sometimes I look at things and I say, ‘Why don’t we just make a new show?’” he noted. “And then just make that show and then cancel the one that you’re chopping up. Right?"

That's what I said earlier:

He should have just rebranded the show. Given it a new name and started from scratch.

I missed this. Will the dance partners be quarantined together the whole season? How will they tackle group dances, etc?

Yes, the dance partners will be quarantined the whole season. I don't think they mentioned yet anything about the group dances. I'm thinking they will all just zoom back & forth to each other to create the dances in separate rooms, and then present a unified zoom "group" video, the way we see singers sing together.

I'm sure as Tyra says, "It will be so next level."

Nope. Not yet. Emma and Sasha were still together at their home. So, I assume they haven't met their stars yet. The producers might be waiting till the last possible minute to put everyone with their partner, so the quarantine will be as short as possible.

BTW, the pro dancers who are married to each other and will have to separate (only to quarantine with their star partner!) are:

Sasha Farber
Emma Slater

Val Chmerkovskiy
Jenna Johnson

Pasha Pashkov
Daniella Karagach (new this season)

Peta (Maks isn't on the show this season. But, I assume she will be quarantining away from Maks and their child.)

Good question. On the one hand it would look a lot better to have the couples come into the ballroom and dance individually, and in succession. But, if they each are dancing unmasked, by the time couple #6 gets on the ballroom dance floor, that's a lot of (possible) COVID floating around, in an indoor environment if any of them are positive.

I supposed they could each dance masked. Or perform in the separate studios they are rehearsing in. That would be a lot safer. Not as splashy, but definitely safer.
