Official Dancing With the Stars (cast revealed)

Was anyone else having trouble logging into the website last night? I couldn't log in no matter what.

Now I can't log in from work because it just won't even come up.

I could log in fine and was able to vote. I clicked on the Vote Now link and then the login window popped up.

I think the judges are favoring Gilles very heavily so he is likely to end up winning unless he messes up real bad. Ty is trying so hard and has given it his all but he is just not a natural dancer. Melissa and Shawn are both good. I split my votes between Melissa and Shawn just because I want Gilles to have some competition.

Don't you realize that poor Ty is so out of his element, he's really uncomfortable? It's just his competitive nature that keeps him going-he'd really be so much happier if he was back on the farm, riding horses and bulls. I think I'm doing him a favor and NOT voting for him.

I didn't watch the results show last week, but last night they replayed the announement that Lil Kim was going and he was staying....pretty funny expression on his face!

As much as we adore Shawn, she does look like she's thinking when she's dancing. I'm sure that now that they have to learn two dances a week, she is thinking like crazy to rememer the routines, but somehow, other dancers don't show it in their faces as much.

Ty knew it was his time to go several weeks ago. But now he's pretty much stuck until we vote him off. He was shocked last week to be staying. It was plain as day on his face when they announced that Lil Kim was leaving.

He's a gentleman, and he has respect for the fellow contestants. Chelsie and Ty should be so proud of all they have accomplished! Realistically, they probably won't be dancing next week. That's OK. Few have ever worked harder on that show.
FWIW, I was sad to see Lil Kim go, too. I would have much preferred Melissa to get the boot. She won't, but I was glad to see her many years of dance classes pointed out last night in the little "piece" about her.

When Ty does go, I hope Gilles and Cheryl win.

Oh bliss, you are a one-trick pony. *sigh* They never said a thing about the YEARS dance classes. Her mom said she took ballet (and showed a video when she was 8 or 9) and was on drill team and then they interviewed her cheerleader coach.

I thought Melissa's routines were quite boring last night. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was high quality and very classy - but boring. I don't blame that on Melissa, though. Tony needs to step up his choreography if they make it to next week because Cheryl is the queen of freestyle! But I'm thinking this is going to mimic his season with Stacy Kiebler.

He might have more fans DWTS than she does, but we'll seek. She probably has more overall fans thanks to Jason (bachelor/expert crier/bad breaker-upper) .
I would have pitted her dance experience vs his savoir-faire but I've been corrected. So, I'll leave it at that.
In the end, it's just another reality show.

Oh, I think that Gilles will win ... on sexiness and animal magnetism alone . I also would not be surprised to find out that our friend Gilles, like Melissa, has some dance experience in his background somewhere. He was so good right from the start and while Cheryl is good, she not THAT good!

FWIW, I wish that Cheryl would stop pawing him during each and every dance. It really detracted from the Waltz, IMO.

If it weren't for the fact that I like Gilles SOOO very much, I would be voting for Ty.

They never, ever tell us to vote for who we think is best. They tell us to vote for our favorite.

I enjoy watching Melissa dance and I think she's cute, but I really don't get why her fifteen minutes of fame make her popular She was dumped. Big deal. Who hasn't been???

Yeah, I personally don't get the appeal of Melissa. She is a gorgeous girl, who seems super nice, with lovely lines, but I guess I just have this 'thing' about the Bachelor show. I can't stand it. I've tried to watch it, but I can't- so therefore I have a hard time rooting for someone who gets her fan base from that show.

Shawn I think is strong, some of her dances are awesome, but she's still young enough where you can see her uncertainty coming thru in the dances. It detracts from the dance for me. And I said the same thing Carrie Ann said last night- the jive seemed like she was heavy footed or she was tired. Mark was SPAZZING out and she was nowhere near his level of enthusiasm. Didn't Mark look POed at the judges comments??? Whoa!!!!

I think Gilles just has raw talent. I think he's naturally graceful, I think he has a gorgeous body, and he's obviously physically fit. He works hard, he listens to Cheryl, and I think he has a sense of rhythm. I also think he and Cheryl have great chemistry and they just totally amaze me with a lot of their dances. I haven't loved all of them, more at least 70% have left my jaw dropped- a couple hasn't given me the 'chills' like they do since MelB and Maks. Kristy and Brooke were gorgeous dancers, but they didn't quite emote the same for me.

OK, can't wait for tonight!

Now AnnA = WOW that quick step was incredible and she is only 21. She reminds me of a very young Meredith Baxter(Birney). and, we got to see Maks again

Woot! I'm happy that Ty is finally gone. He's a great guy, but not a great dancer.

Mark was SPAZZING out and she was nowhere near his level of enthusiasm.

IMO, Mark always overdances! He should take note from some of the other pros that are good at dancing down to the celebrities' level. It's distracting and does make the celebrity look less than energetic.
