That was a really good episode! I did miss Beckett (that's the first time that one of the main 4 wasn't in an episode) but other than that, I loved it.

Yes, I agree! I was hesitant that Slaughter was coming back..... But this one I really liked. Slaughter did things that I NEVER thought he would do! Cooking while wearing a brightly colored apron.... Song and dance with Castle..... Being a GOOD mentor to a troubled teen!

What happened to her? Why wasn't she in this episode? I didn't get to see it from the beginning. Did something happen to Stana in real life so she couldn't be in this episode?

She was on vacation/delayed honeymoon. Nothing horrible.
