Official "Castle" thread! Spoilers welcomed!

It's been two episodes. I'm more than willing to see what they're cooking up.

I agree that this season is not enjoyable.. I thought about it after watching last night's episode that it seems like they "jumped the shark" and sadly this is not the first time I have felt that way about this show..

I'm sure a lot of people think they've jumped the shark. As for me, I'm going to keep watching. I know nothing I'll say will change anyone's mind.

Could it be staged as a "breakup?" - maybe the apartment's bugged? They're playing a breakup to ferret the person out?

I'll definitely see the series to the end - it's tough to watch after finally having them together.

It's a possibility. However, I don't think that's what it is. I think Kate thinks this is the best way to protect him. She feels guilty because 5 people died because of something she did. So she's not going to stop until she gets justice for them.

I watched Parts 1 & 2 back-to-back last night. My impression was that much of them had a "video game" vibe with all the multiple assassins, laser sights, fights, etc. I was nostalgic for the quirky, oddball cases of the past.

Did anyone else catch the continuity error at the end of Part 2?

When they discovered the body of the AG, the gun was in her left hand. When Espo removed the gun, it was from her right hand.

My local station went crazy and the episode cut out at about 1/3rd the way through. I have to log in using with Dish ID to watch the episode that is should over the freaking air. *sigh*

DH and I have watched this show from the start. Neither of us were fans of the Kate's mom story line. When those episodes are on in reruns we don't watch. These first two episodes had the same feel to them. If they are still married, I don't think the fact that they are living apart would make anyone think she doesn't care about Castle (or his family).

I also don't like the fact that writers can't come up with scenarios of them as a married couple to keep things lively. It is too soap operaish to keep them getting together and breaking up.
