Going to be too busy to post the next few nights so I wanted to post today.

I don’t think it’s a secret that I loved that episode. Good old fashioned Castle fun. From what I’ve been reading, I am one of the few that liked the case. I had no idea who the killer was too. The Creaseys have become quite popular with the fandom. By the way, they are fun to follow on Twitter, and they will often retweet and favorite fan posts.

What I loved:

1. The ending scene of course! He was adorable in the goggles, I loved how she raised them, and I loved his reaction to her “invisible” clothes
2. The make-out scene! Wow – hot (well, for network TV) and sweet – loved his brushing her hair out of her face – loved his “you don’t know I much I missed this” and her answer “you had amnesia for 2 months – I missed it more.” – loved her “I feel like we’re being watched” – his “did you hear that” – the banter thru this scene was great.
3. The line about zombie camp and her “you make nerdy sexy” and his response – “true”. This Nathan Fillion fan could do nothing but agree
4. The opening scene between Kate & Rick – reading on their tablets – peeking over the top of the tablets (just like the scene in “Flowers For Your Grave” when they’re reading the fan mail) – the realization that they are both “ready” – and the phone call.
5. And the scene as they walk into the crime scene – especially Rick’s hand resting on the cop. I would have loved that more if it were LT, but it was pretty darn good anyway
6. Him telling her not to answer the phone (when Lainie called). Dana Creasey tweeted that there was a scene that Nathan and Stana ad-libbed, some think it was that scene
7. Martha getting trapped – too funny
8. The mind meld when getting the killer!
9. Espo’s face when he tried to figure out where Ryan was working and when Ryan told him
10. Espo’s gift to Ryan
11. Using Castle’s nerd skills to track the friend
12. Castle with the sword
13. Castle wanting to be invisible so he can know what Kate’s dad really thinks of him (and I hope someday we find out – I just want to see Scott Paulin who plays Jim Beckett again!)

All in all, a fun and sweet episode. I loved that he and Kate brought up the time he was missing – at least they’re not ignoring it. And like many have said, I don’t want to rush away my weekend, but I can’t wait for Monday’s episode!!!

Agree totally. It was the Castle I love. Watched it twice because I enjoyed it so much. Loved Ryan's moonlighting deal.

I usually record it and watch the next morning while getting ready for work. Lights are out be 10:30 these days. Jeez, I'm old.

10pm my three cats start nagging me to go to bed. As soon as I am in bed its cuddles time three then they curl up to go to sleep hogging most of the bed!

Time for my feelings on “Child’s Play”.

Overall, I enjoyed it. Not the best or a top ten favorite, but an enjoyable hour of entertainment. Besides, it featured Nathan Fillion in a tiara and with a fairy wand. What’s not to like?

Loved:
The tea party with Rick & Emily – just so sweet.
Emily questioning Kate – “do you play princess with him?” “sometimes.” “Are you two getting married?” “One day”
The dinner at Castle’s – Rick feeding Kate ice cream
Castle playing soldiers with Jack – then him sitting up with wet pants – and the kids’ reactions
Castle having a nemesis after 2 days
Kate telling Castle Alexis is too concerned, and him agreeing with her
Kate telling Castle that he is “milking” the 2 months he was missing
Their conversation before he left for the tea party
The two of them questioning Jason – “jerkface over there thinks you’re too scared” “told ya”
Castle telling the kids that everyone’s a writer
Castle and the juice box
Foreshadowing alert – Castle telling the teacher that after a traumatic event, maybe it will come out in writing a story – hmmmmmmmm
How Castle knew almost every kid’s name after 2 days
Loved his “90% a kid” line


I will say that I knew the “teacher” was involved somehow. She was just a bit too upset.
Was shocked a bit of who the witness was. How did she fit in that cabinet?
And not too many NYC schools have playgrounds with grass. Heck, even some schools on LI don’t.
I couldn’t follow the case the first time I watched. I understood it better the second go-round.

Reading some of the fan sites, a lot of people thought Kate might be pregnant – they were saying she was drinking water in the dinner scene and she was gagging a bit at a crime scene. However, she was on call in the first scene and that dead body was there for 3 days or so. And even Espo looked a little green and I doubt that he’s pregnant.

I know a lot of people don’t like episodes when Kate and Rick spend a lot of time apart, but it worked in this episode. Besides, they had some lovely scenes together in the loft, especially the one before he left to go to the tea party. I loved the way she teased him about “should I be worried?” and the nice little good bye kiss.

So like I said, not a great episode but a fun entertaining one. I enjoyed it a lot, but that’s it.
