This is of the last minute cake i got for him at WCC.

Hope this works.

Sorry so big will work on this.

We ordered this cake for my parents 50th anniversary party which we celebrated at the Whispering Canyon Cafe in January 2008.

I would be interested in ordering something similar to that for a birthday. Don't want/need a lot of decoration. Probably an 8 inch cake. Would I have options for type of cake and filling? Sorry, I haven't read through all the info and I'm sure these questions have been asked many times. They will be having dinner at Liberty Tree. I'm actually gathering this info for a friend and I know he will not be able to afford a $70 cake but wants something nicer than the basic cake he could get at the restaurant. What would something like this cost?

we got our cake on the 7th...im still loadign pics to fb, so give me a few days to get them on photobucket to share. we got exactly what we wanted- well what i ordered for dh. 6 inch customize, chocolate cake with sweet and i mean very sweet vanilla buttercream icing, with camo fondant. with a happy ten yrs, and a solid white chocoalte pic of mr and mrs potatoe head, with a few lincoln logs and jacks balls on top. it was fantabulous!!! my only concerns were they had it set for us to eat at 8- dont ask me why- thank god i checked! and they had it documented as me and my 2 yr old anniversary! lol and as soon as we started eating it was brought out- to me not hubby. oh well he was still surprised! ill post pics soon!

Would like to order a cake for our Illuminations Cruise in January for my DD's birthday? Where do I start?

We had a chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse filling for our DFTW vow renewal and I would love to get that cake again!!

Does anyone know if they would deliver a cake to Shades of Green? I wanted to do something special for our last day, and I thought that comming back to the hotel room after wishes and having a cake delivered would be a great way to supprise everyone. Since SoG isn't Disney owned, I assume it would be the same for the Swan and Dolphin, so does anyone know if they deliver cakes there? :confused3

12/07 I had a poc cake delivered to our room at CBR. CBR handled it all beautifully and the great CM I was working with told me Boardwalk Bakery made it. I would like to do something again but CSR said that is not possible. So... I thought I could order the cake and pick it up myself. But didn't know how to order the cake. I want to get the Haunted Mansion cake for DS 12th B-day if possible.

To have the cake delivered to the boat, you would need to contact the Yacht & Beach Club bakery by calling Private Dining - here's the Yacht Club Private Dining number: 407-939-3160. They may not be able to do the same flavors offered by the Grand Floridian Bakery (where your vow renewal cake was made), but you never know!

Shades of Green and the Swan & Dolphin have their own separate food-service facilities, so you would have to call the resort directly to find out what your options are. You could try calling Private Dining at one of the nearby Disney resorts, like the Grand Floridian or the Contemporary, but I don't know that their bakeries would be willing to deliver to a non-Disney resort. If they can do it, you're looking at $75 or more in delivery charges on top of the cake price.

You can contact the BoardWalk Bakery by calling BoardWalk Inn and asking to be transfered to the bakery: 407-939-5100. However, the Haunted Mansion cake you've seen was customized by a pastry chef at the Contemporary Resort - it is not a standard option. You could see if the BoardWalk's bakers would be willing to attempt to re-create it though. :)

I want to order one of those small white cakes with the castle topper but I want it special made to be a 2 tiered mini wedding cake. We are staying at the Grand Floridian, so would I call the GF bakery or the cake hotline? Can this be delivered to our room? How far in advance do i have to call our trip is the first week in December. Thanks!!

I am torn! My son requested breakfast with Stitch on his birthday, so naturally we're off to the Poly! I so want to order a cool cake that he'll always remember...but with just 3 of us, so I dare order a cake that the majority will likely go to waste? I have no problems eating cake for breakfast...after all, it IS Disney, and it IS a birthday! :goodvibes

Can anyone convince me one way or the other? Does the Poly have yummy cakes? I've seen one pic on here with Stitch...does anyone else have any neat cakes from the Poly they'd like to share?

TIA!

Oh snap! :scared1:
I just made reservation for the Grand Floridian Cafe on our last day, so I think I'll just order the cake for our ADR that night. The only problem with that is I really wanted us to do Wishes that night at 8, and our ADR is for 8:55. I'm not 100% sure we can make it, lol.

Would it be possible to just show up at the GFCafe, pick up the cake, and cancell our ADR if we don't make it in time?

I bet you'll make it! :goodvibes Wishes is, what, 12 minutes long? You could hustle down Main Street the second it ends and hop a boat right to the Grand Floridian.

At any rate, like you say, even if you don't make your ressie in time to be seated, they still have to give you your cake! :thumbsup2

Ok trying this. This is our Tinkerbelle cake from The Wave. I'm not a good photographer, and I have a new camera. So pics didn't turn out well. The cake was wonderful. Vanilla with Bavarian Creme and strawberries. I ordered 2 chocolate covered strawberries on the side.

For those who didn't see my thread, I ordered the Haunted Mansion cake on page 121 of this thread. This is what I got:

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dissappointed. I wont post the details here since I posted them in the other thread. I just wanted to add the cake pic to this thread. I'll have a pic of it non-cut in a few days.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before or not, but I would like to suggest that the awful, completely wrong cakes that Disney has made, especially the Haunted Mansion one just posted, should be sent to cakewrecks.com along with the pic of what the cake was supposed to look like. Cakewrecks.com has HUGE readership, and should definitely be made aware of the falling standards of the Disney bakeries. Along the same note, pics of the awesome cakes that seem to be becoming fewer and farther between should also be sent to Cakewrecks for her Sunday Sweets feature. I'm so nervous about ordering my daughters birthday cake now.

If I get the completely wrong thing, I'm going to refuse to pay for it, and tell them that I want the cake that I actually ordered made for the next day.

:rotfl: Thank you for that link! I've laughed so much at the cake disasters in there! :scared1:
