Can the Haunted Mansion cake be made in a yellow cake with straweberry filling and buttercream icing and be decorated the way it was or similar?

That was an 8" cake at the smallest, right?

We're dining at California Grill on 9/10 and I would love to order that cake or at least very similar to it for our anniversary.

cakemanbri- im sorry to pester you, and i noticed you said that a 6 inch cannot be customized....several pages back a poster had a 6 inch customized at boma as a camo cake. so i'm a little confused...seeing as thats what i want and its our turn to order soon, i just wanted some clairfication. thanks!

Resorts have more options then the Parks. If it something that you really have your heart set on ask to speak to a chef. I know I have been hearing a lot of complains about custom cakes at MK but they have been done. Just be persistant. Hope that helps.

thanks! were eating at 1900pf.....my travel agent will be doing the call and she's a great one so i'm sure she can get it done....not to mention i dont want to bring back 6 slices of cake to nova scotia the next day!!!

Are the royal slipper or white choclate castle single serving cakes/deserts available anywhere other then the Grand Floridian restaurants and CRT?

We are going to start the day off celebrating my daughters birthday at the cape may character breakfast. Anyone know if we can request a special desert or small cake be delivered to the table?

Does any know how late the bakery stays open? We are thinking of just going by to see the different options the day we play mini golf. we are thinking of just getting the small mickey head cakes and then order something for the B'day for Jan but do not know how late they stay open?

There are many customized 6-inch cakes in this thread. It all seems to depend on who you talk to. In the past, your best bet for getting a fondant-covered, 6-inch cake was to be a former Disney bride/groom and ask the Grand Floridian to re-create the top layer of your wedding cake. But it seems like the GF Bakery will do a custom 6-inch cake for anyone now with enough prodding, which is great!

The slipper is only available at those two places. You could certainly have a cake made for Cape May - just call the Cake Hotline on page 1 of this thread and follow the prompts for the Beach Club. Also, you should be able to get that pirate/princess "What Will You Celebrate" promo loaf cake, or there's always the much-maligned "podium cake" for $21 (no notice required - inquire at the podium when you check in).

Just ordered my daughter's 4th Birthday celebration cake for Chef Mickey's...easy as pie (or cake) to order. Can't wait to see it, now lets hope she doesn't change her mind 20 more times about what kind of cake she wants

Woohoo!! I just ordered the HM cake for our anniversary dinner at California Grill on 9/10. It was super easy and the person I spoke with was most helpful. She knew exactly what I was talking about and when they were asking the price from the chef, he seemed to be expecting an order. So, CakeManBri, thanks! I can't wait to see my husband's reaction.


BTW, I ordered vanilla cake with strawberry filling. The outside will be decorated just as in the pictures. YAY!

Getting excited. Called today to order my cake for 9/6 for CM's.

Sally (I believe was her name) was super friendly. She said she would have to talk with the pastry chef to see if they could work something up and she is going to call me back.

My son went from a Mickey cake to Dinosaurs LOL. I told her I wanted something 3D and not silkscreen. Lets see what comes from it *adding in case cakemanbri reads before I hear back from Sally that my son likes the mean red dinosaur (Carnotaurs) from the movie the best* If Dinosaurs can't be done then my son would like something with bugs and the last resort is Mickey LOL. If we end up going with Mickey I'd like to incorporate video games with it because he loves to play video games (maybe Mickey holding a DS or something).

Chocolate cake with vanilla butter cream icing and fondant can be used.

My husband is super excited to see what wonderful creation will be thought up. No pressure Cakemanbri

You can order a cake as Lurkyloo stated. They have an awesome pastry team, they have made my birthday cake for the last 5 years....and they made my wedding cake. They are very creative and their cakes are always moist and flavorful. You will need the date, time and name of your reservation at Cape May and they will have the cake ready at the restaurant for you. The pirate and princess cakes I believe are premade by Sara Lee not the YC/BC bakery.

Have a great trip!!! Cape May is one of my favorite locations good food variety and I have gotten some of the cutest pictures there.

Here is my daughter Taylor's cake. We got this at 1900 Park Fare on Aug 15th. It was an 8 inch cake with white chocolate filling. The cake was very delicious and was a HUGE hit with the Tremaines. I am adding all the details of our night with them to my TR now if anyone wants to read it.

The cake cost $75.

Hi everyone I just wanted to let everyone know about our cake experiences this week. I ordered 4 different cakes/desserts. The first one was the mini castle cake at GF Cafe. I ordered the mini castle for DH for our anniversary. The cake was adorable but tasted a little stale.

Our second cake was at Tutto Italia for my nephew birthday. We ordered the cake from the podium when checking in. It looks like Tutto added some chocalate sticks to it. We thought it was yummy.

The third dessert was at GF afternoon tea. I ordered the white chocolate slipper for DD. The waitress brought out to DD and told her it was fro. Princess Aurora. DD was very excited about it and tasted yummy.

The fourth cake was at Chef Mickey's I ordered the Pirate chest cake at the podium. DS was VERY excited about and it tasted yummy. Perfect for a Buffett since it has lots of desserts. I have pics to share when I get back

Does anyone know if it is possible to have two characters from different movies on one cake? Could we have Mulan & Stitch on a single cake? Mulan is my favorite character and Stitch is my husband's favorite and we would love to have the two of them on a cake together.
