Hi we just had a mickey head cake at Cape May two weeks ago for my husbands birthday.

It was very good. We got the white cake inside and it had a white frosting between the layers, then the outside wa all covered with chocolate and it had these, what looked like chocolate rice crispies on the sides.

The cost was $48. We did the whole shabang and got the table centerpeiceand the delux goody bags. It was great. They did a really good job at Cape May for us and kept it quiet so my husband had no idea even that the cake was coming til the end. He thought it was cool that we had just decorated the table and the bags.

About the white chocolate cake, I do know that there have been others who have been able to post pictures of similiar cakes so perhaps with some searching, or if someone reads this they can repost a picture of what it would look like for you.

I was thinking of just doing my own table setting but you liked the way the table was decorated?? How much per goody bag were they?? What was inside?? I know not about cakes but exciting too

The table was decorated with mickey head confetti and they put a table centerpiece, which is folder like thing that opens up and it pops up. It has a 3d castle and in front is goofy and mickey and friends all jumping and celebrating. It was like a pop up centerpiece at a childrens bday party but it was really cute and we could bring it home so we can use it again at other parties.

The goody bags you have two choices the regular and deluxe. We got the deluxe bags that comes with a canvase tote that says celebrate. The bag is small like maybe four or five inches, not like a big tote bag lol Inside there was mickey mouse magnets, a mickey straw, a little coloring book and crayons and paper mickey ears. There was also a signed mickey mouse card.

It was really cute and the good thing was the restaurant took care of the whole thing, so I didnt have to remember to bring table decorations or added things. It was well worth the money.

The centerpiece I think was 8 dollars. Cheap enough and really cute. We did this our first night and had the centerpiece in our room all week so that was cute.

The cake sounds wonderful! I want this one for my Birthday in a few weeks but not sure whether to get it delivered to CRT or to our room.

Has anyone ordered a cake from California Grill? I'd like to order one for our Easter Dinner and would like to hear the good, bad & ugly on CG's cakes.

I've ordered from the Yachtsman Steakhouse in the past and they have been nothing but excellent.

I heard they kind of changed them. I think I wanna get one at Crystal Palace tomorrow. What flavors do they come in?
I saw a picture of one from September which was really cute and then one from June that wasn't so cute.

We got for something like $35-$40 an 8" white cake with white icing for my dd's bday a couple of weeks ago. Delivered to 1900 Park Fare at the GF. It was beautiful and extremely delicious. It was supposed to be non-dairy due to my dh's lactose problem, but he said he had "some issues" that night, so it may have been regular. This would have been a problem if he had a dairy allergy! However, it was one of the best tasting cakes I've ever had. BUT, no one told me when I ordered it that it is not brought out at the end of your meal. It was brought out while I was up at the buffet, so I didn't even get to see my dd's face when it came out. My brother ran over to get me bc the waitress had my camera and was taking pics of my dd standing next to the cake and he knew I would be upset if I missed the whole thing. The waitress then took the cake away and brought it back at the end of our meal for us to "have your own celebration". I had assumed it was taken away to slice it, but it came back with plates, forks and a knife for us to slice it. So, I don't really understand why it had to be brought out that first time. The waitress told me that they deliver all the cake orders to the tables at once, when they arrive and then are brought back later for "your own celebration". Do the waiters/waitresses need a celebration too? I just think that is a bit ridiculous. They should tell you when you order it. Especially, when you are having it delivered to a buffet restaurant. Luckily my dd is only 6 and wasn't heartbroken that I wasn't there when they first brought it out, but I was.

Ooooh, that's pretty! Can I ask what flavor it was and when you ordered it? Did you specifically ask for the sugar flowers on top? I'd be annoyed too if they brought it out at the start of our meal! That is rather ridiculous. Thanks!

That's a shame. Both of the cakes we ordered were brought out at the end of the meal, but we've never ordered a cake for a buffet. It sounds to me like you just had a clueless server, because I can't think of any real reason why they'd want to bring it out twice.

For those of you who've ordered cakes recently, could you please fill me in on the frosting? Does the buttercream taste like Crisco or is it real buttercream? Is the whipped cream frosting real whipped cream?

I was just wondering where I can order a celebration cake? My oldest daugter is graduating a year early and while we are WDW we are celebrating both girls brithdays and i was just wondering where i can get a celebration cake And I was going to have it 1900 park fare when we go to dinner.

Can these mini wedding cakes be ordered in custom flavors or just the stand yellow or chocolate? I want to order one for our anniversary dinner in May, but I'd like to get chocolate cake with amaretto mousse filling because that is what we had at our wedding. I'd be willing to order it slightly larger than the regular 4" size if need be. Also would you recommend the GF cake or the BW bakery cake or were they about the same? We're dining at the GF, but we're staying at BWV so I could easily walk over & pick up a cake from the bakery. Thanks for any input!
