When you had it delivered to your room, did you have to specify a time.

How did that work?

Hmmmm......trying to remember. I told them what day I wanted it, and that I wanted it to be delivered when we were at the parks so it would be there to surprise them when we walked in the room. So I'm thinking I must have given them some kind of ballpark time to bring it, because how else would they know when we were gone, right? :confused3 LOL, sorry I can't remember better, but I'm pretty sure that's how it worked. Good luck with yours! :)

This is my birthday cake from last year. (August, 2008)
10" white cake, custard and strawberry filling, whipped cream frosting. Garnished with white chocolate shavings and fresh strawberries.
Ordered from Boardwalk Bakery, delivered to Flying Fish. It was FABULOUS!
They brought it to the table, then took it back to the kitchen to slice it. After that they boxed it, so I do not have pics of the inside of the cake.

We have requested a duplicate cake for my birthday this year, so hopefully it will work out. There was a lot of drama with trying to order last year - thought it was going to send DH over the edge. :sad2:

So here is the birthday cake we got at Citrico's last night. The pictures do not do it justice. The flowers were amazing and edible. Tinkerbell and the flowers had a subtle glitter/shine all over them. The restaurant was great and plated the slices beautifully and boxed up the rest. The Grand bakery is fantastic! It was $140 total. 10 inch Marble cake with custard and strawberries, frosting under green fondant. White chocolate Tinkerbell and purple and green flowers and vines/leaves/butterflies. Everyone LOVED it!

we celebrated my mom and my dd bday at CRT - I preordered the slipper dessert, and they brought out the cupcake (with a candle) - that was enough for our family! We tend to go touring, and didnt want leftover cake -

another year I did lunch at CRT and had a cake - that worked because we got to the early emh toured MK had lunch at CRT with a gorgeous chocolate chocolate cake - had it boxed and went back to our resort!

so they will do a cake a breakfast -

cool-does anyone know if the doanything creative with like waffles or something..dont knowif we wanna eat cake at 9am??! im sure my daughters would love it though:laughing:

OH MY GOSH!!! PatriciaH, I love love love that cake. :worship:

We are going for my daughters 6 birthday this August. She was sitting next to me when I saw this and she flipped! She said mommy that is the cake I want, but with pink instead of green!:rotfl:.

It is so beautiful, they did a fantastic job! Since we will have her birthday dinner at 1900 Park Fare we will be able to order from the GF Bakery as well.

I hope you don't mind but I am totally stealing your cake idea (imitation is the sincerest form of flattery).

My DS's 6th bday is in 2 weeks. I ordered the Mickey Head cake at Cali Grille the night before his bday. On his bday I ordered the Pirate Treasure cake at Crystal Palace for breakfast (along with a goddy bag and pop up centerpiece) and then we are getting the Chocolate Exinction at T-Rex for his bday dinner. Lastly, CR private dining is supposed to leave a while chocolate monorail in the room while we are in DTD.

You can never have too much celebrating!! :rotfl:

I am SO confused & am in need of HELP!

DD turns 11 on 8/15 ~ we are staying at AKV's ~ going to Typhoon Lagoon ~ eating dinner at Cape May.

She will have PLENTY of sweets all day between dessert with lunch & a snack so all I wanted was a little special something either delivered to our room for when we return to shower before dinner or delivered at dinner when we sing Happy Birthday to her

I called the hotline # & was connected with AKV who said that only have 6 inch cakes ~ WAY to big.

I called Yacht Club & the only small item they have is a white chocolate castle ~ she is not a fan of white chocolate.

Is there no way to get the chocolate slipper delivered to Cape May or AKV? Does anyone have any suggestions other then the $15 Princess Treasure Chest cake?

Thanks!

well just think of the birthday cupcake as a sweet muffin!! (and the resorts have been carrying cakes in their refrigerated cases, very reasonably priced... so you could always celebrate twice!)

It was a beautiful setting, a wonderful, magical time to have those birthday cakes at the castle, I still see my mom's smile !

Absolutely beautiful cake PatriciaH! I guess the GF bakery has gotten their act together because they sure are turning out some gorgeous cakes.

That cake looks delicious can I ask about how much it cost you? I'm looking for ideas for DD's 15th bday but we are eating at Leceiller that night!

They really did do a great job. I told Pat what I wanted and sent her a picture of some flowers. The color combo was great. Julia was SO shocked! It was for her 3rd birthday. Enjoy and post pictures of yours! When she saw Tinkerbell she said "I am going to eat her head." LOL.

I left a message at CBR yesterday and haven't heard anything back yet. Hopefully I will today because we arrive in 2 days.

I am very excited for June 7th. I had originally ordered a cake from CR for our dinner at CM for June 9, however there wasn't a whole lot of options. I didn't want anything too girly because I am celebrating my DD 14 and DS 8 birthdays together can't afford 2 cakes or eat that much for only 3 of us. So since we changed our dining plans for our first night to Cape May and I have heard such wonderful things about their cakes, I gave them a call. I never heard back the first night I spoke with some one until 2 days later. Once I did though, the manager in charge of private dining was wonderful we made phone calls back and forth all evening yesterday. He wasn't sure what I was looking for and originally quoted me a $1200 price. :eek:Yeah no thanks! I love my kids but hello!:rolleyes1 So after I told him what I wanted because it is hard to choose something that they will both like. So after another talk with the baker, he is willing to make the cake I wanted and had seen on here some where but can't seem to find it any more. Some one had a Mad Hatter hat cake at the GF, so anyways I am getting my cake that I want for the kids and apparently it will be nicely decorated. So I cancelled he edible image one from CR, I don't care for those at all. So I am so excited and plan on taking tons of pictures! Sorry so long just had to share!

Good Luck - I left a message at POFQ on Wedneday evening and am still waiting!! In fact called back Thursday and faxed on Friday and still no joy :rolleyes1

We arrive a week tomorrow, but want to get sorted ASAP as I need cake for our first full day (DH birthday!)

Fingers crossed someone calls tomorrow :worship:
