I'm not sure I would trust the inconsistent temps of a cooler. But that may just be me. The "rule" is 6 hours at room temp, 6 days in a fridge, 6 months in the freezer (the amount of time can vary depending on who you ask, lol). Also, I totally understand someone watching baby while mom's at a park, but the cold medicine isn't a problem. There's lots of meds that are safe to take while BF. Here's a link to a site that has great info: http://www.kellymom.com/health/meds/cold-remedy.html#meds
Also, I've seen others say that it's possible to "rent" a bigger fridge from the resort, so that's a possibility, too.
Thanks so much for the info. I will pass it along to her.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!
but I spent a lot of time at family get-togethers hiding out to nurse with my first two kiddos. When number three came along, I decided that they can leave the room if they don't like it that my baby is nursing. Now, I didn't give my brothers in law a show- I was discreet and used a cover when we weren't at home, but I did feed my son when he needed it. It really just took a few times and they accepted it and I never heard a word. Now, who knows what was said behind my back, but I really don't care! Good luck and enjoy your trip!
