I'm loving these cakes! And we are celebrating a birthday and a anniversary this trip.... Does OKW have a bakery?

Well i placed my call into Linda yesterday, to see about getting the custom Lady and the Tramp cake for our anniversary dinner at 1900 Park Fare. We'll see what she says. :wizard:

Does anyone happen to know if the cakes that are sold in the Pop food look like the ones on here for 12.00 ( the frozen ones)?

Does anyone know if these cakes need to be kept in the fridge? I'm about to order DD"s cake for Chef Mickey's on her Bday but we are going back to MK after dinner. I will tote it along unless it needs to be in the fridge. Maybe I should just :confused3 order the cake for the room instead.

Yes, i believe they are the frozen kind, because Pop doesn't have a bakery.

to keep the freshness of the cake, it should be refrigerated. I don't think the cake survive an evening in the parks, sorry. If you were eating at MK, maybe the restaurant would hold the cake until park closing, but since you are eating at Chef Mickey's, that won't help. Sorry.

We are going to Chef Mickeys too and I had that same dilema ~ I decided just to order it for the room.

We will be going to watch the fireworks after Chef Mickeys which means we would have to tote it around with us during Wishes.

I may do the small cake at a few of the restaurants though as we are celebrating 3 Bdays during our trip!

Woo hoo!! Linda called back, she was super nice and very easy to work with. They can't do the stand up Lady and the Tramp ( I didn't really think they would be able to, but figured i'd ask anyway. ) So we went with the screen image painted on the white chocolate. 8" Chocolate cake, with White Chocolate mousse filling, and white buttercream icing. We'll also have the "8 years of magic" white chocolate scroll. She said it would be about $45. The price isn't bad, I charge $25-30 for an 8" cake, and that doesn't include any of the chocolate work.

I'm excited!! I haven't had a cake made by someone else in a really really really long time!! I'll post pics when we get back!!!

I am getting ready to order a cake from the GF - I am staying there. I am a disney bride and the last time I did this I got my anniversary layer reproduced (um I ate my top layer during the honeymoon and devised an evil scheme that I would have to go back for our 1st anniversary to have a new cake made) So they looked at exactly what I had. Well this time will be out 1.5 yr and also just befor my husbands birthday, I thought about trying something different...

Was wondering about sizes:
and what cake and filling flavors they offer, have they offered anyone the peanut butter mousse?

Can someone direct me to what page number would have photos of the cakes from Le Cellier and 50's Prime time?

Thanks a heap!

Other than the mini-castle wedding cake at GF, and the Cinderella Slipper at CRT, there aren't any cakes that are specific to a restaurant, that I can think of. They are all going to be about the same. You can either do the Edible image, or have it generally decorated for birthday/wedding/anniversary/any occasion with flowers and stuff like that. I would just pick a theme and call the restaurant and see what they can do!

When I called Linda today, she offered Buttercream, Chocolate Butterccream, White Chocolate Mousse, or a fruit Mousse (tropical, strawberry or raspberry) as fillings. I haven't seen the peanut butter mousse. As for sizes, depending on the amount of people you are feeding, it's either an 8" or 10".

Thanks so much - I'll be calling in a few weeks to see what surprise anniversary cake they can do for us.

For my daughter's 12th birthday we ordered a Tinkerbelle cake at Chef Mickey's. It was incredible.

Does anyone kow if you can buy the white chocolate castle I've seen on top of some cakes, just the castle without preordering?

We're in the process now of figuring out what to do for my birthday cake and have made way too many calls to the cake hotline the last couple of days. A few questions for y'all:

Has anyone here ever had the tropical fruit mousse filling? What does it taste like (i.e. is it heavy on coconut/pineapple, or something else)? Would you recommend it? Anyone have a picture?

I'm not a big frosting person, so I'm thinking a mousse filling would be best. But I can't eat white chocolate and my dad can't eat raspberries. Thanks a bunch in advance! :wizard:

I have another question. If you have the cake delivered to your room, waht times do they deliver?? Also can they leave it in the room. We are staying at Pop and not sure how this works.
