How are the mini-castle cakes at the GF? I was thinking on ordering one for my upcoming trip, but had read a few pages back that the GF cakes haven't been that great lately. I just wanted to get some opinions before ordering it.

I thought they were delicious. They are mass produced yet yummy! I enjoyed the mini cake more than the white chocolate slipper.

We had the castle cake a few weeks ago. It was delicious!

I am thinking about ordering the mini castle and the slipper dessert but picking them up and taking them over to O'hana's for a special surprise, my question is can I do this? Will GF let me order them and pick them up myself and take them to a different location?

No. The GF does not allow for pick ups. There is no actual bakery for you to walk into like there is at the Boardwalk Bakery.

You must be either staying at or eating at the GF to order their special desserts.

Anyone know what the going rate is on the Mickey head cake? Can it still be gotten at Chef Mickey's?

Yes. Just call the resort you're staying at and ask to speak with Private Dining.

Has anyone gotten the Mickey head cake at WCC? I am just trying to figure out which would be more fun for a boy's 6th bday, Chef Mickey's or WCC
But that mickey cake is nonnegotiable!

I've definately decided on the mini cake. Now I'm trying to pick a flavor. Anyone have a favorite? Is the cheesecake actually a cheesecake or is it more a cheesecake flavored cake?

Sorry if I'm missing it somewhere...but is it best to order from the restaurant we are eating at that night? We will be at Yachtman's Steakhouse for our DS's 16th birthday. Can I get a Mickey Head Cake there? I read the first page and it seemed like that cake was only available at MK. Maybe I misunderstood?

Also--any suggestions for decorations? Has anyone seen an Aerosmith (RNRC) cake? Any idea if they can do that?

Just tell them you need it delivered to the Yachtsman you will need the date, name on the reservation, reservation number and a credit card number they don't charge the card until you are at the restaurant. I have gotten many cakes there they are awesome!!

I need help!!! Need to choose a place to order a Star Wars theme birthday cake and don't know which dinner would produce the best cake.

We are eating at Narcoosee's, Le Cellier, Crystal Palace, Coral Reef, Artist Point, and Rose and Crown for sure. Does anyone have a reccommendation concerning the best bakery/chefs servicing these restaurants?

Oh, we are staying at CBR (I don't know if they deliever one to the room or not)....
