Does anyone know the kind of cakes they can make? Do they put a filling in the cakes? With all this info I might be getting info mixed up does the bw bakery make the miniature wedding cakes? We got married at disney so that would be cool. It'll be our anniversary and we'll be staying at the BWI. If I order something will they deliver it to our room if we aren't there? Our first meal will be at the ESPN club. Will they let us bring it there? Do they make chocaolate covered strawberries? Thanks lots!:yay:

That's what I'll do!
I LOVE that TINK picture in your signature...is that a cake??? I don't think my DS would appreciate it :rotfl: , but DD sure would!!! :lovestruc

Yes it was a cake - my fiance wanted my first birthday with him to be special and it was!! He knows I love Tink.

Are cakes available in every restaurant? Or do they just make them at certain restaurants?

Slight change in plan... we are now staying at the Beach Club. Would anyone reccomend a cake delieved to room or just walk to the Boardwalk Bakery and pick one up....

I know this has been posted a million times...but.....I do not know how to use the search tools. Can anyone tell me the # needed to order a Birthday Cake for DS. We will be there next week for his 8th. Are there lots of choices, sizes?? There are only 5 of us in our family.
Thanks

We just back from Disney on Monday. We celebratated my daughters birthday while we were there. My best friend and her family also joined us (her middle daughter is my daughters best friend). We had dinner at the Whispering Canyon Cafe and I ordered my daughter a cake and it was fabulous. Marble cake with chocolate mouse filling and white buttercream icing. They only do flowers to decorate but they did it in my daughters favorite colors. It was beautiful and tasted great. We had such a good time our server was Rafael and he really played it up for us and we laughed the whole time. The food was great. My friends husband even thanked me after the meal for making such a good choice in restuarants. They say WCC will be a new tradition for them. Wish I was still there!!!!

Personally I would order at the Beach Club. I have always had great cakes from them - their pastry team is awesome!!

They won't do star wars cake. We asked for one and disney doesn't have the license to do them. so we got a capt jack instead.

I've *think* seen several Star Wars themed cakses-I think it depends on who you speak with and if you send them in a picture or not.

Will Yacht Club do a 10 inch cake with fondant, mickey stamps and my cake topper? We are celebrating our 25th at Yachtsman Steakhouse.
Will BW bakery do it if YC doesn't? TIA

I have seen a few Star Wars cakes done on this board. I remember that OKW and Poly did some cute ones. I guess I will try to order one from the BC and have it delievered to the room. Will keep my fingers crossed that they can do something for me!

Where did you ask for one? Just curious... Maybe it's up to each resort. We are going during Star Wars Weekend... maybe I can get something done at DHS for lunch one day if the BC won't do it.

Hey everyone this Disneybride needs help with ordering a cake.
Every year it seems like options change so I am confused.

I was hoping to get the Mickey & Minnie wedding cake (the one with Minnies Dream wedding on the front) at Cinderellas Royal Table.
Is this possible?
If not where can I get that?
We were hoping for something white chocolate and we usually just get a wedding cake replica from one of the Grand Floridian Restaurants....but I saw that cake and my jaw dropped.
Can anyone help me?
Or is there something similar you can suggest?
Thanks in advance
Gabrielle :bride:

I know I've seen Star Wars themed cakes on the boards but can't find photos? Can anyone help me by posting a link?

Here's a picture of the cake topper I want to use on our 25th anniversary cake. It's going to be a 10 inch cake with fondant icing, with silver mickey head stamps on it. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to decorate around the cake topper/top of the cake so that it doesn't look too plain?

TIA

I went to the boardwalk bakery, and then called the cakeline while i was there. which that was 10 days before his birthday and both said no. This was Sept 07.This was for LeCellier.

Well, if I have any other luck I will let everyone know. Maybe Beach Club can do a basic cake and I can add some star wars action figures to the top of it (kinda like the one pictured somewhere in the 40s page section of this thread). It would still taste yummy!!!! MMMM..... Love cakes....

Thats a great thought - I have done that before.

Licensing agreements do change - so that may be why they could do them before and can't now. Their cakes are Awesome - they have a great pastry team!!
