Thanks for the letting us know park hours have changed, everyone!

I liked last week's update for our first week in Disney starting 8/19. They update every Friday for a few weeks out. This Friday will update hours for the week of 8/26

Got to MCO about 3:45 PM. Approaching the Poly, and it’s pouring after being sunny most of the time we were driving in Florida!

Can’t win them all, I guess!

Got the major rides I wanted to LL yesterday. Not necessarily at the times I would have liked them but that’s ok…it’s a go with the flow trip

So... after all that, we're looking at extending a day.

We got a deal on the room (40% off as a DVC member). Not sure if we still can for the one night, but it's possible. It's still the same property manager that was here three years ago when we were stuck in the room with Covid.
It looks like the flights may be cheaper. I can't change it on the app, though, so I have to go through Delta's CS. Have to do this first.
I likely will not have any issues with transportation to/from the airport.
Job isn't an issue.

One of the really good things is that it allows us to have a nice dinner on our last night; right now, our last night is H2O Glow.

Delta was surprisingly easy, and yes I have full confirmations.

Second guessing and double checking…I do not want to pair my magicband+ until we are on florida. Since those and my OG bands are still linked I will be able to open the hotel door and access the parks correct? Even without pairing to my new phone’s Bluetooth?

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. But all of the bands listed as active in your MDE account should work to open your resort room and to access the parks. I'm not sure why you don't want to pair your new Magicband+ ahead of time. Having more than one band is normal.

We're DVC, I have an AP, and my son's daycare is closed the last week of August so I figured, why not take him on a little getaway! Still working on our trip plans, but I'm already mentally strolling with him up Main Street.

Today was our LLMP booking day. Very easy system to use. Took me 10 minutes total to do all my days. I was able to modify the times given and overlap them, for the most part. I was able to get 9am return times for every day as well, but when I went to modify both my 10:15 pirates and 11:15 Haunted Mansion to try to overlap them, their return times were already out to the afternoon. I paid with a gift card and saw a tip that said to copy the card number and code to your notes app so you can copy and paste into your payment method and that was incredibly helpful.

I like the system for pre booking-- will be curious how much I can do while in the park.

I definitely need to start packing. My house is pure chaos right now but we leave Wednesday so I probably should think about what to bring

I love doing recaps of the day when we are here and if anyone has questions or wants to see if something is available somewhere, my husband and I are pretty much always up to go on a hunt to get the answer. It's just the 2 of us and we are really just excited to have this time together in our fav. place so let us know if anyone has questions when we are here -- happy to help !

Which one for a 4 PM dinner so we make the 6:30 Chip and Dale Campfire?!?! I am leaning Storybook but I really am having a terrible time making this decision. What a problem to have, right?!?!

I would definitely choose Hoop Dee Doo or Storybook. There is a bus to FW from WL that makes it convenient. If you are driving and want to do the campfire than you might want to stick with Hoop Dee Doo so that your car is there when you leave the campfire.

Love Hoop Dee Doo and Storybook, but I would pick Hoop Dee Doo - so much fun! It's entertainment and a great meal (and includes sangria / beer).

Also agree with staying close so picking betweeen Hoop Dee Doo or Storybook. Both are really good but also very different experiences. If it was me, I’d pick Storybook because I love the Evil Queen and I like the food choices more than the food at HDD.

Whichever you pick - it’s going to be a fun dinner !
