***Official August 2022 Thread***

We are arriving on the 21st as well. We will have spent the previous two weeks visiting family in Georgia. My husband is flying back to NY while my sister, neice, daughter, and I take a quick "Surprise Girls Trip" before school begins in Sept. We are staying at POP.
Plans
21st - Arrive, brief swim, dinner at Chef Art's
22nd - HS, lunch at Hollywood and Vine, dinner at Sci Fi. and Droid building right before closing
23rd - Hotel pool, lunch at Beaches and Cream, and of course MNSSHP. We ordered cute shirts from Etsy.
24th - Epcot - Lunch at Space 220 (for the 1st time.)
25th - Breakfast at Topolino's, check out, and Typhoon Lagoon before we head back North. Since we are driving home we plan to stop at some outlet malls along the way and finish up school clothes shopping.

Jammed packed but, I can't think of a better way to end summer.

Hope you have a fantastic trip!
Ours is our end to summer too! I love that it’s a surprise girls’ trip. So awesome you got a Space 220 ADR!!!

We're leaving tomorrow evening. Our first full-week (8 days, actually) trip ever. After so many cancellations, and so much hardship, I feel . . . numb. Anyone else get overwhelmed as the date gets closer?
Yes, this upcoming trip is our third attempt, and my fourth attempt, as I had a runDisney trip cancelled in Feb 2021 as well, all due to Covid and travel restrictions. It feels like something we talk about but will never actually come to fruition. But each obstacle seems to have disappeared, and now it's 15 days until we fly. I will only believe it when I drive under the Walt Disney World sign to our resort. Enjoy every minute 😁

Enjoy your trip!! I'm sure you'll have a great 8 days!

Are the magic band plus bands adjustable? I can order bands for our trip but I think its a waste of money for the kids who are 4 and 9.

They are adjustable just like the older versions are. But the face of the Magicband+ is bigger than the original ones. So with that my wife and daughter have small wrists to begin with so we are waiting till we get there and see them in person before I order any.

Thank you.

Got our park tickets and made our park reservations! Luckily party nights hadn’t filled up for MK yet during the last week of the month. Another sign that crowds will be lower hopefully!

I’m getting very excited now, especially after two canceled trips because of Covid.
Me too! This upcoming trip has been moved twice previously, 3rd time lucky! I also had my first runDisney in Feb 21 cancelled due to COVID restrictions. It's been a long time coming - 5 long years since our last WDW trip, there'll be tears for sure 😂

It’s going on 6 years this December for us! We’re taking one of my sons, DIL and my 6 year old granddaughter for 10 days! . Everyone is super excited.
