****Official August 2014 Thread****

Good morning everyone,

132 days until our toes hit Orlando soil, and hopefully only 24 days (or less? Please Disney?) until we conclusively determine if MNSSHP is actually being held on August 29th.

72 days until the last day of school for my kiddo (but less than 50 of those 72 days are actually school days). 79 until he graduates high school. I can hardly believe it.

24 days until DH and I celebrate our 21st anniversary. Feeling kinda old there .

The weather has been warm enough lately that actually have a grass-covered (vs. snowy) front yard. Admittedly, its brown and blah but its GRASS nonetheless . From the sounds of the weatherman, my backyard should also be snow-less by the end of the week, unless the forecast changes drastically between now and then.

That means we can finally BARBECUE this coming weekend (its been encapsulated in ice since the storm before Christmas) . Seems like forever since we grilled out!

I got my car cleaned out on Sunday. So nice to get all of the winter grime eliminated. I am always amazed at how much dirt accumulates between November and April.

And I have a couple of daffodils poking through in my garden . Can't wait to have leaves back on the trees, too, but that's still a while off.

Here's a question for anyone who can answer. DD loves to play Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. Last time we were there we uncovered the "unofficial" card trading spot. So what I'm wondering is there a spot where people go to trade Disney Infinity power discs as well? I know it's not a park game, but still Disney. So I'm thinking people would still like to trade.

Its amazing how much the weather/environment affects our mood! All the signs just point to us getting closer and closer to August

Stressful! but I'm okay now.

My SIL called to tell me that some family members and friends are going to fly down to DW for my husband's 50th birthday and surprise him. Of course they don't understand or realize that I was up at the crack of dawn a month and a half ago to book Ohana for his birthday dinner.

I was also feeling badly that we are on the dining plan (with free dining) and they are not. And we are staying at the French Quarter and there are no discounts there now. I thought about moving to a value because I know the moderate rack rate price with no discount is expensive for them.

But then I realized, that I could make all these changes for them and they could end up cancelling, and then we would be really disappointed. So right or wrong, I'm sticking with my favourite moderate.

But I did make reservations for 10 at the Biergarten on the night of my husband's birthday and that will be my treat.

We did it with 9 last year.....nope, definitely not cheap!

Doing it again this year with Ohana and San Angel Inn.

Jumping on board for my Family Honeymoon in August!! We also have my Soon to be husbands birthday and my youngest daughters birthday to celebrate on the same trip.
