For those trying to book SW tomorrow, do you plan on booking two one-ways or roundtrip. I always book roundtrip, but saw a post recommending two one-ways in case you need to rebook only one one of dates. Then I saw it's better to book roundtrip in case anything is cancelled for bad weather. It also supposedly keeps the fees lower. Since I'm booking points, I don't know that that really matters. Anybody have any advice on this?

I will be looking at 1 way flights because we will need to rent a car to drive to HHI after WDW and meet my DH and DS there (who will then drive us home after the HHI part of the trip). I have booked SW as a roundtrip and as 2 one ways...in Dec I did the 2 one ways and it worked out well as the price dropped for one way and I could cancel and re-book that to get a credit. We also changed one way to a day earlier...it just worked well to have it a 2 ways instead of roundtrip. I booked the 20th of Dec 1st as that was expensive and climbing...then I waited for a bit on the 25th so that I'd get a good price (and then it still went down after I booked it).

Anxiously awaiting SW flights tommorrow!! Is it the best advise to book right away ( tommorrow) or wait a few days?

Oh my goodness. I never thought about this. I always book Roundtrip, but that's a really good point about booking two one ways in case you need to rebook one way.

Now, I'm not sure what to do. :confused3

I think if it's cheap, you should book. I'm wondering if prices will stay the same all day? I won't have time to book until after work tomorrow.

I was doing some research and found Tuesday after 3 pm is best time to book a flight? It's always so hard to pull the trigger !!!

Actually, now that you mention it, I remember last time we bought our tickets, it was the day after tickets went on sale, which was probably on a Tuesday after 3pm. The prices were cheaper then the Monday. Now I'm really confused!

I have found in the past few years that SW opens at $169 each way from PHL and we usually wait until it goes to $109. We have had to settle for $139 as well though. The prices usually drop a few weeks after they are released.

Me too!! I'd take free dining too.

P.s. Snow is missing us!

I'm hoping to use all rewards points so I'll probably book right away if I have enough and then watch if they go down. I can go up to $189 each way and the flights currently out are as low as $129/$149 depending on date. I remember when the were $89. Those days are gone...

Hello All!
Just found this thread, so I'm hoping on board! We are booked for August 20-29 at POFQ with free dining (thanks to a bounceback offer from our trip last August!)
It will be me, hubby and our 2 daughters (14 & 15). Our 17 year old son is too cool for Disney now ;)
We just booked our flight on JetBlue out of Buffalo (SOOOO much cheaper than flying out of Toronto!) and our ADR's are all booked and we got everything we wanted. Now all that's left to do is wait!:wizard:

We've got rewards points for our flights too so hopefully we can get some good deals.

I am really bummed out. We had to cancel our August trip due to circumstances beyond our control. In 20 days, we are going to book our room-only reservation for August 2015. Oh well, another year and a half before we get back to Disney. It will be hard going through another winter before we get to enjoy the sunny Florida weather. Thanks for the great posts and planning ideas. I imagine planning in another year will be a much different experience with the changes in FP+ and My Disney Experience. Hopefully it will be fully implemented by then. I will be back again in another six months to start the planning process all over again.

Im so sorry! You'll have a better chance of the bugs being worked out.

dbramer that is a bummer :grouphug:

I am watching too, but I have been looking and it looks like SW does not do non-stop flights out of Boston...all of the prices are kind of crazy this year. I usually book JB as soon as the dates are released, but not this year so I am kind of freaking about the prices.

I have secured my departure, because I was worried and 127. one way non-stop seemed manageable compared to all the 200-300+ prices I was seeing

I have never had the courage to wait it out, but may have to this year, because the budget is the budget. God help me I even considered driving with my family that includes 3 DD's:scared1::scared1::scared1: but, then I came back to my senses...it is not that drastic yet...yet :rolleyes1

Very anxiously waiting for SW to open the end of Aug schedule to book. I wake up this morning and try and they havent done so yet. I wasnt sure what time it would be available however i am up for work and this is when i have time to do it. What the heck SW wake up i want to book my flight. This is the last part that i have to book. I checked JetBlue i cant believe how much more expensive they are then SW. Plus they have very few straight through flights from buffalo.
