Thanks! So much has changed since I last went 4 years ago....which is kind of crazy since it seemed very little had changed since my first visit in 1995! This whole magic band/fast pass + is blowing my mind and has me a bit perplexed, lol! Just when I had my whole FP "system" down....I'm not big on change. LOL!!

I know what you're saying, we didn't have magic bands for last August or fast pass + so I'm trying to get as much info as I can. We customized our colours for the magic bands last week but have no ideas yet on hours for our weeks yet so can't decide dining for which days. Good thing we have til the 20th for the calendar to be posted!!!

We don't have any particular spots for regular photos except for in front of Cinderella Castle

Last night I looked at all the up to date busy days guides and finalised our plans. As we are such a big group we will do one day at each park as a whole family (including BB and TL) but then left spaces for everyone else to put in their own plans.

The group ADRs we have settled on are:
Princess Breakfast (Akershus, Norway)
Boma
Be Our Guest
Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package
Donald's Safari breakfast
Whispering Canyon Cafe
House of Blues (the night we go to Cirque)
T-Rex

DH and I then also have planned:
50s Prime Time
Kouzzina
Grand Floridian Cafe (with MIL)
California Grill (with Brother and SIL)

Plus a meal for our anniversary. DH is going to book this but not sure if he wants it to be part of the surprise. I'm guessing not, as I will see it on MDE!

Just got to wait for booking on February 15th. As booking opens mid morning UK time I'm thankful it fell on a Saturday!

Good morning. DH just booked our very first August trip! We've been in Feb, Oct, Nov and Dec before. I'm a little nervous about the heat but figure afternoon breaks should help. We are taking DS12 (will be 13 by then though) only and leaving DS16 home. DS16 got to take a trip to Costa Rica last year so this is DS12s special trip. (DS16 does not care. He gets to stay home with access to a car and stay with his grandmother who will totally spoil him )

Myself and DD7 both picked pink (but I wish they had purple)

The obligatory Cinderella Castle photo - but with a twist
We have gone 4 years in a row since we started bringing our girls (this year will be the 5th) and every pic in front of Cinderella Castle has a common thing....our youngest DD either pouting or crying.

All of our other photos....everyone is smiling....but for some reason, DD7 never smiles in front of Cinderella Castle...it has kind of become a tradition. The pic won't be the same if she ever decides to smile!

Ha! Our DCL welcome cruise pic in summer 2012 is hilarious because everyone is smiling except DS who my DH had to hold to even get in the picture and e is leaping away from the hold and looks like he's trying to angry fly or something!

How were your rates?
Mine are high from here! I usually pay around $200 from the NY area and everywhere( Newark, JFK, LaGuardia, Westchester)is $300-$400. It's killing me!

I fly in from Boston and have not yet booked flights. I am seeing the same thing normally about $200 now looking at about $300 hoping that they go down

$250 per person! That beats the $750. they wanted for April. had to change my dates.

Yes. This is the official posting for hours. Disney's website takes forever for some reason to catch up. I always go by this instead of Disney. It is much more reliable.

I have a magic band question August friends.. it might be a silly one! How do actually get the bands? I've personalized ours but I'm confused if I have to do something to actually get them delivered. No rush obviously just curious. Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing but then I found out they don't deliver to me (Canada) so I stopped looking lol. Hope you get a better answe than mine.

I have the same question!! We customized them but there was no "order" button. Wondering how they'll know they're customized!

I'm also from Canada but I believe that once you customize your bands and verify your address, your bands will be shipped to your U.S. address (Fed Ex - I think) roughly two weeks to 30 days from your arrival date. You can check MDE around this time and it will give you the status of your bands. I think you may also receive an email stating when they are coming. Once they are shipped, they usually arrive the following day. It's quick.
