Just checking in! We arrived very early this morning. So early that I almost said we arrived yesterday, as I can't believe it's the same day! MK pretty crowded today. At DTD now. Also seems pretty crowded. Dinner at Raglan Road in a few!

According to Touring Plans, next week the crowds are due to drop dramatically. In fact, by the time we arrive on the 28th, the crowd level is forcasted to be a 1 out of 10! My kind of forcast!

The kids want to try a cruise next year (not Disney unless I find a good discount b/c they are $$$ and we were thinking of adding a stop at disney to it so hopefully this is accurate! now how many days??? hmmm.....

My husband wants to go to WDW in April, but I'm actively trying to talk him into a cruise. I priced on both the Disney Fantasy and the Oasis of the Seas on Norwegian. Same itinerary, same cabin category. HOLY FRIJOLES the Disney Cruise Line is expensive!

As much as I love Disney............don't hate me for saying this............we've been so many times in the last two years that I'm ready to move on and try something different. I'd like to go to Hawaii, but my husband has been 1,000 times. In fact, he will be in Hawaii while my daughter and I are in Disney.

I know right in the research I have boon doing a disney cruise is at least double!! craziness, I love disney things but cannot justify spending twice as much!

The other tough thing about cruises, especially the DCL, is that it seems that they do run steep discounts, but they are all for last minute cruise. We aren't the kind of people who can wait until 30 days prior to book a week long vacation. I have to put in for time off, and my husband has to request leave.

We were supposed to do 9 days at the Poly September 2013. My family out voted me and now we are doing a 5 night DCL on the Magic in October 2013. Then we will do a couple of days at WDW after the cruise.

Since I am not getting what I want, I booked a 1 bedroom suite and since it is a double dipper cruise, I am going to book a cabana both days at Castaway Cay.

Oh, did I mention that I hate cruises?!

Sorry you got outvoted that sucks. I have never been on a cruise. Have you been on a Disney cruise before? I was telling my chiropractor how I was going to Disney and he said while he loves Disney World he and his kids prefer the Disney cruises?!! He said its great interaction with the characters all the time and they 'really take care of you'. Not sure what that all means. I almost said 'well I heard it costs a fortune' but didn't want to since I give him my money each week now. At least my money is going towards Disney vacations. Anyway, my point is even if you don't like cruises maybe you'll like this one.

One more day of work left!!!!! Woo freakin hoooooooooooooooo I so need this vacation from that place!

I got my nails done tonight and totally cleaned the kitty litter. So for me it was a productive evening too. I am going to make DH do laundry tomorrow while I'm at work so all I have to do tommorow night is pack! Then Saturday we're off!!!!!!!!

Everyone is talking about how expensive DCL is, but the 5 night cruise in a one bedroom suite and 2 nights at POFQ (with 3 day tickets and dining plan) is cheaper than the 8 night, CL GV at the Poly, with 9 days of tickets and dining plan.

I am doing this for the family, and I know I will have some fun. I am looking forward to Castaway Cay, I love islands.

Well well, I cant sleep and getting anxiety and excitement thinking of Disney of course.
First, 2 more hours (central time) and I will be entering 10 days countdown.

Second, our December trip is confirm since I won a bid on Priceline for $15 a night for 1 week. Just broke the new to DH, he thought I am crazy. Since he doesnt care much of when and where we will go, as long he is on vacation he is good. He is so confused since we never been to Disney, and he had a hard time convince me to go to Disney for the first time (in 10 days) Now, all I talk about is DISNEY DISNEY DISNEY. He asked: "How do you know you will like it?, we didnt even go to our first trip yet and you have trip 2 and 3 plan" I told him about August disers trip, our excitement, he just doesnt get it.

He refused to pack or do much of anything. He thinks packing poncho is just another of my control freak moment. I cant get him to understand how right now.

I will start packing tomorrow. I have most everything I needed. I want to give the house a good clean before I leave too. So much to do.

Thank you all to August Disers, thank you for understand my insanity and moments. I hope to see some of you during our trips.

It is really nice to hear that the crowd levels will be going down when we get there . I too hope everyone that is in the World right now or are soon going will have wonderful and safe trips....

Wow! I was looking at price line but was only able to see rules saying 2 people per room gaurentee, am I missing somthing? Can you book for a larger family gaurenteed? What type of hotel were you able to get for that price?

I'm at my terminal I'm DCA! My flight doesn't depart for over 2 hours but I was so anxious to get here and have enough time for security that I'm super early, haha. In about five hours I'll be on DME! I can hardly believe it!

I still have 6 more sleeps. Which is good because there are many things left for me to do.

Have you guys been able to use online check in? I can't see resort reservations at all. It just keeps telling me there is an error. In fact, I have only had it work one time when I checked to see our resort reservation. The rest of the time it says there is an error.
Not a big deal I suppose. I will just bring my resort confirmation with me and check in the regular way.

LOL, I used to question my sanity too. In fact, my co- workers still do! Fact is, I couldn't and wouldn't want to be any other way. To me, planning and anticipating the trip is half the fun. I consider it part of my vacation. So, that gives me one up on everyone who thinks I'm nuts. I bet they don't have 180 day vacations lol.

There are those who do Disney by the seat of their pants and then there is "us", those of us on the DIS. I kinda like "us"

I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

I LEAVE IN 5 DAYS AND AM STARTING TO PANIC! What else do I have to do??

Last night my DH asked me if we have anything else to do...and I couldn't think of much at all! Give me a list, give me something. I'm freaking out.

This is what we have done so far:
- Mostly packed. Tops all picked out and set aside. I will have to toss in all the bottoms on Monday (leave Wed) as we are still wearing everything. I think I'll start packing the suitcase tonight. Toiletries also all packed. Just need my makeup which will be on the last day.

- Scoured through the Ultimate Packing List, packing incidentals like glow bracelets (30 of them!!), ponchos, sharpies for autographs, etc.

- Packed our park bags. OK - that is crazy anal - but since I was itching to do something... Our park bags are crazy empty this time around. I think we can even go bagless some days

- DH hunted down all the Disney gift cards and also packed a free $10 Starbucks gift card we just received to use at the airport before we leave. He also packed all the cash we will need (not much).

- Dealt with "leaving house issues" including housesitters and MIL-care. (That was interesting. My MIL was freaking out a bit last night).

- Followed up on the photopass share I'm organizing. I think all details there are set.

- Emailed TA to ask her to send in my room requests

- Downloaded ebooks on my Playbook for spare time reading

- DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO??!!! PLEASE GIVE ME A LIST!!!!

I feel like I'm forgetting a million things. All I know I have to do still is finalize my ADR plans and cancel a couple of ADRs. Oh I also plan to send my TA a list of all the ADRs I have to confirm I haven't forgotten any.
