UUUUGGGHHHHHH!!!!! We leave in 5 days and I broke my toe earlier today.

The best part? The humidity is bearable! Better than most days in PA this summer! No rain today and a storm yesterday afternoon. It is the best weather we have had in August....ever in 5 recent trips! Here's hoping that stays!

Thanks for the update! Glad to hear the weather is 'nice' for August. I hope it stays that way. Looks like rain all week next week. I hope its just short bouts of rain and not all day!

Meanwhile remember my check engine light was on my brand new car? Well they couldn't get it in until today and DH is saying its the 'transmission sensor.' Does that mean something is wrong with the transmission or just the sensor? Either way they better be able to fix it today. We are leaving Saturday!!!

Same here - in one week from today we are leaving and 9 days we will be in Disney. Staying overnight one night near Detroit Airport and then again in Orlando. Those will be two LONG nights lol.

Thank you so much everyone for your car rental advice, you all have been very helpful. I knew Team August would come through for me.
I think I'm going with the no rental car and taking the last two nights on site at Universal, and I'll use a Mears shuttle for $10 over to the Royal Pacific. I think the 1 hour early entry and the front of the line passes if you stay on site there are worth the extra $100 it would cost me over all.

On a side note, I woke up this morning to extreme humidity. For Seattle, it's SWELTERING today. It's supposed to be in the mid-90's, we are very not used to this here and this will be one of several day this month we've been hit with this weather. I will be stuck inside the clinic all day with patients, or I'd sit outside all day and consider this "Disney training". Kassidy is going to the water slides with her day camp, so in her own way, she's Disney training too.

These 9 days need to go quickly. I'm starting to lose it. I'm currently at my office and instead of working, I'm looking at my packing list and trying to decide if I should ship a box down. I can ship UPS for free through my work (as long as it's not abused), so I'm considering sending all the big bulky stuff down, like our fans, waterbottles, DD's swim floatie, etc. I think it could save us at least a carry-on. Guess I better decide soon if I want it to get there by next Friday!

So theres this horrible woman in our office who has a cold and due to the fact that she likes to be dramatic-shes hacking all over everything Now, Ive always had a great immune system and am rarely sick, but you know this ladys gonna be the death of me. Luckily, theres also a very sweet woman in the office who just gave me a handful of vitamin C drops, so Im taking them. I should just keep my office door locked so no one can come in and conaminate me I just gotta hold on till tomm at 5pm and then I am free and ,even more important, ON VACATION!!!!!!!!!

Ugh, I hate when people don't cover their mouths when they cough. Especially before we go on vacation! Don't they know we're more important and need to be healthy?! LOL

Ugh. Not cool. I bought an antioxidant blend vitamin to add to DH and I's multi last week and this week (and next week) to hopefully keep us healthy on our trip. I was going to get us some Airborne but this had the same stuff in it and it was a pill instead of a drink or chewy tablet. I swear DH would take anything I put in his little pill holder. He trusts me an awful lot.

OH and I just told my department I am off next week (boss already knew). They asked if I was going anywhere fun so I told them. The funny part is my boss was in Vegas last weekend and saw there was a Star Trek Convention so he thought for sure THAT is where DH and I were going. I told him we thought about it! It was on the short list with Disney World. I did tell them there was a Star Wars Celebration in Orlando while we're down there, but we're not sure if we're going to that. Too funny that they know me so well.
