Where did you purchase your transfer paper? Starting ours next week. Really hoping I do not mess these up.

I bought the Avery brand from Walmart. My only problem was that my printer kept crumpling the paper as it fed so I had to lightly lay my hand flat on the paper until it got started so that it would feed in straight.

Has anyone ever used scotch self laminating purchased from wal mart? I have all of my cutouts ready to laminate and I am a little unsure about using this product. I purchased 8x10 sheets I figured I could laminate and then cut to size and shape needed. HELP!!!!

I bought the same thing from Kmart and it has worked fine for me so far. I bought the luggage tag pouches and some 8x10 sheets both for this trip and for the last one I took. The luggage tags from our last trip are still holding up great and we've used the bags several times since that trip. I only had to make new ones for this trip because we moved and changed our phone number so the info on the old ones is outdated. Just take your time when you start and only peel a little of the paper back at a time smoothing as you go to avoid air bubbles.

I finished my intinerary chart. I like to have it in room, make sure its all together and Ill add ADrs to phone. Just realized My park hours are wrong now. Darn

This looks great! I took a screen shot of your spread sheet I know it will take me forever to find it again later the way this thread moves. I think I'll be starting all over again on mine.

I love your itinerary chart! Mine is so plain... I might need to spruce it up now!!

I know what you mean.

Cheshire Figment (the ticket guru of the Dis) always recommends making sure you use one day on your ticket first, especially if you got it at a discount or before the latest price hike. And yes, the PH + WPF&M combo is now just $79 (with one of the options being $57). So if you have one, it doesn't cost much to upgrade to the other. I looked into it as I have WPF&M. But there's just no time for me to parkhop. So finally figured the extra $20+ pp is just not worth it, even though it's pretty cheap.

I keep going back and forth on this as well. My issue is if I'm in one park then find our DHS is putting on some sort of surprise Star Wars show because of Celebration being in Orlando I'd be kicking myself for missing it.

Just shared on Facebook, but want to share on here too! I made our family T shirts for Disney tonight. It ended up being super easy to do. I printed off Mickey and Minnie head outlines. Then, I used those as templates (see templates in 2nd pic) to draw outlines on our shirts with Sharpies. I also used foam letter stickers - the stickers made them really easy to use and one set could be re-applied multiple times and were sticky enough to use for all 4 shirts (and a lot of shifting around as I debated best positioning, etc).

Back of the shirts

I'm so excited for us to wear them!

Wow they came out great! You'll be easier to spot in the parks with them on ;).

I finally got the last of my projects done for this trip. Had to go to my sister's house to iron on the transfers for the kids shirts because I can't find my iron anywhere. DH asked me where was the last place I saw it and I had to admit that the last time I remember using it was to make a tee shirt for my son announcing my latest pregnancy. My girls are 2 1/2  guess that shows how often I iron clothes.
I ended up making luggage tags, tags for the kids pin lanyards, tie-dye mickey shirts, and name shirts for the kids.

Now that that's all done I need to get my packing finished since we leave town on Thursday. :scared1:

Great shirts! That not an iron you are missing at this point I'd call it my T-shirt logo maker thingy.

I tried to make a bleach spray shirt. It turned out OK but I made a couple of mistakes 1) I got to detailed in my design did a Yoda one. 2) The shirt I bought is two small for me. 3) For some reason I figured bleach would make a black shirt white not rusty colored. I should have known better from all the black cotton pants I ruined when I worked in a meat shop and we would bleach the blocks.

The shirts look GREAT! :thumbsup2 I'd love to see the other items if you have time to post pics!!

I got mine from amymickey and they are the BEST! You can click on my PTR to see pics of my shirts but I made 40 shirts total and they are all fantastic! I highly recommend these transfers!

I've learned so much from this forum. We tie-died yesterday based on directions from here. I have made t-shirts, luggage tags, autograph books, and will be making stroller tags and penny containers too! :goodvibes The DIS has inspired me to be so much more crafty!!

We have 29 days to go  and I feel like this vacation is creeping up fast. Does anyone else feel this way?

Oh....I do! I do!

I was just saying to DH last night, while we strolled around the neighbourhood, that we only have three weekends to get all the rest of our summer tasks done. Where the heck has the summer gone? Seems to have passed even more quickly this year now that our son has also been working.

We JUST had this conversation!!
Dd is also in Catholic high school, so we're pretty set for the uniform. I decided instead of anything new I would just stick with what we have and hem the pants again (they came undone at the end of last year). She hasn't grown at all. Besides .. I spent almost seven HUNDRED dollars getting all of her uniform pieces last year:scared: So, I think we'll be good with new knee socks and tights for the kilt.
I stock up on supplies and keep a full cupboard going throughout the year so I am pretty sure we won't need much. I am literally thinking 20 or 30 dollars will do it. I also bought the kids really nice backpacks last year intending them to last a few years so we're good there.
DD's school just went back to a "Dress shoe only" policy. She had been wearing black moccasin type shoes from American Eagle. This change makes me a little mad because all the girls will wear as far as dress shoes is those stupid little flats which last about 2 months and are flimsy. Big waste of time if you ask me but the rules are the rules.
So all in I am hoping to get school shopping done for under 60. As far as clothes for ds.. I will admit I have a bit of a shopping thing :rolleyes1
So every time I see I good sale at Lands End or AE or wherever I stock up. I probably have an entire wardrobe in the next size up for ds so I won't need anything there. He goes through shoes like crazy though so we might need those.
I like that it's still hot here when we get back so he wears his shorts etc for at least a month.

I will pack up the bags and lay everything out for when we come home so I don't have to scramble at the last minute. We get home from our trip in the afternoon.. the day before school starts.

We will have one day to get ready.....we come home Sunday night, and the kiddo goes back to class on Tuesday morning. I am hoping to have 99% of his stuff organized before we fly out, so any prep for school will be minimal when we come home.

Love those school uniforms.....they make life so much easier :thumbsup2 . This is the first time I have had to buy anything for DS since he started grade 9. Got a full two years from his first round of clothes, so I am not complaining. This year's purchase: 2 short sleeve shirts, 1 long sleeve shirt, 1 pair of shorts and 2 pair of pants totalled $217 with taxes. Can't get 'em that reasonable at Hollister :rotfl: .

I hear ya on the shoe thing. Drives me crazy. Shoes always seem to be the bone of contention at DS's school. Some teachers will allow a certain style while other's won't :sad2: . The guys can generally get away with solid black running shoes as long as they don't have a coloured logo on them. The girls have it much more difficult!

For supplies, we need most of the "easy" stuff....binders, paper, etc. Still have the calculator, the laptop, and the pricier items. DS has already purchased a new school bag (right after school ended in June, oddly enough). I just don't feel motivated to shop for supplies yet.......it brings home the cold, hard reality that summer has almost passed us by.

Ths is me! I do not have a creative bone in my body...but have made the kids multiple t-shirts and autograph books thanks to all the great instructions here on the DIS!

19 days!!!! offically in the teens! cannot wait!:thumbsup2

I use them for every trip and they work great. Just be careful when you trim them and leave a good border so they don't peel apart. I always do my itinerary on 8.5x11 but a little reduced so it fits in the lamination. Everything I need is on one page - hours, ADR numbers, other numbers, and each day is color coded with which park I think we'll go to in the morning and evening. The whole thing then goes in my bag and makes a great fan thanks to the stiffness of the lamination. ;)

I bought a laminator last year when Amazon had it as a gold box deal, but I've never even opened the box! :sad2:

Very cute Shirts!

Question of the day: How many of you are not very crafty but are learning how to do craft projects for Disney thanks to DIS forums ?
Me, I am not a craft person but I love to make things my kids for disney. I know the kids appreciate it, saves us money at Disney too. DH and I dont wear any disney/characterTshirts but the kids love them. I did not actually make the Dr Doofenschmirtz shirt I disigned for DH, I knew he would have only worn it because I made it not because he likes character shirts.

I am not spread sheet savy so I actually just made the chart in word. I tried spread sheet but seems to be more work then I want to bother with. Good luck, I like doing it and feel more organized.
Sorry your Shirts didnt come out the way you wanted. I didnt get too involved for that reason, I always expect one thing and get mad when it doesnt work like I want. One of my blue shirts turned yellow not white!

I agree.. I am forever grateful that I do not do the "I have nothing to wear!!!" dance with dd every morning before school:rotfl:. You do have something to wear, and it's the same thing you'll be wearing for the next three years!:rotfl:

They brought back the stupid dress shoe policy, but they did relax the sweater policy which is nice. Before this year they had to have a sweater on them or with them from October to March.. no exceptions. Which was weird on warm days, so it's finally gone to allowing them to determine if they are actually chilly. :lmao:

Ds is also in Catholic elementary. They voted for a board wide uniform policy last year. It doesn't start until 2013 though so we have a little time yet. I'm fine with it, but I do hope for the little guys that we have more than one choice of uniform supplier. I'd like to be able to shop for sales as his uniform will need to be replaced often because he's growing. Oh.. and because he blows through the knees in his pants at least twice a month:rotfl:.

Not crafty. Not learning:rotfl:

I debated making a few things but I don't really enjoy it, and anything I make ends up looking like a kindergartener made it, so I gave up long ago:blush:

I'm hoping someone knows the answer to this because I did a search and can't seem to find it.....

We already have 7 day Park Hopper Magic Your Way Tickets as part of our package. We are thinking of doing DisneyQuest on one or two of the days and possibly a water park (which we never do). From what I can see, the upgrade to a water park and more park hopper ticket for 7 days is a little more than $20/person over the 7 day Park hopper ticket on the Disney Web site. One admission to Disney Quest is almost $50/person at the door! Am I reading the prices correctly and is it possible to upgrade our tickets once we have checked in? I am assuming it's too late to do this from home as final payment has already been made.

In June (I think) they changed the pricing so the 2nd option is now only $22 per ticket to add or a total of $79 for both options. We plan to upgrade our tickets to the WP once we get there, it will save us over $100 for for our day at TL.

I believe I heard you should use your tickets at least once before upgrading.
