The first page has all the info so far, be sure to post your resorts/ADRS/Park days (makes it easier for us to stalk ... er, find everyone :lmao: )

LOL It's a good day to be on the Dis.

Welcome newcomers!!!!!!!!!! The more the merrier!!! :cool1:

Best description of our little group!!

I agree that is an awesome discription StanSolo!!!

OK, As the Official Uncoordinated Cheerleader for Team August-I have now declared Thursday officially "Sigmund Freud Friday":lmao:

The good thing about what Im hearing in these posts, is that we recognize the dysfunction...that my friends, is the key to change it for us, and our lives, and our children-and their kids!!

:rotfl2: That's great!!! Yes, realizing there was dysfunction and changing it for the better is the key to breaking the cycle!!!

StanSolo - Any word on any additional Star wars stuff at WDW that week for the celebration? I haven't heard anything but thought I'd ask. :yoda:

Meanwhile I was meandering the rest of the DIS and found that Disney doesn't carry pet products anymore?!? Sad. I was planning on getting our dog a souvenier. I looked online and Disney store has nothing but there were a few things on Amazon. It's surprising because I thought Disney was all about the animals and pets. If anyone sees dog collars and such on their trip let me know! Thanks! :flower3:

Looks like Disney is planing on setting up a booth at Star Wars Celebration and will be doing the Carbon Freeze Me their. So far I have not heard of anything special going on at the parks. I'm still checking web sites and podcasts just in case I need to make a change to my daily plan.

NightAngel and Sara thanks for the compliment on our group discription I hope I didn't offend anyone.

Reading about all the Mother Grief is making me even more appreciative of my Mom. She's my best friend (always has been). We talk everyday....sometimes like 10 times :rotfl: (I think today we're up to 5 and its only 2 p.m.!!). She has been my biggest supporter, my greatest inspiration, and the person I can turn to with anything. I truly have always believed I was blessed with the worlds best parents.....we didn't have a lot materially, but we were loved and we knew it.

My sister........now she's another story :scared:. She drives me bonkers :crazy2:.

This is why caller ID is such a lovely thing!!
I do envy people that have a good relationship with their moms. Luckily I have my older sister, she's 16 years older than me, we both went thru the same parenting so we are SUPER close.

Ok, I saw that and thought it was something I didn't get. I didn't want to ask and seem dumb! :lmao:

Ohh, Got my ME mail today (closest thing to Mickey Mail I'll get)!!!!:banana::dance3::dance3:

I just thought that you meant to make that "mistake" to show your dysfunction.

I am truly blessed indeed.

Now my mothers in law (yes, I have two .... heaven help me :sad2:) are a totally different story. One ignores us completely (they live 30 minutes away and we haven't seen her and my DH's bio father in 2.5 years) and the other still hasn't forgiven me for (a) not having the same heritage as my DH and (b) only giving her one grandchild. For those of you that have great relationships with your spouse's mom, I am so envious!!

Anyone else get the pre-vacation blues? This happened to me the last time we went to Disney. I have nothing left to do for our trip but count down my measily 5 days and I just feel blah about it. Not sure if its just such a build up up to this point and I'm just dying to get there already or what :confused3 I haven't been sleeping well, I tend to get a little bit of anxiety whenever something this big comes up, I am waking up several times throughout the night. Maybe I'm just tired. I'm not even excited its Friday. :sad2:

Oh, my - yes :( I find myself second-guessing almost everything, to the point where I mumble about cancelling it all and not bothering to go.

For some reason, this trip has been especially bad for that.
I was SO excited to be planning for a trip again, after not going for 3 years, and right now, I wouldn't care if we ended up staying home. (at this point the only thing not cancellable is the airfare)

AND it doesn't help that I just found out this morning that my car needed repairs to pass inspection - they just called, and it's over $700 - that's more than our room :worried: :headache:

Like the idea of budgeting that little extra. Since it is just me I'll also volunteer to bump off of the plane I'd necessary. That's how I paid for this trip. Lol

That's not a bad plan!
I have thought of it before. There are five of us going this time, and if they need volunteers I would see if I and the two teens could take the next flight. We go often enough that we wouldn't die to waste a day, and then would have a nice credit for next time:thumbsup2

well in that case, you're still a member of the Friday Frued Club!!:lmao: My ex MIA (God bless 'er) is a wonderful lady and grandmother extraordinaire to my son. But Man oh Man, she is exactly like Marie, the mother from Everybody loves Raymond!! NO LIE- to a tee!!! My son is 22, lives on his own, and she STILL goes to his apt., fills his fridge with food and does his laundry-I AM NOT KIDDING:lmao: She doesnt bother me anymore cuz Im not married to her son any longer, so now we all just laugh at DJ (my son) cuz he has put up w/ with her on his own now:lmao:

That's amazing! I hope to have that kind of relationship with my kids when they're adults. :goodvibes

lol....it feels good to belong! :cool1: even under those circumstances :lmao: .

In all seriousness....misery does love company.....and how nice to know "I'm not the only one"!!

I hear ya about the finance worries:rolleyes:....it sounds like you truly need a vacation, but you certainly cant do anything thats gonna bite u in the butt at the end of the day. It sounds like your worry is overpowering your excitement for your trip. But we can only do what we can do and unfortunately sometimes life gets in the way of our fun, doesnt it. I hope everything works out for you. I cant tell you how many times "ive been there".:grouphug: Hugs to you-everything will work out in the end. Theres my dose of positivity for the week for what its worth:flower3:

I feel like a minority on this thread because I do not read too many posts from my male friends. I am the only male at my office and it seems like I am one of the few males on the thread.

I am the one in my family that is the planner, scheduler and tour guide for our family. I love every aspect from planning on when we go to where we are going to eat and all points in between.

I listen to WDW today just about every day as well as getting my park music fix each day with D-COT and Mouse World Radio.

My wife and kids love Disney but my wife said she does not need to seek help for her love like I do! She loves to go and so do my kids but they leave all the work for me which is a labor of love.

Any guys out there can relate? If so would love to hear from you.
