****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

Two weeks from today I leave for Disney. I now present you with dancing bananas...

My ticker is now under a month. YES!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Im still missing some much needed dining reservations. :guilty:

Also, with the storm tomorrow... I JUST heard about it. My son was whining about wanting to skip camp tomorrow, and I just might let him. Be careful getting to the city. Where is it that you get to the city from, anyway? We could be neighbors!

I live in Troy. It's a pretty easy drive - down the Thruway to 287 to NJ 17 blah blah blah to the Holland Tunnel. Then it's just a few blocks because the apartment is in Tribeca. :thumbsup2 I used to be totally intimidated by the idea of driving to/in Manhattan...until I did it!

Be careful in this weather!!

Anyone think that Disney will ever carry my beloved Dr. Pepper? Holy Moly, I could go for one of those when I am in Florida... No coffee, just my DP...That's what I jones for....:lmao:

Sneakers and DP, I am in heaven :rotfl2:

HAHAHAHA - I *almost* said that the coffee people are in as bad a bind at Disney as the Dr Pepper people!

Our commando August family has been picked for a Disney marketing research study before, during and after our trip. Sounds exciting. See thread on Theme parks page about hand held video camera survey. Our cameras have been shipped. Somebody wants to listen to me talk! :lmao:

We are picked too! Cool

How come every time I have someone scheduled to come to the house to give me an estimate on something, it's a torrential downpour? This morning it was the painter. Last time it was the contractor who was going to rebuild my front porch steps. When he did finally show up to measure everything for the estimate, he had to borrow my tape measure! :lmao:

We should meet up! I am going to the city this weekend and on vacation next week, but home in between Mon/Tues then home again most of the time until the 23rd when vacation begins again!

Wow, 1 day away and lots of reading to do!

My kids had a fever, headache and were very restless this past week as well. It lasted about 24 hours and then they were fine. I see you live near me so it must be something going around. I hope he feels better soon.
Fever finally broke last night, throat looks horrible, glands are swollen but can't do anything but treat the symptoms. Doc said if he still has it next week they'll test for mono :scared:

Now -- if Tim Hortons would open a branch location in Epcot....... :worship:

The Canada Pavilion would be the perfect place for a Tim's and while they are at it take the CM's out of the bush/Lumber Jack jackets and put them in some hockey sweaters.

Best ideas EVER!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I so miss my Timmy's when I'm out of the area.

30 days!!! :cool1:

Me too!!!! So excited!! :dance3: :cool1::banana::woohoo::cheer2:party:

Yea, you got any furniture you're lookin to sell?:lmao: Seriously, Im moving next week-and realized I have no living room furniture or bedroom furniture because when I moved in w/ my mom for a few months, I gave it all to my son for his new apt!! Now I have nothing!! Ah-the sacrifices we make for the kids!:rolleyes1 I COULD buy new stuff-but that would be cutting into my vacation budget-hells NO!!!

I totally agree on the Timmies!! I would love to see it at the Canada pavilion.
4 weeks from today folks!!:yay:
That's so close. I need to start making lists and such. Usually I have that stuff done months ahead of time.

I posted this before, but in case anyone missed it... Mousesavers has a wonderful "Ultimate Packing List". It's way more stuff than I would ever bring.. however it covers everything so it often reminds me of things I wouldn't have thought of.

You can find the download here..

Unfortunately, not right now! Too bad the timing isn't better! That's one thing DBF and I need to decide - what we're keeping when we combine households. If we stay in NYC, I think we're going to end up looking for a bigger apartment so it's a mystery how much space we'll have or what furniture we'll need.

He has a 2br place now but we'd like something just a bit bigger...though I shudder to think how much more that will be given what he already pays! I'm not supposed to worry about such things, he says. ;)

I hate coffee and flip flops....let's have our own corner!!!! :cool1:

I tolerate coffee, with tons of cream and sugar, If it's cold and I need caffeine and only wear flip flops to grab the mail and take the trash out. So I'm not sure what corner that puts me in. :)

I just paid off the balance on my room so now everything is paid off and so far have a $500 gift card towards food and snacks! :dance3:

Pigletto,

We use that list for all our packing needs. We have modified it as we don't have or take everything on that list. So we print out the original and go down it saying, yes we need that, no we don't need that and cross it off. Then my DH goes in and modifies it and prints out the new stuff, also adding anything not on the list as we need it. Then when it is day of trip, we cross off suitcases as they walk out the door so we don't forget to bring anybodys anything. Works like a charm every trip! :thumbsup2
