So they called. Apparently it wasn't going to be an "ok here's the job" phone call. It was an ok come interview with the assistant superintendent. So I have to go next Tuesday at 9. So we'll see! From what my teacher said that usually means I got it. She said I was probably recommended by the other two I interviewed with so they are probably gonna offer it to me that day. She said they don't wanna waste their time lol. But I'm going to go in there ready and willing to show my skills. You never know what their intentions are with these types of things. Thanks everyone for the pixie dust!! Please send some more my way next Tuesday lol

Lol, I'm 5'9", so apparently I tower over the rest of you. I feel like the circus freak.

Ha, I'm 5'7" and was beginning to wonder what the August-shorties connection was! That doesn't stop me from wearing high heels though...I can wear 4" pumps all day long, but 99% of flats make my feet bleed!

The good news on my ds ( don't know if you remember all my worry over his feet/Severs and not being able to walk). We've rested him and stretch him out before any sports and it has made a world of difference. It was definitely exacerbated by the soccer tournament and 5 games in short time span. We haven't had any problems in a few weeks so I think we won't need wheelchair. Just good shoes, lots of stretching (it is so important) and icing in the evenings!

It has just finally sunk in that we leave in 30 days!!!! That is nothing!! It has been a very busy summer and for the first time I haven't spent every minute obsessing about the trip. It's absolutely flying by and I think when I finally hit pack and prepare mode it will be here in a flash

And hey.....I haven't been over to this thread much lately, but I notice the second ticker in your signature suggests you deferred your originally-planned Christmas trip. Did I miss yet another modification to your resort/date/plan?

Just called and upgraded to photopass plus. Quickest phone call ever - seriously less than 3 minutes!

DH found out yesterday that he's got carpal tunnel bad enough to warrant surgery. I don't know anyone that's had the surgery to ask how the recovery is. I'm pushing for him to get it done sooner rather than later because it affects him when he rides his motorcycle.

DH had the surgery on both hands. His left (non-dominant) side took a little longer to heal. I think in both cases he was back to work in 6 weeks. I'll ask him tonight and will post if he answers differently.

Someone shorter than me! I'm just about 5ft even. I'm surprised we have so many shorties on this thread - usually I'm the shortest around by far.

My DD16 is even a little shorter than me. Needless to say she is not happy about it.

In other news, I got an email from my TA and my Mickey mail is in. I'm picking it up tomorrow right after work. And we decided to add the QSDP. I know we probably won't save any money with it, but I like having most of the food paid for before we go.

WOW, there are a lot of shortys around here. Just means I am in good company. I am 5' even! My DH is 6'1" (married him to reach high shelves and such ) My DS is as tall as I am right now, that could change at any moment though knowing him. My DD is striving to get to my height really soon.

GINA!!! Been missing you, girl! Come play with us more often!!! And why would you ever think Pigletto would change her mind? I mean really!

I hear you on this one. Victoria was born with a tethered spinal cord which inhibited her growth a bit. The poor kid will probably never reach 5 feet!

You guys are all making me feel tall & i am only 5'6" which is pretty average around here.

My son & husband are 5'11", my son will be taller than that any day now though.
