****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

Ok.. that's it. I am going to pack.::yes::

I'm sitting here glued to the Disboards trying to make time pass quicker (it's not by the way:rotfl:).

Everything but clothes and toiletries can go in the suitcases right now. Wish me luck folks. We still have 11 days to go and my husband is going to look at me like I'm a nutbar for pulling out the suitcases and dropping them in the middle of the rec room but I don't care:rotfl:

DO IT!

You're in good company. :goodvibes:goodvibes

That is okay I pulled mine out on Wednesday and the only place I could find was to rearrange the kitchen and place them on the table and chairs. DH just looked at me and said "really this soon".

Hahahaha! I'm doing the same thing! GO FOR IT! Yay DISNEY packing!

Looks like we are all packed...at least as much as we can do right now. We got everything into 2 checked suitcases and will take 4 bags that fit under seats on plane. The park bag is in our luggage, the wallet has all of our important cards, and my very important white envelope with tickets, gift cards, etc. is ready to go in my carry on. 48 hours and we are walking through the airport. Still trying to decide if we want the stroller...I say yes! DH is against it, but I would rather have it than want it.
I can't wipe this silly grin off of my face....my friends just don't get it!

Just got an ADR for Le Cellier for lunch on 9/1!!! I've been trying to get a lunch ADR since I booked this trip since its the last year it will be included on the dining plan. I'm so excited!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

YAY!! :cool1::cool1: I had been checking for Le Cellier since 180 days and FINALLY got an ADR 18 days out. I have never eaten there, but totally share your excitement!!!

Yay!!
I'm going to be checking and rechecking in the next 11 days for a few things. We got an 8:25 pm O'hana a little while ago, but I'd like something earlier. People will start cancelling the reservations that require a credit card hold pretty soon.

ETA) just to give you an idea of her excitement.. we were talking about the trip the other day when she was over and she got all teary and said she was going to cry when we walked into the Magic Kingdom. We all laughed because I get teary on the first visit to the MK every single time!! She'll have company lol.

I've been checking for one more ADR too. Fingers crossed that you get 'Ohana earlier. We are eating there the 29th, I think.

I have been saying the same thing to my DH, that I am going to cry when I get there. I can not wait!!!

That happened to me with a new car once too. It turned out that I didn't have the gas cap tight enough. Boy did I feel silly! I hope it is something as simple as that for you too!
Actually that is the FIRST thing DH checked when I told him. I was like 'really? you think I don't know how to put a gas cap on?' then he had me start the car again and the silly light was still on. But its interesting to know that it caused the light to come on for you. That's a good first thing to check. I wish it had been that easy. He's gonna go harass the service dept at Hyundai tomorrow. :)

Yay!!

I'm feeling a little bad that I don't have any character meals this trip. My kids go often enough that it won't matter to them. But this is dd's friends first trip and she is SO excited. I feel like we should put one meal in there with characters so she can get pictures etc. We don't stand in character lines if we can avoid it. Maybe we'll get fast passes for Minnie and Mickey in the MK. Decisions decisions.:rolleyes1

You probably already know this so I don't know why I'm sharing. BUT from what I've read online the Mickey and Minnie fastpasses are in a different system from regular fast passes so you can hold those with another ride at the same time. That said I plan on doing Mickey and Minnie fast passes too. I feel kind of silly waiting in character lines but I really want to see Mickey and Minnie! :)

In awesome news....DH is feeling GOOD! He took his shot yesterday and I was really worried because he was back to where he couldn't get up without assistance and just hurt all over. Today he said he feels good besides his arms and his skin is feeling better already. Hopefully by Saturday he will be feeling and looking as good as new. So we are DEFINITELY going!!! :hyper:

This time next week we should be in FL!!!!!!

in exactly 7 days we will be at the airport getting ready for our flight. We have to be there super early so 5am it is. I am going to be very nervous too (for a few reasons) but i have never been through customs before or flown internationally. I have only gone across the border once since it has been strict & that was driving. I was very nervous then too but this will be worse.

I was nervous about the customs at the Winnipeg airport last year as well but found it to be less nerve wrecking and easier then when we drive down to Grand Forks. I just hope the customs in Toronto will be just as easy for us.

I think a rain jacket would have been too heavy in the humidity.

I wish there was a way to know what the weather will ultimately be like while we are there. Since there isn't, I've learned to go with the flow. I have never had a bad time in The World! Have a great trip!:yay:

I agree with you on the rain jacket.

For the forecast it will be comfortable in the morning bit with high humidity. Hot and humid by noon with an afternoon shower lasting anywhere for 30 minutes to a few hours. After the rain you can expect the heat and humidity to continue.

You lucky nurse!

BTW, I do the same thing every time I walk down Main Street the first time on our trips. People must think I'm nuts!

I wouldn't worry about it I think tears of joy are quite common on Main street. Now if you have tears of joy when you get your ME mail on your resort door the day before you leave then you need to worry.

Tell me about it we leave in a week and are staying for two. I think the two weeks at WDW will go faster then the next seven days.

Here I am with Minnie last year. It's a good thing Mickey was busy in the kitchen at Chef Mickey's or it could have gotten ugly.

Congrats on Ohana!
We have so many character meals scheduled its ridiculous and my kids are 17 and 23 lol. I just love the interaction and we have gotten so many great pics over the years. One year at Chef Mickey's my son had to run away from Mickey because he was jealous that Minnie was flirting with him. It was hysterical!

Diddo on Ohana. We are staying @ The Poly so still debating whether or not we want to try to snag a resie for Ohana. Maybe I will look just to see. The only thing is our travel agent booked our meals, can we still call in quick if we see one open up?

We too have a few character meals. 1900 Park Fare, H and V Playhouse Disney, Akershus and Chef Mickeys. I have been so excited about meeting the characters but I guess my siblings will be as well lol.

BTW, I do the same thing every time I walk down Main Street the first time on our trips. People must think I'm nuts!

Me and my mum would fit right in with you guys. I remember our last trip my mum crying on most rides our first day... just watching all of our reactions lol.

We have a home inspector coming later this week so have to clean up and organize first (I would rather pack). Think we will try to buy everything we need this week and then start packing on the weekend.

When she saw our pictures she asked if there was anyone you didn't propose to? I replied well yes there was Winnie the Pooh...but your daughter has something to tell you.

I have a very important question! Have you done the Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream? Will this be out of the question for my son and I to attempt by ourselves? There is not a chance we'll finish it, but it would be a fun memory, I think. A little surprise for him one night, Ice cream for dinner. :rotfl:

Please let me know what you guys think if you've done it.

My mom, brother, and I will be attempting in on our trip! It's going to be hard to finish but it looks DELICIOUS and fun!! :thumbsup2:hyper:

9 more days!

Did that last night! DH pulled out all our suitcases and I made "daily" piles for clothes. I used to pack all my clothes in my suitcase, DH in his and so on. So we would each have our own case. Then someone said what if your case gets lost???? WHAT?? that actually never occured to me. Me without clothes, not a site anyone (including myself) wants to see :scared1: So this trip I am packing by the day. All our AK clothes are together and such. I got everything in 2 cases plus our carryon and meds/personals bag. But since we need room for souveniers, we are checking 3 cases plus our meds bag and having 4 carryons (one each). Why is it the one time WE don't need to carry them anywhere is the time we have less??? (limo and ME) :confused3 Oh well, less for the kids to complain about them being too heavy, and no over limit weight issues.

We are at the Beach Club (and the wifi here is working great)!!! Our room is so nice AND we have a view of Spaceship Earth!

Had a great day so far. Went to DTD and has our first dismeat! We met Karin (aka dizneat) and her brother Tom. We went on the same cruise last year. It was great to meet them again!

Our ADR for Cape May is at 6:20 so we still have a while. Then it's off to MK!

:scared1: That is me sitting opened mouthed at the sheer brilliance of this plan!!!!!!!

I already planned to pack an outfit a day into a Ziploc bag. I'll just mix them in different suitcases!!! I am always worried we'll lose a piece of luggage. My dad travels all over the world for business. My brothers and sisters and I kill ourselves laughing everytime we see the pictures of him in several different Dishdashs' when he was in the Emirates because his luggage was lost. Picture Phil Donahue, with less hair, in a plain dress:lmao::rotfl2::lmao:
