HI~ I called 1-407-W-Disney and I asked to speak with guest relations...I was very friendly and explained that I had just visited disney and stayed at the Poly in two concierge rooms in November. I asked if there was anything they could do for a 5 nights stay at The Grand Floridian 08/10-15 (one gardenview room)...they looked over my reservation I made online and the CM applied a code she found..so instead of paying $3800.00 it dropped to $3300.00! This is for 2 adults, and 3 kiddies 9,7 and 6 with 5 day park hopper and dining. I am so thankful to her and I hope to pass this information to all of you..so hopefully you can benefit, as well! I'm really hoping that Disney is very generous and gives us something good. We're looking at possibly going towards the end of August if they come out with something good. Crossing our fingers!

me, dh,ds=12,dd=10,dd=8 will be there Aug. 20-29. We have our air line tickets reseved already, but are looking around to where we want to stay. All the Suites at Music are all sold out already for these dates. We want to be comfortable but really can't afford a villa. any suggestions to where we should stay??

What about the Bayou section at Port Orleans, Riverside?

Those rooms have the two full beds and a trundle under one. If your 12 year old isn't too tall, that might be an option.

Or, your 8 year old and DS shares with DH and you share with 10 year old

I don't know about early August. But, I have friends who went the last week of June this past year. They said never again and that it was more crowded than our spring break time (when they usually travel) with the heat added in.

we also have used the last week in August as our summer trip/last happiness before school begins again... is there any difference between the last week in August vs the end of June/earlier August? I felt last year was a bit more crowded than in the past

I went the last week of Aug'05 and the third week of June'07

I thought June was MUCH more crowded. In August we hardly had a wait for any ride, where as this past June we had to pick and choose our rides (It was our honeymoon, so we didn't exactly want to go commando)

Well I'm booked at PoP for 8/9 -8/23. Without a code. I've been calling and so far no code for me. But I decided to book anyway because I'm going to go no matter what, (I was just hoping to upgrade to a mod) and I'm worried with everyone else on the planet getting a code PoP would be booked up and it's definitely our fav value.

I'm also thinking that those of us who don't have a code might still have a shot. When I got my last pin code (Last summer) the same code was eventually offered to everyone. After the email and postcards, came the visa offer, then the APs and then the general public. SO I'm hoping that as long as I've got a room I'll be able to apply it. Crossing my fingers!

I was a big chicken too and didn't want to call either, but I did and sure enough I had a code next to my name. We're heading to Disney Aug 17th. If I didn't call, I would've booked on-line and never realized that I could have received a discount.

I have ASMu suite booked with AAA 8/14 to 8/28. I don't think I'll get any better.

I was just at Pop with my DS for his 7th birthday and I tried to book bounce back. It would have been the same 20% off but if I had changed it to the bounce back offer I could think about upgrading after I got home. I could have booked BC at 30% off but that would have been almost $100 more than what I already had. I am now happy that I stuck with ASMu suite as I think it will work better for us.
