I went to Disney 11/3-10 and had two concierge rooms at the Poly with my hubby and 3 kiddies. We are planning to go back in August and I just recently learned about the "bounceback" so I called Disney and they told me it was not offered at the deluxe properties last November. I am pretty unhappy considering the CM told me that is was only offered at the value/moderate resorts???? WHY???? I spent more money then I would care to speak about and I want to know why Disney wouldn't extend a bounceback to a family that stays in a deluxe resort?? I have received no promotions..no e-mails or postcards and I am annoyed.

We stayed at the Ploy during Christmas & there was a paper in our room for the bounceback, so it was available. I don't think you can book it now beings you have to do this during your stay. I think whoever you spoke might have been misinformed

The email is def. snazzy! It's a whole Toy Story themed email - due to Toy Story Mania showing the dates applicable and your pin code.

They are all different as I compared my # to my friends -pin codes that is.

Wow. From all indications, these pin code emails/postcards are fairly rare and incredibly random, yet your friend got one, too? That seems so un-rare and un-random! Can I be your friend?

The code was only good for Deluxe resorts and DVC rooms.

Just what I need for the BC! 40% off is, well, almost like half price! (Duh.)

I ended up booking a 2bedroom at SSR for $318 per night for 9 nights. My parents will be joining us and we'll split that cost!

That's a GREAT deal.
And how wonderful that your folks will be joining you! Mine haven't come with us for a few years, and we miss them every time. I'm trying hard to get them to agree to come down for a few days while we're there in August.

FYI- the email comes from vacations@registration.disneyworld.com so be sure to add that to your address book if you have a spam filter.

Funny. I get tons of emails from "@registration.disneyworld.com". And I keep them ALL, so I just checked all of them from the past three years, and none of them start with "vacations@". But thank you SO much. This is great info because now I know exactly what to look for.

Has anyone seen the code for a free waterpark & park hopper upgrade yet this year??? It was around this time last year that it came out & I was wondering if it's come out yet.

The bounceback offer is only good if you book it during your stay. You cannot book it once you are checked out and home. I don't know whether it was offered at Deluxe resorts or not in November, but I got the Poly at the bounceback rate when my sister was there the first week of December, so Im not sure if they changed it to include deluxes or if the CM was wrong. I'm sorry you mised out on the deal.

I remember reading about it in here somewhere.

when I called to verify my adress (I have moved 3 times in the last 2 years) I asked if there were any codes attached to my name, he offered my the free ticket upgrade- so not sure if it is public (but I could have sworn someone gave the XXX code from a newspaper ad)

I just checked on mousesavers and there are no general public codes out at this time. There are AP codes till 3/6 but they are for a room only discount not waterparks and hoppers. Check on the mousesaver website and keep an eye out for general public codes.

We have made the last week in Aug. our annual trip to Disney. THe last two years were completely magical. I am hoping for some type of discount for this year too.

we also have used the last week in August as our summer trip/last happiness before school begins again... is there any difference between the last week in August vs the end of June/earlier August? I felt last year was a bit more crowded than in the past

I just checked on mousesavers and there are no general public codes out at this time. There are AP codes till 3/6 but they are for a room only discount not waterparks and hoppers. Check on the mousesaver website and keep an eye out for general public codes.

I managed to book August 10-17 with the 40% code. While I'm a long time AP holder, I had to go the extra mile and call about this discount because it is the week I wanted and was afraid availability would be slim if I waited for the AP rates. Of course, by some miracle if free DDP is offered during this date (it was not last year), I certainly would try to rebook for the free DDP and give up the 40% discount. But I at least have a good rate for our 2 rooms at Pop for $49 a night per room.

I don't know about early August. But, I have friends who went the last week of June this past year. They said never again and that it was more crowded than our spring break time (when they usually travel) with the heat added in.

Just confirmed our reservations for Aug 19 - Aug 26th!! Talk to cm and asked about the codes and she checked no luck for me She said that they would be coming through mail and e-mail if you are going to get one. I let my brothers and parents know to keep an eye out for anything

Nothing in my email or mailbox, but I called anyway.

I did have the 20% code next to our name. It's not alot, but it save $550 off our reservations for 10 days.

SO moral of the story, call. If you are checking in AFTER August 10, call. Otherwise, you will need two reservations for any of the dates after August 10th and only you can decide if it is worth the hassel.
