Official AUGUST 2008 CODES to be posted here please!!:)

Can doing something as simple as requesting a planning DVD get you on a list to have codes sent to you?! explain!

Subscribing too - though I'm still such a newbie I can't even figure out how to put a ticker in my signature! :sad2:

Anyway, DH, DS and I are going the day after Thanksgiving for our first trip! DS will turn 5 just after we get back. I am SO excited!

I'm really tempted to go back in August. We would have to get new tickets and we would probably drive down and do tent-camping at Ft. Wilderness if we do this. If the free dining comes through, it's much more likely. So I just called to ask when they would announce if they're doing it, and I was told that probably won't be till June! Everything else I had heard indicated they announce this around April. Any ideas?

Also DS will be starting kindergarten next fall so I'd much rather do it in August than September. Guess we'll just keep our fingers crossed.

Since this sounds like it might make a difference in your plans, I just wanted to mention that I remembered seeing over on the "Camping at WDW" board that the Free DDP offer was not available this year for the people tent camping at FW, so you might want to check this out :guilty:

Here's from "search" that was posted last April by jmh: "The free dining promo can be used for the Ft. Wilderness cabins but the campsites are excluded".

And here's a link over to the Camping board in case you want to recheck with them :goodvibes :

I got 30% off Coronodo spring in August. It is not a public code, but someone gave it to me. It was for specific dates in August. It was just like the 40% off code last year, which I got last year too. After calling several times I found a Cm who applied it for our package. Good luck everyone!

Just wondering if anyone could tell me the dates that the non-public code was for? I am hoping they'll release general codes for those dates! Thanks!:goodvibes

Is your PM full yet? :rotfl2:

Congrats on the price break!!

My PM ARE filling up fast!!!!!:rotfl: The whole code thing drives me crazy. I don't get why Disney gives it to some and not to others. I think they give it to me because they know I won't give up and will keep calling (of course, in a nice way.)

I can't believe I'm subbing to this thread in NOVEMBER! I must be crazy, but hey, if it saves me a few pieces of eight, then I'm jumping in with both feet.

Those pieces of eight will add up to a few Mickey bars!
Save, save, save.

There are too many for me to list, but if you go to the Disney website, under the WDW section there is a place to look for special events and a calender. The yellow dates are the "wonderful weeks of Disney" Ever month has some except for June and July. The first two weeks of August are NOT included, the last three are and all of September. Does that help any?

When I was planning for August 2007 trip in 2006, I took into consideration the past year's for free dining. I booked Disney, air and wouldn't you know Disney had free dining starting the day we were leaving.

Planning for Aug 24-30 so hoping there will be a code or free dining at that time.

I have a hold till this Monday (then need to put deposit) with Disney TA. I'm looking to go week starting 8/17. Pop Century. Does anyone know if i would be able to get a better price if i went with AAA? I want hotel, with dining plan, and water option. TIA
Teree

In order to get a AAA discount on the room portion of a package, you need a AAA agent.
If you were just doing a room only, than you could use the AAA discount yourself without AAA.

There is an AAA agent on the DIS board, but can't remember who she is. Put a stand alone thread out there to look for her. You do NOT need to use your local office. Most of the offices really don't want to deal with the bookings.
