I remember her. She was an ugly duckling (glasses, bad hair and clothes) and very shy. I'll have to look up the storyline though. Seems like someone abused her in some way?

Found it:

Editor Ned Simon came to Oakdale from New York City looking for a new Amber D'Amour. Since the current author under that pen name was retiring. Ned needed a replacement and was pleasantly surprised when another one of his authors, Seth Snyder, showed Ned his mother's manuscript. Impressed, Ned went to the Snyder farm to solicit Emma to write romance novels for his company. Not seeing herself as a novelist, merely a farmwoman, Emma required a lot of handholding and Ned paid frequent visits to her farm in Luther's Corner. Ned and Emma formed an easy friendship that over the course of a few months blossomed. As their feelings turned romantic, Seth warned Emma that Ned was a married man. Ned admitted it but emphasized that it was in name only: he and his wife were together solely for the benefit of their mentally unbalanced daughter, Debbie. Emma understood and soon the pair became lovers.

Meanwhile Debbie, thanks to new medication, had been making a vast improvement and was finally released from the mental institution and sent home. Optimistic about Debbie's recovery, Ned decided the time was right to end his marriage. After asking Emma to marry him, Ned brought Debbie to the farm to meet the Snyders. Unfortunately, this would be a fatal mistake. At the farm, Debbie competed with Rosanna Cabot for the attentions of stablehand Hutch Hutchison which worried Ned. Unable to fully get Hutch's mind off Rosanna, Debbie fell prey to the charms of Linc Lafferty. Unfortunately, after seducing her, Linc discarded her. Devastated, Debbie had a relapse and was institutionalized again. Not long after, Linc was found dead from a gunshot wound and suspicion fell on Connor Walsh. Meanwhile, Ned seemed to be under stress and unexpectedly died of a cerebral hemorrhage. Immediately after, a letter was delivered to the Oakdale PD telling them that he had murdered Linc over Linc’s treatment of his daughter.

Wow,you're good,thanks! :thumbsup2

What is up with Carly....she is getting me mad about asking Lily to be her partner and take Craig out of the mix....after all it is his idea:mad: I dont like Craig well his past anyway....but Carley is being ridiculous and I hope it all blows up in her face.

I agree - I never lked Carly - she's just too sneaky for me. Surprisingly I am kinda of liking this new Craig. I didn't think I would.

The Murder Mystery - It affects Luke, Noah, Ali, Casey, Jade and Matt. Ali's torn between two guys, Jade wants Casey, but Casey is in jail. Luke and Noah start to figure out who the dealer could be.

I hope ATWT gets back on track. For the first time in YEARS I am liking GL more. We need a juicy story. from the above looks likes it getting more interesting.

ANY GL watchers? Phillip is back - the main reason I'm loving it again.

Casey, Luke and Noah think Matt is working with Elwood in the drug ring so they enlist Jade to buy drugs from Matt. Ali finds out and spoils their plans. Eventually, Luke and Noah go to Margo and learns that Casey was the last one with the drugs. When she searches Casey's things she finds drugs and money. Ali finds it hard to believe Casey is a dealer, but she takes Matt's side. Casey is arrested, but Luke and Noah won't give up trying to find the real bad guy. As they continue their search, things get more dangerous. People are threatened and there are attacks.

Next Friday is Elwood's last day.... I guessing he will be murdered.

After the sting operation fails against Matt and Casey is arrested, Holden and Lily make Luke promise to stay out of the situation. Luke promises to do so, but of course he does not.

Vienna and Henry are fighting about Henry getting a vasectomy when Katie faints.

Carly and Craig party a little too hard. Again?

The Katie infertility storyline is about to gag me. First, it would be fantastic if she could even pronounce "surrogate." :lmao: Everytime she says, "seer-uh-gut" I roll my eyes. It's not "seer" as in here, leer, beer, near, etc.

Second, could the writers talk to someone in the medical profession before they start making this crap up? If not a reproductive endocrinologist, a vet maybe? :rotfl2: A witch doctor even? :rotfl: No, it's Soap Opera Reproductive Technology 101. :sad2: Katie has an ectopic pregnancy and they're harvesting a crop of eggs two days later for an IVG surrogate cycle. At a bare minimum, she'd have to wait for her next monthly cycle for start meds to stimulate. You just don't end a pregnancy and toss out multiple eggs two days later, folks. Where did those eggs come from? The Easter bunny?

Then the doctor tells her "her eggs are bad." Well, she's relatively young and she just got pregnant. The only thing wrong with that pregnancy was WHERE the embryo ended up, not the embryo quality itself. The very fact that her egg fertilized indicates her eggs are probably quite nice indeed. Again, at a minimum, they'd probably want to actually ATTEMPT to fertilize them invitro to see how they do. And let me tell you, even some downright crappy eggs of older women can fertilize in a dish. It happens all the time.

For that matter, why does she even need a surrogate? She has tube issues, not uterus issues. Invitro bypasses the tubes. Lots of my friends had troublesome tubes removed and then did IVF, and walked away with lovely babies. Yes, something was said about scar tissue, but seriously.....Women with scar tissue have babies every day. Someone clearly doesn't grasp that with IVF, you go from ovaries to dish to uterus and need no tubes at all.

Now it seems they are headed down the road where Vienna MIGHT already be pregnant with Henry's child, but someone never realizes that when the "guest embryo" comes to stay. Cue to bring on the "whose baby is it" confusion. Puh-leeze. The first thing they do is pregnancy test you to death before they do anything else. They blood test you and ultrasound you and everything-else you. Plus, they will often try to match up the surrogate's cycle to the mother's cycle (assuming it was Katie's egg, as it was a week or so ago before her eggs went bad  ) so that the embryos can be transferred in a fresh state instead of having to be frozen. And the way you coordinate their cycles is to give them both drugs. Drugs that you do not give to a woman that MIGHT, MIGHT, MIGHT be pregnant. No way, no how would a doctor get within 10 feet of Vienna's privates until he was sure she was NOT preggers.

I swear a kid in 6th grade could write more plausible stuff than this. :headache: But then again, if Ashley on Y&R, who is 50 if she's a day AND has had her uterus removed, can get pregnant by a man who's had TWO vasectomies.....ANYTHING is possible.

yeah I was laughing at this story too but then again most all of the soaps are so far fetched. If it really bothered me I probably wouldn't watch. I just laugh instead.:)

Yeah.....Vienna will probably carry Henry's baby, but everyone will think it's Brad's. Katie and Brad will raise it and send it off to boarding school at 9 or 10. The kid will come back a year later as a studly high school junior or senior boy. He will wreak havoc on the town for a few years, disappear again to go to college for a year or maybe two, and return as a cutting edge doctor who writes best-selling novels in his spare time. Only when he finds the cure for cancer with a secret ingredient he won in a poker game in which he dazzled his opponents with his sexy wordplay and flair for period costume will the townsfolk realize he is actually the son of Henry and Vienna, since Brad is simply too dimwitted to have produced such a stunning son. :rotfl2:

Okay.....That and the fact that he was always the spitting image of Henry except for his Vienna-like coloring and charming exotic accent. Also, he could pronounce "surrogate" correctly. But who could have figured THAT out? :lmao:
