I like Jessica's nephew too. I'm glad he was the cop. Carly and Jack need to suck it up and get back together. I know, I know it doesn't make for good soap opera story but they are so good together.

I'm not looking forward to her and Damien, well I guess I'm looking forward to Jack beating the crap out of Damien.

The Jen story is so sad. I don't like the new Lucy. I don't want to see her with Dusty!

Don't know how many of you actually got to watch yesterday and today but I cried my eyes out. I have not done that (from a soap) in years! How about that video Jen made for Johhny? I could not stop crying. Today was the wedding. I can't believe they are killing her off. I know she quit but last I read they were trying to recast. Guess not now. I predict Friday will be the day.

I know what you mean. Tears have just been flowing all week when I watch. Although I like the way they have been putting the Simon/ Katie thing in between to keep things lightened up a bit. How long will Simon let Katie think the island is deserted? Any guesses?

Me too. I'm tired of the Luke story already - he's gay = who cares. I love Simon too. Boy will Katie be mad whne she finds out he knew they could get off earlier.

I hope Gwen gets to help raise Johnny. I still can't believe they are killing her off.

So, so sad. That article doesn't say what he died of though or if it did I missed that part. Hadn't he been out sick a while back?

Emmy-winning actor Benjamin Hendrickson died of a heart attack one month shy of his 56th birthday. Mr. Hendrickson won an Emmy for his portrayal of Hal Munson on the long-running soap opera "As the World Turns." Mr. Hendrickson played the character for nearly 20 years. Mr. Hendrickson played Hannibal Lector’s keeper Dr. Chilton in Michael Mann’s excellent "Manhunter." The film was later remade as "Red Dragon." "Regarding Henry," "Consenting Adults," "Russkies" and "The Guiding Light."

ETA: But, on people.com it does give his cause of death as suicide.
"According to the New York Post, police and cast members said Wednesday that Hendrickson shot himself in the head in an apparent suicide."

I thought he had battled cancer as well but didn't have time to research it yet. Wonder how they will handle it on the show? He was a great actor.

I just saw this as well. How sad. I loved how he played Hal. I would think they will have to have someone take over the role at least for a short while until they can create a storyline. I can't see them writing the character out so quickly, if that is what they are planning on doing.

I can't see anyone else being Hal. They recasted before and it just didn't work. I wonder what they will do. Yes a very sad week for ATWT. It's going to be weird watching him this week. He will be missed. I thought he was a great actor.

Just finished watching. Had it on Tivo. I haven't cried that much during a show in years. Heart wrenching. Especially when she told Paul to love himself. I just can't imagine how awful tomorrow will be.
