OFFICIAL April 2012 DISers! 2 months and counting!

Yes...I think even the 12 yr old and 2 -14 yr olds might get a kick out of it....they have been talking since we told them on the weekend....I didnt think the older ones would care about characters...it got me thinking.

I would ask the kids what type of characters they're interested for the meal.

If it's princesses, then we prefer Akershus (breakfast if you have picky eaters in the group) or 1900 park fare where the stepsisters' humor seem to resonate with teenagers as well as the little ones.

If they want the classic characters of Mickey and the gang, Chef Mickey is the only place where you could see the Fab Five in one seating. However, this place gets mixed reviews at best for its food and interactions. People tend to have better interactions and experiences at Cape May or Tusker House.

Lilo and Stitch are at Ohana character breakfast and they are usually accompanied by Mickey and I think Pluto. This place gets mostle positive reviews.

WDWmagic.com is reporting today that Snow White's Scary Adventure officially has a closing date and it's May 31st as part of the Fantasyland Expansion project.

I know this ride has not been the most popular one to say the least, but it's been a hit with my family and I was hoping that we would get one more shot at this for our April trip. :)

We werent even going to ride Snow White's scary adventure but now that it's shutting down we might have to. lol

I am sad that this ride will be closing. It wasnt the best ride, but it was a classic to me:sad1:. I am glad I will be there to ride it one last time in May!

agree! Not the most hi-tech ride at WDW but it was a classic! Our tradition as a family was to ride it and when the Witch is handing Snow White the rotten apple we yell to Snow "Don't eat the Apple!" It was the only way we could get our kids to ride it waaaaay back, and we still do it.

Snow White will never learn. :sad2:

Figmentswife, so sorry about your cat. I know how difficult it is to lose a pet.

Ikeifer, the reveals were cute. It's great that your dd's friend can join you on the trip.

I'm a mess with ADR planning right now. I'm having commitment issues. I just realized that it will cost $85 for my three kids (10, 6, and 3) to eat chicken nuggets and mac n cheese with the princesses at Akershus. That stings. And I really want to try Sanaa on our AK day. I'm hoping to see the animals while we dine but I don't want to leave the park until after closing and by that time it will be dark. Ugh, decisions.

Attagirl3...thank you

Thank you everyone for the suggestions...going to look them up.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and kind words. It means so much.

As for those of you deciding on character meals - don't forget about Garden Grove at the Swan. It's less then most other meals ($29.99 adults, and $13.99 kids - seafood night is $35.99 adults, $14.99 kids) and it is a GREAT character experience. We have done this and loved it, never crowded so you get a TON of time with character's. I think the kinda regular's are Timon, Pumba and Rafiki, but what character's show is not guaranteed. However it has always been these same ones when we go. I don't think they are on the dining plan, but if paying OOP it's a good deal.

63 days till Disney.

Thanks everyone. Disney planning made it easy while I was home yesterday. And Kathy, HAHAHAHA - Too funny.

Going to bed last night was hard, she slept with me every night and woke me up every morning. I am having a little bit of a hard time this morning with her not begging for food, but I know in a few days it will get easier. I feel kinda stupid for being so upset...But I loved my kitty.

Oh I am very sorry for your loss.. My beagle passed after being sick last Sept and sometimes I think I'll never make it .. However our 15 yr old cat has taken some of pain away by turning begger!!!:hug: to you and your family!

Its been 1 month since i was last in the World by myself for 9 nights. Just this morning I booked another 9 nights for my dad and I.( Maybe a reaction to the snow storm we had last night) Really looking forward to it. This is will be my first flower and garden festival.

Me too! I thought that when I was there in October it would be the last time. But with Thunder Mountain being closed I am glad Snow White will still be open. Always sad when the classics close. :(

6 weeks until we're there!!!

Is it crazy that I've started packing?
I've been working on my packing list, with help from the packing threads, for months. Today, I decided to make a list of the things that I need to buy. When I was looking at the list, I realized that there are a lot of things that I'll be packing, that I probably won't need to use between now and then. So, I've started my Disney box. :-)

36 days!!!!!

Our magical express tags came in today's mail!!!!!!:goodvibes

It's not crazy at all that you've started packing. We have had a Disney box sitting in the living room since just after Christmas b/c dd got some sport socks for xmas and we always like to take new socks so it was the perfect reason to start up the box. We have only thrown in a few things since but your more likely to remember everything if you take your time and toss a thing or two in here and there when you remember it.
Just the other day I threw in my pedometer b/c I was reading a trip report about forgetting theirs and I want to track our steps so I immediately went and threw ours into the box.

Plus it's great fun to know your packing for disney :) LOL
