I see you all have been planning for quite some time. I'm a late arrival to the thread, but just booked a quick trip for April 24th through April 28th. It will be DH, me and our Granddaughter. She will be 5 in May and we wanted to take her before she started actual school next fall. We are really excited to be taking her for her very first visit! We will be at Pop, which is the first value we've been to for many many years. I think she'll like it, though. It's good to have a thread to hang out with others who are excited about going in April. This is also the first time I've done a trip with such short notice. I love the months of anticipation and excitement building! So, hello everyone from snowy Ohio!

Catching up on the DIS here on Superbowl sunday! Anyone been to the Tusker House character lunch lately? I asked this on the Restaurant boards but wanted more opinions? Way too crazy? Stick with Dinner? We like the food there, been for lunch lots of times, but heard that now it is chaotic and cramped because it changed to Character lunch.

Hey, I've been wondering what to do and what to skip in Epcot Future World area and I see your name is figmentswife - does that mean you love the figment attraction and it's a DO NOT MISS thing to do???

We dont skip to much in future world.. in the past we've skipped some of invovations but they have added some new stuff since we've last been there so we'll go in this trip and we skip Mission space because of motion sickness issues, but other then that we do it all..

OMG I am under 60 days !!!! whoo... Mandatory Parent meeting is tomorrow and we should get the girls playing/time off schedule sp I can start making my park plans!! I am hoping to do the dessert party (i'll be a table of 1) on Easter night (depending on the schedule) I am soo excited!!

WOW! I thought I was excited! You have me beat girl! LOL - Keep an eye out for my PTR update tonight. I will be posting photos of all the cool disney-esque things I have prepared for our trip!

We're 7 days from our pay-off date and DH is still stressing out about airfare. It's going to cost us $2k to fly. It's cheaper to add on two more days of room-only and fly home on Monday than it is to fly home on Saturday.

Except he's still stressing about how much it's going to cost.

I just suggested we drop the deluxe dining upgrade (we got free dining) because then we'd save like $1100 between the upgrade and the increased tips, and that would make a huge difference. Except HE is the one who wanted the deluxe dining, and I think he's going to balk at getting rid of it.

Well, we either have to spend the money, or something's gotta go! He didn't want to drive, he doesn't want to drop the deluxe dining - then you'll just have to suck it up and pay the money!

I am not going to even be excited about this trip until it's paid off and transportation is settled, and I feel like that is never going to happen!

First - Yes, I LOVE Figment. But it is not the ride itself, it is Figment that I love. He is what I remember falling in love with as a child at my first trip. My favorite color was/is purple, and I just loved him, and the idea of going with your imagination.

So, Yes you must go to it, but know that it is not a major attraction, and don't except to much....Fall in love with the idea of your imagination and being a kid.

Also, All of Epcot is awesome, and you will not do everything in 1 day, or even close. Test track is a must do for us, however, it will be closed when we are there. I don't do heights, but Soarin is a BIG ride that everyone seems to love (I am just too chicken) Epcot is a much more relaxed park, you can go slower and take in everything around you. Walk around the World Showcase - in each country you will feel like you are really in that country.

Oh, another must do for us is The Seas with Nemo and friends. I also love dolphins, and there are some there, and Turtle Talk with Crush - with or without kids, this is FUNNY......Dude!!!!!

So many great things to do, I can't think of them all right now.

Good Luck, we are driving, but I looked into flying and it was WAY cheaper to fly on Wed, and Sunday.

I say to do this: Drop Deluxe Dining AND stay 2 more days!!!!!
