We just booked our trip! DH and I. April 21 - 27. 6 nights/7 days at Coronado Springs!! I am so excited!

We will be staying at Coronado Spring

We'll be there the same time - except we're leaving on the 27th. Congrats on your Disney honeymoon!

We're 7 days from our pay-off date and DH is still stressing out about airfare. It's going to cost us $2k to fly. It's cheaper to add on two more days of room-only and fly home on Monday than it is to fly home on Saturday.

Except he's still stressing about how much it's going to cost.

I just suggested we drop the deluxe dining upgrade (we got free dining) because then we'd save like $1100 between the upgrade and the increased tips, and that would make a huge difference. Except HE is the one who wanted the deluxe dining, and I think he's going to balk at getting rid of it.

Well, we either have to spend the money, or something's gotta go! He didn't want to drive, he doesn't want to drop the deluxe dining - then you'll just have to suck it up and pay the money!

I am not going to even be excited about this trip until it's paid off and transportation is settled, and I feel like that is never going to happen!

That stinks!! I would probably drop the DxDP, too...but understand that since your DH wants it, he'd want to keep it. My DH doesn't have much input in the trip ~ says just do whatever ~ so when he makes a suggestion I try to do it.

That's ok, cause when you get back you will have to see that we are all still counting to get there - while you are sitting in your bed wishing you were back to right before your trip.

And can you keep a secret...I've already started packing Yes, I've got a problem, lol! Not too much, just a few shirts and shorts/skirts for the girls that I know they won't need before the trip. I'm just so excited

that's ok - your not alone!! I left a box sitting out after Christmas b/c dd got new sport socks and we ALWAYS get sport socks for a trip to Florida b/c there is no better feeling than nice new socks on sore feet so we started our box up right then so the new socks wouldn't get used. I think it's fun to have it out to throw things into ocassionally - other than socks though - no clothes for us yet.

We dont skip to much in future world.. in the past we've skipped some of invovations but they have added some new stuff since we've last been there so we'll go in this trip and we skip Mission space because of motion sickness issues, but other then that we do it all..

OMG I am under 60 days !!!! whoo... Mandatory Parent meeting is tomorrow and we should get the girls playing/time off schedule sp I can start making my park plans!! I am hoping to do the dessert party (i'll be a table of 1) on Easter night (depending on the schedule) I am soo excited!!

Hmm, i posted somewhere that i was thinking of NOT doing MS bc Soarin made me sick (i can take all sorts of coasters but for some reason this one makes me sick??? and a few ppl said to do it I would be fine but now that you mention motion sickness I'm wondering again

i hope you get it figured out. I agree that it would make more sense to drop the DX dining but we are not big eaters and that would be WAAAYYY too much food for us so it just wouldn't make sense for us to do it. I do like snacks and frozen drinks in the cold parks and we wanted to be onsite at Universal so I am doing babysitting in the evenings for people as well as helping my daughter with a flyer route so we can splurge on some things. Maybe you could figure out a way to bring in a little extra on the side til you go to help cover the costs a bit??

First - Yes, I LOVE Figment. But it is not the ride itself, it is Figment that I love. He is what I remember falling in love with as a child at my first trip. My favorite color was/is purple, and I just loved him, and the idea of going with your imagination.

So, Yes you must go to it, but know that it is not a major attraction, and don't except to much....Fall in love with the idea of your imagination and being a kid.

Also, All of Epcot is awesome, and you will not do everything in 1 day, or even close. Test track is a must do for us, however, it will be closed when we are there. I don't do heights, but Soarin is a BIG ride that everyone seems to love (I am just too chicken) Epcot is a much more relaxed park, you can go slower and take in everything around you. Walk around the World Showcase - in each country you will feel like you are really in that country.

Oh, another must do for us is The Seas with Nemo and friends. I also love dolphins, and there are some there, and Turtle Talk with Crush - with or without kids, this is FUNNY......Dude!!!!!

So many great things to do, I can't think of them all right now.

Well, we have done it all before but it's been awhile and last time we focused mostly on rides and missed alot of the displays. This time since TT is closed and we won't be trying to do Soarin more than once (it made me nauseus last time) we wanted to enjoy the other things a bit more so i was trying to educate myself on all that's available in the buildings we didn't hit last time. We will probably skip Crush b/c while it is ADORABLE and FUN we will pass it up with our 14y/o. We were gonna skip Nemo too and just do the aquariums inside there but dd told me yesterday she wants to do Nemo. lol. ugh - not sure how we are going to fit everything in!!!!!! Oh well, we'll figure it out. We had only planned on one day there - a really LONG day but we do have some spots that we can squeeze in some extra time so we will most likely plan for that.

Sooo?? 2 extra nights plus the Delux dining is sticking still??? Well, at least you'll be getting it all paid off ahead of time so that'll be nice

What we ended up doing was dropping our tickets down to the 2 day base tickets that are required with the free dining, knocking about $600 off the package. We'll upgrade the tix when we get there, which gives us another month to worry about that. We were then able to deal with the $528 or whatever it was to add the two more days, which then dropped the price of flights down by like a thousand dollars (flying home on Monday was sooooo much cheaper.)

We'll have to pay OOP for food on Sunday, but after 7 days of deluxe dining, I think we'll survive.

Thanks! (And I hate it, too, and so does DH, which is why we have spent weeks trying to actually make a decision.)

Spirit also dropped the price of our return flight $90 today, so we're saving $360 on the flights that we're booking this afternoon, so things are definitely going our way, finally.

Just wanted to update our plans for the list on the first page. We are still at Sheraton Vistana Villages from 4/22-4/29 but we'll be at the Beach Club (club level) from 4/19-4/22!!

I can't wait!!! Only 70 more days!

This week I booked our reservations at Wyndham Bonnet Creek. We'll be there from 4/21 - 4/27 in a 2 bedroom presidential unit. We always stay on Disney property so this is a first for us - except it pretty much is Disney property but you KWIM. I haven't told the kids yet. I thought about surprising them but now I think I'm going to tell them a couple of weeks before we arrive. I want my DD6 to check out some of the rides on youtube so she can decide if she wants to give them a try this year. I figure that's better than having her say "I like dinosaurs, let's try that one" and then .

The youtube idea comes from a lesson learned the hard way. Because my kids are younger I didn't pay much attention to the scarier rides on our visit in 2010. However, while we were discussing Dinosaur with my DH's cousin we found out that his 6yo son's favorite ride is Dinosaur. So my oldest (8 at the time) decided to try it. She and I went on it together and I loved it. I liked seeing which dinosaurs came from which eras. I was so into it that I didn't realize she was freaking out until the most intense part. She was hysterical by the end of the ride. She didn't want DH to go on it after that because she was afraid that he "wouldn't make it back." I took my name out of the running for mother of the year after that.

And we booked our flights tonight. The only thing that makes me sad is we're landing at 10:15pm, so we have to get our own luggage. (Aren't we spoiled?!)
