Well, back in the real world and all I can say is "WHEN AM I GOING BACK TO DISNEY WORLD?!?!!" Had a great stay at the Poly. It really is true when they say it is a vacation within a vacation. Everything was clean, room was huge, CM's were AMAZING, food was ok, some good, some bad.....rides were tons of fun, shopping was out of this world, flights were good. All in all a success for this family!!!!!

Will be doing a trip report very soon, cause I have to relive the magic all over again!!! Planning another trip hopefully with my DH, son and DD this time. We can't afford to stay at a monorail resort, but we have heard wonderful things about Pop Century, so I am heading over to their thread now to get some info!

I am starting to pack (trip in 6 days) and I am OVERWHELMED! I get really stressed when packing! I have to pack for both girls and myself and everything that we ALL need. My husband just packs his clothes and loads up the SUV. I hope this stress subsides!

You can stay at Bay Lake Tower ( a monorail resort) by renting dvc points. Make sure you check out Dave's dvc rentals when you book. He can help you out! I found out that I could have booked AKL Villa for 100.00 more than all star sports a week ago but being so close to my vacation I didn't want to mess with my ressie. Next time though!

Just google Dave's DVC Rentals a d there is a points calculator for when you want to go and how many points each resort would cost for the length of your stay. He has great reviews and he will book your stay and even put a package together for you if you want him to. He is DIS recommended. I'm definitely using him next time.

Absolutely!! We will be at the pool the first night for sure. Downtown Disney until around 7pm then back to the hotel to swim Remember my girls will be in the purple and black bathing suits. lol

Don't stress! You'll get there... (not that I'm one to talk, I stress about it too) I love to make lists and cross things off-makes me feel like I'm really accomplishing things! Then when I see everything I've gotten finished I feel better... (sometimes I write down things I've already done just so I can cross them off... ) I pack for everyone, including DH. I am a bit of a control freak and if I let him do his own he would wait til the night before we leave-and that would stress me out! I made a good dent in it today, which I needed to do because I have a jam packed week coming up and I won't have much time.

Hi all!! We spet te day at the resort today. Wandered around, checked out Kidani and took a couple of tours there. Took probably a billion pictures on the savanna, relaxed in the room, and then had dinner at Boma. It felt very vacation-y and I am so happy right now!!

Also, DBF really got into the food mood, and we booked 2 more ADRs for during the week: Crystal Palace and Chefs de France!! Lol!! I was shocked there were spots still available!

But, we're checked in to bldg 32 of Trinidad North of the Caribbean Beach. Woo Hoo!

Thanks!! Now just back to the real world...I did laundry 2 days while I was there and I still have 6 loads to get caught up on, ugh!!

Any plans to go back? We don't ~ boo!! Right now the plan is in 2 years; not sure what time of year, though. I keep telling myself that it will be great b/c that will be time for all of the Fantasyland expansion to open up and get all the kinks worked out and plenty of time for me to figure out a new plan...but I dont' want to wait that long.

Can't believe at this time tomorrow I wil be in WDW!! So excited but sad at the same time. Nice to be able to spend some time with my DH for our anniversary but I have never been away from my kids this long. It will just make me appreciate them more I guess. DH and I made a vow the day we were married that we would always every year take one vacation together alone and one with the kids so our marriage always seems fresh. Love him!

That is awesome and he has a GREAT point!

Finally getting a chance to post to say we're here safe and sound! Riverside is nice but really confusing in its layout! It took us forever to find our building this afternoon. We had a bit of rain this afternoon but it cleared up just fine and we went to Dtd this evening for a bit. Tomorrow it's Epcot and mk for the wishes dessert party! I'll try to check in once we get back to the resort, loving this wifi here!!

Hello from AKL!! Can I just say that this resort is everything I had hoped!! And we haven't even explored much!! It's absolutely gorgeous! We went to Jiko last night, and it was amazing. Easily (so far) one of my favorite restaurants.

While on our flight, which was probably the most turbulance I've ever experienced, I realized I forgot to put our ME tag on our bag!!! Ugh, oh well, it only detoured us a little bit.

It rained when we first got here, but nothing I couldn't handle. It had stopped by the time we were in our room! Today, the storm clouds are still around, but not too menacing. We were exhausted last night, and passed out pretty early. Hmm...or maybe it was the wine at Jiko...

Gotta go. I see sun on the balcony.

OMG I packed back up last night - adding my dress up clothes for the Work Conf to my suitcases in addition to all my park ware.. I am done except for toiletries.. now my Hubs on the other hand -- I had to twist his arm to get anything in his suitcase.. I wanted to throttle him.. but figured he is a grown up and if he forgets something not my fault.. (i'm sure i'll end up doing it for him on Fri night because I won't be able to stand it. LOL)
I did on line check in for my package portion of the trip (5/2- 5/6) have to wait to thursday to do the one night stay ..
it's only Monday and already I'm thinking how much time I don't have .. LOL oh well back to work - lunch break is over.. see you tomorrow!

We are rope drop people. I LOVE being able to go all over the parks for the first 2 hours without tons of people. Plus we go to bed early

You Can start planning your next trip, even without the dates. Think about all that you didn't get to do, or want to make sure you do again.

Yes, he is grown, however I don't even let my DH pack b\c if I did he would pack right as we were walking out the door. So it is easier for me to just do it myself.

UGGGG - this was the longest work day, and I only work 4 hours everyday - It went on FOREVER. I hope the rest of the week doesn't drag like this.
