someone ( it may have been on another thread since I couldn't find it here) said they did get them for last Sept..they were talking about how great their travel agent was cause they were able to get them AP rates when there were only a few and mentioned that time ..I believe some one else said they were actually only "out" for a day or two. so from that I would say check, check and recheck.

Actually they were out for about an hour in early August for the late August/September timeframe. A travel agent was able to get them online or through a special phone #. Most people who started calling when it was posted they were out did not get them on the regular phone #'s. They pulled them saying it was a "system problem" and they never came out again. The strange thing is September is one of the least crowded times of the year and people returning posted that the resorts & parks were not crowded. So why no AP rates to try to fill the resorts?

Yep, my travel agent got AP rates for her already booked clients in Sept. I think she said they were only out for an hour or two when Disney pulled them from the system. I know they have some special status with Disney, and a different way to get into the system then we do.

Someone posted that they got an e-mail discount for WL or AK but standard rooms at WL for the first week of Feb. wasn't available. Do you think with all the post cards that if AP's come out for Jan. the standard price range will already be filled?

My spouse and I will be running the Marathon on 1/11/03. We have had reservations at Rack rate for POR since March. I called re: AP rates just yesterday and was told they hope they will be released on 12/4 - maybe that was pulled out of her hat but I will call back then just in case.

Hi this is the stupidest question in the world...ok here goes....what is an AP rate....I got a postcard from disney that said luxury rooms for 99 dollars and then some code.........I think it was bbc or something.......I lost it...........so what is the ap code??/ thanks we are going the last week in january

AP = Annual Pass

AP rate = room discounts that are sometimes offered to ap holders... usually around 40% off rack rates and it can possibly be worth your while to purchase an annual pass just for the room discount (only one member of your party need to have an annual pass to get the room discount)

postcards = special promotional offers from WDW. Not everyone gets them, usually they are offered for resorts that WDW wants to fill (ie. AKL). Postcards will come with a special letter code you must give when booking the room.

I know this is a long thread but it may be worth your while to read it through as there is a lot of info on ap rates.

thanks for the answer I would be worth it to get the pass as we go at least twice a year....I got a postcard and now I cannot find it....I thought it said bbc but i can't be sure ..if you call they tell you what it is?????thanks again for the help
