PLEASE REMEMBER!!! You can not use someone else post card rate their is a pin number attached to it. People have been charge FULL rack rate at check in after trying to use aopostcard rate that was not addressed to them,

I was wondering about that since the pc my sil got was addressed to *him* not *resident* or what ever and had a number code above his name and said not transferable...they covered so many bases I figured there had to be a reason!...that would be a rotten way to start a trip or maybe end it depending on how much money you had left to spend

A word of caution on the postcards:
They will request that you have the postcard on check-in, or, on confirmation, provide the PIN. If you do not have the postcard or provide the PIN you will be charged full rack rate. The postcards are non-transferable.

There is no way I would use the code without a postcard.

I have been reading about "post cards" and the PIN numbers. Would someone enlighten this newbie to what these are and how you can get them?

Welcome, and never fear...you won't be a newbie long!

A postcard is a postcard mail that WDW sends out to misc people in mass mailings to undetermined people! These cards have special codes on them that only the addressee can use to get a special discounted room for a certain specified time period!

A pin # is a code that you can use to get discounts on rooms as well. There are all different kinds of ones. You can check at
www.mousesavers.com for an updated list of codes.

I'm beginning to lose grasp of the hope that they'll ever come out though. We were unfortunate in late August when the AP codes never came out and I'm starting to get the same sinking feeling. We'll downgrade our resort if they don't come out, but I REALLY don't want to. I keep hearing the date Dec. 5 from everyone, but if that date passes with no such luck, I think that my family will have to make alternate plans.

My fingers, toes and eyes are crossed!

I was told this morning that the CM was told in last weeks briefing that they would before the end of next week.

Not Yet, Tuesday, December 2nd at 7:10. Had to wait this morning so I was hoping ...

CM said she had already gotten 3 calls regarding this.

CM also said they are not sure whether or not AP rates will be coming out at all and if they do, they CM's get no warning.

At least they were honest.

Marriot World Center 2 nights and the Swan for N.Y.Eve and then on Jan. 1 we will be moving to WL. However we are considering cutting our on property stay short and if AP rates don't come out will more than likely cancel some nights. I was talking to an CM last week when making our PS and she said that she notice than an e-mail had been returned and she then saw that they had typed in******* @yahoo.comm. I can't help but wonder if maybe I had been sent an postcard by e-mail.
