I hope either Ramiele or Jason go home. I can't stand either of them.

I liked Michael Johns, David Cook and Carly. I think if Syesha hadnt of mixed up that song it would of been better.

I like DC more. MJ is okay...especially if I don't look at him. I just don't like watching him.

Ok, I'm going through all the posts from last night and I'm just going to say "Yeah, what Bee said" for most of her posts. I'll let you know if I ever don't agree with her on AI. :rotfl:

It's definitely time for Ramiele or KLC to go home. I wish Ramiele would have stayed as strong as she did in the early stages of the competition. It seems she peaked too early.

I also find Syesha forgetable week after week, but I think she needs to hang in there longer than some of the other contestants.

I want to be helpful. :)

For those that don't want to scoll through all the pages...here is a rundown of tonight's thread....

Chatting DURING American Idol started on page 164
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1765887&page=164

The AFTER the show talk about the Idols started on page 181
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1765887&page=181

The chatting from pages 181 to 195 was mostly about tonight's Idol show. With a few off topic things off and on. There was also a lot of talk about country music (because of tonight's Idol theme.) There was some discussion of what it would be like if there was a "rap" week on Idol. A discussion about past Idol contestants happened on a few pages as well.

Even during the off-topic and past Idol chatting...comments about this season came up a lot.

The MOST off topic chatting took place around page 196 to 200. So skip over those if you don't want to read about random stuff.

Goodnight All!
I just wanted to say thank you for doing this. I had been trying to catch up with the thread but then started to flip through quickly. I don't mind that you insomniacs chat on the thread at night--seriously do you people NOT sleep?:rotfl2: --but it was great to have a guideline where the rest of us could come back in.
Well, hopefully, dialidol is correct again this week.
That would be the correct bottom three IMO. I also like that they seem now to be able to make a larger number of predictions about who's safe. For many weeks there was one person safe (usually David A.) and then all the rest were in danger of being voted off.

Got this off another board. :sad1: :sad1:

I hope he's ok. Just to think he was going through all that and still pulled off such a great performance. I adore that man!!

TMZ has learned what probably triggered the medical emergency with
David Cook tonight.

As we first reported, Cook was taken to the hospital after his heart
began palpitating and his blood pressure rose. We're told Cook, who
has high blood pressure to begin with, has been under tremendous
stress because his brother has been ill. We're told David's brother,
who has cancer, suffered a setback within the last week, and it has
really put David on the ropes.

David has been completely stressed out during the entire season.
During one of the first shows, David broke down and said he couldn't
perform that night -- and changed his mind at the last minute.

We're told earlier tonight, David began complaining that he did not
feel well. After the performance, Cook reassured people he was OK --
but ultimately realized he needed medical help.

Story developing ...

I heard this on the radio this morning. I hope he is OK and gets through this. It has got to be so hard having a brother that sick. Maybe they can let him go home for a bit to see him.

Not sure if this has been reported, but Elliot Yamin's Mom passed away on Monday.. :(

http://tvwatch.people.com/2008/04/01/elliott-yamins-mom-dies-at-age-65/

I remember her in the audience that year and she was so sweet with her son. My heart goes out to Elliot...

Jill

That is sad.

OM... how horrible. Is it true? TMZ always has me wondering...

I'm guessing since it is now on the radio too that it must be true. I would hope they would check the story out before airing it.

[David Archuleta – Smokey Mountain Memories – Gotta say, that's the best performance he's given since "Imagine". But what's with the "christian pop" kinda sound he's got goin'? I liked his singing, but could do without that vibe.
I thought I read somewhere that he is a Mormon? :confused3

I agree. Thanks Bee!!! :goodvibes

So sad about Elliott's mom & also about David Cook's brother. :guilty:

I thought I read somewhere that he is a Mormon? :confused3
I just saw a segment on Good Morning America about David A. & they said he is a Mormon.

My least favorite of the night - once again, Ramiele.

My favorite - David Cook

Yes, she has the BEST critique EVER!! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

reminds me the Adam Sandler movie water boy and his mom alys saying...."ITS THE DEVIL"

Off-topic (sorry folks)...

In our house, we render Kathy Bates' line as:

"Foosball is The DEBBIL."

I LOVE Waterboy, one of the funniest movies *ever*.

Back on-topic...
I hope David C.'s DBro is doing better and that he is ok as well.
Here's another vote for that kid's eye review for this week's performances, please :woohoo: .

agnes!

Top 9 – The Songs of Dolly Parton

Precursor: I am not a country fan but I LOOOOOVE Dolly!!! She sooo reminds me of my sweet oldest sister who is about as COUNTRY as an African American woman can be!! I bet butter melts in her mouth too...

Brooke White – Jolene – I really love Brooke, but she definitely did not relate to this song. It is truly a sad song, a woman who is self deprecating herself to a rival... man, I can't imagine any woman saying those words!! Simon did a dummy by commenting on the band... what the H was he talking about??? As for Randy and Paula, we NEVER KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT!! :confused3

David Cook – Little Sparrow – I love this song and I loved his rendition of it. In hindsight I did notice that he didn't look well last night but like the pro he is, he did an excellent job. I hope he's okay now, last week had to be rough on him, the good always comes with the bad. DC, you are STILL my boyfriend! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Ramielle Malubay – Do I Ever Cross Your Mind – This girl really has a great tone to her voice, but she just doesn't do ANYTHING for me. It's time for her to go...

Jason Castro – Travelin’ Through – I liked this... like Dolly said "he's kind of funky looking, just kinda cool, so it was a naturally perfect little piece for him..." PERFECT description of my sweetie Jason. He is so coffee house but that's just HIM. Loved his rendition of Travelin' Thru and also LOVED hearing Jesus's name mentioned on AI!!
pray2.gif

Carly Smithson – Here You Come Again – Her voice is beautiful but for some reason she didn't get to me last night. It was much better than what the Simon said, though. And I hated Simon's critique of her clothing but I think she does need to get to work on that....I keep thinking of that orange maternity top. :scared1:

David Archuleta - Smokey Mountain– I cannot genuinely critique this guy. He just turns my stomach. There is something so pageanty about him, so fake, so contrived, as Simon says after a snipe...SORRY!
headpat.gif

Kristy Lee Cook – Coat of Many Colors – This was actually a song I liked by ol' Kristy!! It fit her, she didn't countrify it because it already was. It was appropriate this time and fit her well. :cloud9:

Syesha Mercado -- I Will Always Love You – I wish Syesha would stop painting a target on her back by singing Whitney. Why doesn't her MOM, the professional, take her to the side and tell her???? The beginning worked, then she morphed into Bobby Brown's ex... and it fell apart. I really wanted her to do it but it fell short for me.. SORRY!
simon-2.gif

Michael Johns – It’s All Wrong But It’s All Right?? – oKAY... I'm not biased....but I think I have to take a pregnancy test after that perfomance...
smokin.gif

Oh yeah and ....

Could I USE you for awhile? Just tell me sexy love lies.. it's all wrong but it's alright....

My Thoughts

Top of the Heap

Michael Johns -- duh
Jason Castro
David Cook

Bottom of the Barrel
Kristy Lee Cook duh
Ramiele Malubay huh duh duh

Going home: I can only hope... Ramiele.

I had to come check in here this morning. DH came upstairs this morning and advised me that I need to find out what was wrong with one of my idol crushes as he had been taken to the hospital last night. :scared1: I do hope David is okay and I feel bad for his dealing with all that stress.

Told you I was a rap guy first

Them baggy sweat pants
And the Reeboks with the straps
She turned around and gave that big booty a smack
She hit the flo
Next thing you know
Shawty got low low low low low low low low
:rotfl: SC boy Dan quoting this song is cracking me up!!

Off-topic (sorry folks)...

In our house, we render Kathy Bates' line as:

"Foosball is The DEBBIL."
that's what it sounds like in our house!

Robin: I love your new signature line and the cat clip are was hilarious.

My BF is :surfweb: about my OBSESSION and my son is  of it... this morning he reminded me WHICH Michael John came FIRST!! :lmao: uhhhh that was after my remark about "did you HEAR my baby singing last night??"
I had to laugh at this because something very similar happened to me last night. (Not about Michael Johns of course. ;) ) My oldest son is 18 and usually gets completely ticked off when I tell him he'll always be my baby. I usually get one of these  Well, I was watching the Yankees' opener last night and my favorite young player, Melky Cabrera had a big night making two fantastic defensive plays and hitting a home run to boot! I was really excited and screamed out, "Yeah! That's my baby!" DS gets this sad look on his face and says to me, "But I thought I was your baby." :rotfl:
