It's all a matter of personal taste. To me, most country music is NOT good music. And rap is worse...haha.

I like rap. Just not gangsta rap. I don't need to hear about you "capping yo mama" or "raping yo ********". Liberally awash in expletives to go along with it... Not my cup of anything.

And they wonder why youth are so violent; especially those of African-American descent. It's listening to this crap that influences them. :sad2:

Those are two separate questions. They have been correct all year, and typically are correct. However, note that they aren't predicting who will go home, not even this week. Rather, they're designating a set of singers who will not go home this week, and another set of singers from whom the bottom three will be.

Thanks for clarifying.

I read that "breaking news" very late last night on TMZ but didn't know if it was true until this morning. I had read, very early on, that DC's older brother has brain cancer and that he had been diagnosed many years ago. Then, during the semis, from what was written, he kind of took a turn for the worse.

If it's true, (that it is brain cancer) how heartbreaking. I bet DC is so conflicted - on the verge of some very great things happening to him professionally while some extremely bad things are happening personally. If you ever look at his eyes when he gets his really great reviews from Simon, he always looks like he is misting up. I hope he takes that orange bracelet to heart. (the one he wears for the little girl with leukemia) I think it says something like, do what you gotta do. If (and this is only my speculation) he had to leave the show early, I think he has made it far enough to get a recording deal.

I lost three aunts, My Mom, my cat and my best friend to cancer in the past 5 years..... I cannot even talk about it anymore.

My favorite aunt still has colon cancer but she beat it.

I now sell mastectomy bras on eBay and have so many cancer victims as customers. They all have amazing stories. I consider it a testimony to my mother...

God bless David and his family. Cancer ... stinx...

How about a hair metal week? :rotfl2:

Or prog rock week. Try to cut those 22 minute songs into 90 seconds. :lmao:

Hair metal week could work.

They'd need a new band that could handle the music. [broken record]This band sucketh. [/broken record]

DC - Good I liked it but its not the Billie Jean he sang last week. Byt he slowly becoming my favorite...slowly I said/QUOTE]

ooh, come to the dark side :darth: I predict that in the future, you will be buying DC cd's and going to his concerts :cool1:

I'm still holding out hope that KLC will be the "shocker" elimination. Who would've thought she would leave on Dolly Parton week plus she was quite snarky again in her comments to Simon./QUOTE]

You read my mind. This is exactly what I am hoping for.

OT:

These darn Little Debbie Zebra Cakes are gonna make me huge. I love them. I watch biggest loser and eat a box with a bunch of milk. I cant figure out why I am over 200 LBS...weird

My weakness for Little Debbie are the strawberry shortcake and the devil's food cake rolls.

Mmmmm......junk food....

I LOVE that song! Been a while since I have listened to it though. Off to do that!!

Hair metal was at it's peak when I was in college and I was going to concerts as often as Mandy does. I love ALL that stuff. Def Leppard remains my favorite band (seeing THEM in just 25 days! :yay: :yay: )

LUCKY YOU.

<--is jealous

My kid... part 3 of the world's CORNIEST AA family... only listens to gospel music. Yes, he gets picked on about it but he's the biggest kid in his school so no one talks back to him!! :lmao:

Does anyone else get peeved that we have to wait until Thursday to buy the songs off of itunes?!

Exactly! I don't know if it's because I'm getting old or what. But I rarely listen to the radio or anything anymore. (Although I do love the 80's weekend on a station out here.) If you don't mind me asking...what year did you graduate high school?

1988

I still listen to modern music but don't keep up with the top 40 charts as they don't air those on the radio stations here anymore.

One station does their local version of the top 30 and also the top 8 at 8 every night.

after tha do Soulja Boy "crank dat"

My kids had to learn that dance in PE......its funny to see 2 goofy white kids try and do that dance...they love doing it....I like the beat to that song but its very annoying....he repeats over and over

My niece had that as a ringtone on her phone. Dunno if it's still there or if it got upstaged by something newer...

That is so sad.
Cancer is the worst. My Dad died from cancer a month after DH and I got married.
For a lot of years I could not deal. but now I work in the Cancer Center at our hospital in the lung cancer program and some weeks it is really tough, but for the most part I find it very rewarding.

Brain cancer is scary. I hope that things turn around for Davids brother.

 I know all too well what those bras look like. My mom has a dozen of them and the special bathing suits. Cancer does indeed stink.

::yes:: It's very annoying.

My son had a video of him "doing" the Soulja Boy on YouTube until it got taken down a few weeks ago... it was HYSTERICAL. :rotfl2: I didn't even know he KNEW that song!! :scared1:

He told me later that he did it because they BET he didn't know it. But he DID!! Don't take a dare folks, it WILL be up on YouTube!! :dancer:
