Any rumors yet on next weeks theme? I know it is early but.......

The only rumour I have heard is Y2k songs. That is, songs released since 2000.

Constantine: His voice gets better each week, but his antics get cornier and cornier. LOL What was with the Gene Simmons tongue the other night?? LOL Also, while he did a decent job with the Queen song, no one ever will be able to sing it like Freddie Mercury!

Personally, I love the theatrics Constantine puts into his performances.

WOO HOO!!! Way to go Constantine!!!!!!

I said Constantine did a decent job of it, and honestly that's the best I'd say about ANYONE other than Freddie, who'd attempt that song. lol I don't dislike Constantine at all and in fact his voice gets better and better each week...I just think some of his "moves" are silly, out of place (for the song he is doing at the time, for example that kick he did last week), and obvious. Just my opinion ;)

I'm a huge Queen fan - I'm still in love with Freddie Mercury's voice! - and I think Constantine did a great job with that song. The Gene Simmons tongue thing sort of grossed me out, but that was about it. He's a great performer, even if the drama seems a little overdone at times.

Carrie - I thought it was cool that Carrie picked a Pat Benatar song! She's got such a beautiful voice, and that song was perfect for her. I was surprised that the judges were underwhelmed by her perfomance. She was a little off in some spots, but that's not an easy song to sing. She seemed to be trying harder to improve her stage presence, but I'm getting tired of seeing her stand in one spot and swing her hips side to side, week after week. Sometimes her swinging doesn't even go with the beat of the music! I think she's going to win this, but either way, she's got a record deal in her future.

Anthony - Oh Anthony. This guy just bugs me. I just cannot see this guy as an AI. It's not that he has a bad voice, it's just the whole package rubs me the wrong way. And that Village people hat he had on the other night - what was he thinking?

Anwar - He wowed me one week. And that was it. He's got a lot of potential, but he isn't consistant.

Scott - Great voice, would be awesome with some coaching. He's not sure of who he is yet, but he's definitely not going to win this competition.

Vonzell - She's cute and sweet. She gets better every week, and more confident. Getting a little tired of her blowing kisses to the audience and camera though. She's got a great voice, like Carrie, I think we'll be hearing her on the radio someday.

Bo - I'm rooting for Bo! His voice is great, he sounds confident and relaxed, he's humble, I just like the whole package. I think his confidence though is what landed him in the bottom three this week. It seems as if his heart isn't in the competition any more, but he knows the audience digs him. Freebird was a good song and he performed it well, but it wasn't my favorite perfomance.

Nadia - the only reason she's gone is for her song choice. Plain and simple. She sort of went downhill ever since the disasterous Time after Time. Her heart didn't seem like it was in it anymore either.

As for next week, if Anthony or Scott doesn't go, I'll consider the competition a joke!

I agree...I think Constantine did a great job on that song and I'm not a Constantine fan.

I like Carrie and I think she could sing a Pat Benatar song really, really well. However, I think she chose the wrong one. Pat has alot of other songs that I think she would've done well with. I'd love to hear Carrie sing "Hell is for Children".

I dont get Anthony at all.... I hope he goes next week...... Scott is ok, but I wouldnt be upset if he left, but Anthony should leave next!!

Nadia..... sad to see her go, but then again I expected more pizzaze from her

Bo... Hot

Consitine... creepy. I love his voice, but all his oozing ooze bleh. He just creeps me out.

Carrie.... she needs to let go... get loose

ANwar. SOmething off about him too... his singing seems to be more like these are the notes of the song.... hits them perfectly, yet there isnt much behind it.... just like a computer playing the notes.... if that makes sense... where as with Consintine, you feel each note...

Please, please let Scott go soon. Honestly, I can't explain why - but from day one, he has truly given me the creeps. I get a really bad vibe from him.

And, note to SillyMe - it is the complete opposite effect that Josh Holloway has had on me! I'd vote for him any day, anywhere, and for any reason - he's a definite good vibe!

how disappointing - i really wanted to see nadia in the top 2 with bo. or in the top five. or at least gone after anthony! i think she just didn't make smart song choices....
can't believe bo was in the bottom 3. i'll have to vote for him next week. maybe he's getting redundant for some....

I'm probably just being cynical, but I never "buy it" when they put the favorites in the bottom 2. I always think it's done for dramatic purposes. Or maybe I just can't believe that Scott would have more votes than Bo.:confused3

They never really say that he had more votes...they say "you're safe" it could very well be that he had less...but wasn't having Bo there for a few more minutes more "dramatic"?

For those Constantine fans. Did you notice during the group song he was the only one constantly mugging it up to the camera? Everyone else is looking forward at the crowd (the camera was on a side angle) and there he is looking staright at the camera and making those googly eyes into the camera...that is what I can't stand about him...it reminds me of people that are so into themselves and their own looks that they feel everyone else feels the same way about them.

I did like his song last week...this week both my DD and myself couldn't wait for it to be over.

As for me I like sappy love songs, country music, easy listening. But I also like some rock..not heavy rock, more southern rock for me. I like people like Phil Collins (and genesis) I love Bob seger...I wish Bo would do one of his songs. I like old country and new country..(but not garth) I also like some of the stuff my kids listen to...I really like Simple Plan. I like Barenaked Ladies...my taste is kinda all over the place. We have both Kelly Clarkson CD's...(by the way she pretty much just stood there and sang too...she has gotten much better at connecting) I have Clay's CD. Would not buy Fantasia's ever. I did like Ruben's voice, but I'm not really into too much R & B.

God, will you stop with the googly eyes? He's not 5 and neither are you. He's just showing off, like everyone else.

What could he be possibly showing off? Ick!

I think Constantine has plenty to show off but to each their own. Right?

Doesn't seem to be that way on this thread. Everyone can pick on Scott and call his fans tone deaf or pity voting. When someone makes a comment about one of the groupies favorites heaven forbid! So I guess it isn't to each his own. Just another wonderful day on the DIS.

There's no way that "everyone" is picking on Scott. I'm not for one. I don't see any point in picking on anyone's favorites.

I think he has alot to show off. Unlike Carrie.

But let me repeat. They are ALL showing off. He is not the only one. He's just the one paying the most attention to the cameras.

I'm not picking on Scott. I think he sucks and his behavior is attrocious. If thats picking on him (*rolls her eyes*) then so be it.

How horrible of me to judge someone who's been arrested for spousal abuse. How horrible of me to judge someone who's shown he's rude and arrogant. But I'm picking on him right?

Nancy, even though Constantine is my new favorite, I agree the googly eyes have to go.

Between Scott's dead eyes and Constantine's googly eyes, enough with the eyes already. :rotfl:

I think each contestant has certain stage nuances that can be somewhat annoying, I thought Nadia was so comfortable on stage, yet she made certain faces when she was singing that looked weird. Carrie looks a little mechanical. Someone mentioned Bo walking around with the microphone stand. The point being, all of them need training in this area, none of them are professionals. I guess you have to find which one has the most potential to be able to master both "the look" and the singing. I think Constantine has a really good shot, despite his googly eyes. I don't see that same potential in Scott, but apparently there are people in America who do since he's gotten this far. So be it!
