well, so far, my two picks from the very beginning are still in it!!

i chose carrie and anthony (i think) when i first saw them audition. isn't anthony the blond guy with glasses who was told he may never even speak again or something like that?

i do like mikayla (or however it's spelled) and anwar too...but my top two picks were anthony and carrie.

i'm so bummed about this season though...i can't vote!! i'm in class until 10:30pm both mondays AND tuesdays!!! does anyone know how late the voting lines are open?

Okay...we've got to vote for "the other rocker guy" and his name is BO BICE!

I actually know him! He has been playing clubs and bars (including where DH worked) in North Alabama for as long as we lived there...I'm not sure why they are listing him from Atlanta, he was born near Birmingham and has been in Huntsville/Florence for the past 10 years.

He would be rocking an acoustic set out back while the DJ's would be spinning inside. He is truly an amazing musician and has a beautiful voice. He's not all commercialized like that other fool they're pairing him with...I worry about him making Ford commercials and those cheesy singalongs...


PS. I dont know WHY he has his hair all long and has the scruff. He is much cuter cleancut! I'm pumped. This is the first time I've ever gotten into American Idol. Everyone at home is so rooting for him!

Bo needs to cut his hair. I'm sorry, but I crack up every time I see him on TV. With all that long hair, he looks **just** like Matt Dillon's character from the movie "Singles"

i think you should still be able to vote! unless they changed it, lines are open 2 hours after the show ends, so you should be able to vote until midnight i believe.

Well, that depends on what time zone she lives in. The show comes on here at 7-8 p.m. So the phone lines would be closed here by 10 p.m. I may be wrong but I think she lives in the same time zone as me so she probably wouldn't be able to vote if she doesn't get home until after 10:30.

Jon Stevens was in Guys and Dolls in his H.S. and it did sell out.. Now as for coming from hours away? If they did it wasn't that many of them. I don't believe he has a record deal either but will find out as we know some teachers in his H.S.

I think this season is going to be a good one. Lots more talent in this round then last season. It's going to be really hard to vore for a favorite based on what I've seen so far. Hopefully performance will be a big voting point this year.

And to the girl who said to stop picking on J.S. from last year....we liked him too!

I like his voice. And I also like the long hair. Sexy man. I think he could win this thing because none of the others has really caught my attention.

I can't stand the cheerleader (she makes me want to slap her with her fake perkiness), and Mikala (sp?) cries way too much for her own good. The other rocker has a bad voice (don't know how he got through).

Seems very few of them this year have that... ummph. If you know what I mean.

As stated--the cheerleader and Mikala are one in the same--and I don't recall her crying all that much last night--certainly not as much as some of the others that were waiting.

Wow this show has been on for a few weeks and I haven't posted anything yet! But that's because I'm always so busy with school and work. I don't actually get to watch it when it comes on (Tuesday I have class until 8:15 and don't get home until almost 9 and I work a lot of Wednesday nights), but I do record it so I don't miss a thing! I am so obsessed with this show, and I was one of the few who loved John Stevens last season, and of course CLAY the season before!

I'm pretty happy about the way things are going so far this season. Going into the other seasons, there were always a few people I already didn't like. I can honestly say there's no one in this top 24 that bothers me! I haven't heard enough of some of the people to judge whether I like them or not, but I already have a few favorites.

Ever since the auditions, my mother has said that the farm girl Carrie and the skinny blonde Anthony would be the top 2, and they're still her favorites. It looks like it's a possibility since they're both in the top 24!

I love both of them, especially Anthony, so they're 2 of my favorites. I also love Mikalah. It's weird because I hated Diana DeGarmo last season and I really have a thing against cheerleaders. But I think this girl is great. She has a really nice voice. and I think she is so funny. I also like the girl named Lindsey, even though I haven't heard her sing too much. And of course I think that guy Anwar has a really good voice. Those would have to be my favorites as of now, but that could change, since I haven't heard enough of everyone.

But as of now I'd have to say my favorite guy is definitely Anthony and my favorite girl is Mikalah.

I don't remember Mikalah crying a lot last night either. I just remember her being annoying. I know a lot of you like her, so that is all I will say. The only one I remember crying A LOT was Tammy and she got cut. I was glad b/c it seemed like the competition would be too emotional for her.

I really thought Jaclyn would stay in also, she did have a good and unique voice. However, in retrospect I think it might have been her emotionality that got her booted. The PTB want someone who is steady, consistent and dependable, not someone who could dissolve into tears any moment.

The girl who was with her when the judges picked the last one (Amanda, I think?) was one of the handful I never remember hearing sing. Does anyone remember her singing? Is she good? It would be really sad if Jaclyn got passed up in favor of someone who isn't even that good, but... we've certainly seen it happen before!

after what i have seen so far, i believe the best talent lies with the guys, not the gals. just seems like the men have the stronger voices this year.

some of the girls are very good but the guys outshine them.

three nights next week ......can't hardly wait.

Travis is from our local area. They didn't show any of his singing after the initial audition, he migiht be the surprise. They did a little bio on him in our local news, he was star athlete, honor student at his high school.

There's a LOT of guys I like in the competition!!!

we are currently in the eastern time zone, i think. indiana is so dang confusing sometimes! AI comes on at 8pm here on both monday and tuesday and 9pm on wednesday. i'm hoping that my DH can somehow text me the info while i'm in class so i can send it while i'm on break...lol...or at least cast votes for my faves on my behalf!
