It sure seems like something is going on there. :love2:
Oh, I agree with that too! How they kept it secret for so long I don't know. As far as the top 10....The Music teacher and the Bald guy, and the 16 year old snot who thinks like a 30 year old will be there!

I don't think the last group of guys (who didn't practice) should of made it to the next round. They barely sung! I heard more of the piano playing than there voices. I thought the bald guy with the teddy bear sung better than them. I remember he is a good singer. They could've gave him another chance. Not the last group.

DH and I were thinking Simon & Paula do that tit for tat on purpose to spice up the show. Ya never know though. They could have something going on. :rotfl:

I agree on that last group. I'm sure if Simon and the gang had access to the footage of these guys "practicing" and cutting up and acting silly...they would have had a different opinion to give them a second chance.

I am thinking that they showed us the contestants that made it through to the final round next week

I hope not. I hope that there were many more that they didn't show that made it through, like the big girl and miracle boy. You know, I really wish that they had just given that other big girl the chance and brought her to Hollywood. She had a great voice.

Didn't they show in the previews for next week that they will be broken down into three groups? Usually, one group goes home and the other two stay for more?

I'm ready to call my favorite guy this season. It's Anwar the music teacher with the dreads. He is just awesome. He has the voice, the style, the stage presence and the personality. He is it for me. :flower:

I don't recall seeing my female favorite on the group show. She's Amanda Avila from Las Vegas. Small, brunette girl with a great voice. Anyone recall seeing her?

I wondered if the one they were arguing about was the AA guy, is he the same one that Paula loved during auditions.... the one who danced alot and she said how unique he was and faught to get him through ???

i think they were arguing about aaron kelly, the 24 year old guy with long black hair. he didn't get through :(

I like that round and bald guy! I hope that they don't get rid of him because of his looks, he can really sing. He had a little trouble relating to the group on the last show. He seemed to get with the program after awhile, though. :cheer2:

Ok, Anwar has braids and extensions not dreads. Dreads are thicker, more coarse, and not as long.

I love love love Anwar, but its driving me nuts that people are calling them dreads.

Its extensions/braid.

(sorry, I happen to know about african american hair!)

Now that we are off his hair, Anwar really taught his group how to work it out. He gave them a tip of learning the song by reading it instead of singing it, so not to strain thier voices. He has a great stage presence.

I haven't read the entire thread, so this may very well have already been said, but I heard that "Simon already has who he believes will be the winner, picked." It's the farm girl (I think her name is Carrie?). Don't know if this is true or not.

I think you are talking about Scott (I remember his name b/c that is Dh's name as well) and I really liked him too. I was glad to see he got through and I am rooting for him to make it to the top 12.

I still am a huge fan of Carrie, the farm girl, and also hope she makes it through to the final 12.

I can't remember what Anwar sounds like. I think I missed him this time, but I hope to hear him next week since everyone is talking about how good he is.

Sorry Cindy. I'm not a hair expert, but whatever kind of hair he has, he's really good and I hope he makes it to the end.

They got PLENTY of screen time the night prior--I am sure if they didn't make it, they would have made a point to show it or at least flash their pic.

I now this is a little off topic now but the girl with the blue hair or Operah girl. (Which by the way here name is Bri/Brianna.) One of my friends knew here. She used to go to our school. And I swear that she did not used to look like that.

But my favorites are Consatantine, Miracle Boy and the Singing teacher are all of my favorites. I also like Carrie. And has any one ever noticed that the winners have been girl, boy, girl so a boy will probabaly be a boy. But some paople are saying that Simon said that he thinks Carrie will win.

That is just his prediction. There is no way to tell who the american public will embrace. The judges were shocked and angry when LaToya London was eliminated last year. That was when Ryan and the judges went on air to emphasize how important it is to vote for the people you want to stay.

Yay!!!!!!

Simon always seems to have his favorite, always a girl, if I remember right. I don't remember the ones from season 1 and 3 but goat girl was his pick on season 2. Carrie? is definately a lot better.

oh yeah, i had forgotten he said she was going to win that season - i think that was carmen rasmussen? i thought she was awful. maybe simon thinks that americans will just vote for whoever is cute and blonde

Okay, I am going to buck a trend here and say... I LOVED the three guys at the end who forgot their lyrics! Yes, I know they were clowning around a lot and they went to sleep the night before, but I bet a lot of the groups with higher numbers did . I also can guarantee that a lot of other groups had just as much problems with their lyrics. They don't show the whole song, just clips from it, and of course the performances are edited to create interest. What I loved about them was their personality and comraderie. BTW, are these groups put together randomly, or do they choose their own groups? Many of them looked like they were just thrown (awkwardly) together, but these three seemed like they had known each other forever. But besides that, I think they are all good singers. Simon even said that they really liked them the day before, so obviously they are talented.
Off my soapbox now, has anyone else noticed how much "nicer" the competition is so far? Simon was not really mean (for Simon) to any of the groups, and the performers also seem more respectful this year. It's a nice change.
