Okay, I am going to buck a trend here and say... I LOVED the three guys at the end who forgot their lyrics! Yes, I know they were clowning around a lot and they went to sleep the night before, but I bet a lot of the groups with higher numbers did . I also can guarantee that a lot of other groups had just as much problems with their lyrics. They don't show the whole song, just clips from it, and of course the performances are edited to create interest. What I loved about them was their personality and comraderie. BTW, are these groups put together randomly, or do they choose their own groups? Many of them looked like they were just thrown (awkwardly) together, but these three seemed like they had known each other forever. But besides that, I think they are all good singers. Simon even said that they really liked them the day before, so obviously they are talented.
Off my soapbox now, has anyone else noticed how much "nicer" the competition is so far? Simon was not really mean (for Simon) to any of the groups, and the performers also seem more respectful this year. It's a nice change.

It's random--they drew for groups (I think--missed that part, but it is random) and then draw for peformance order.

I have to say that I also liked the 3 guys and I'm glad they got a second chance. They thought they had plenty of time to learn the song the next day and then realized that - especially with everyone else actually performing and hearing about people going home - it was much more difficult than they thought it would be. You could tell that although yes they were joking around from time to time (I think that was mostly nerves) they were taking it seriously, and I don't think they'll be making the same mistake again. I thought one of the guys was going to have a heart attack when they were allowed through!

As for the composition of the groups, I thought that one of the contests said on-air that "they" were trying to really provide a mix of types & personalities in each group, which led me to believe that the judges had decided who was going to be in which group. I know that they did draw to see what order the groups would be performing in, so that part was totally random. But I think they wanted to make sure that there wasn't a chance of say the remaining rockers being in a group together.

ack I can't believe it so far! the first room didn't get through and I was fine with that, no huge loss there. but the second room that did, the only people i cared much for were judd, anwar, and the mail carrier girl (vonzell i think?). eeek where are my favorites? i am so nervous if any of the crooners got through, especially ross, he's one of my favorites (red hair). suspense is killing me!

AHHHH I can't watch. there's no way ross's room is going to get through. i really liked him and dezmond he didn't do so well tonight though. neither did most of the people they showed from this room....aw. guess i'll have to find a new favorite.

They are "regrouped" for the rooms. I don't think it has anything to do with their performance order or things like that. That's why you see them checking out thier fellow singers in the room.

Is anyone as tired of the false tears by Paula in the winning rooms as I am? Basically, if Paula is acting sad, you're through.

The one performance that I did not like that went through was the Unchained Melody guy. Sliding between the notes to get there is cheating. Mayb he had better performances earlier.

I thought so. Both of the "rockers" made it through. phew to Constantne and Anwar! I was a l ittle nervous when I saw some of the other people they were grouped with!

Constantine did make it?? Yipee! I though they were showing him in room 3. In my defense, I was also trying to get 2 kids to bed. LOL

It would really stink to make it this round only to be cut without even performing again. Next week will be interesting.

yup, tomorrow night. i'm nervous! a few people i liked left, but a lot i liked stayed. anwar, beau, scott, that big guy who cried a lot when his group made it through last week...i'm even starting to warm up to anthony the miracle boy!

aw, seems like i'm the only one who liked him. i thought his voice was so pretty. he did not do well tonight though - a brave, but unwise song choice. i guess he is kind of creepy looking....he actually looks a lot like one of my exes

My kids think they put some of the "bad" singers in the rooms that stay so they will have some obvious people to cut the next round. There were a few that made it through that I didn't think were all that great. I did like the Vegas girl and she got cut.

I couldn't even imagine going up and singing with no backup music and being a nervous wreck...boy what these people go through just hoping to make it. I give them all for getting this far.

I don't know how you guys remember these people's names !! I don't know anyone's names yet..... which one is this Constantine that everyone's talking about ?? and did the guy with the long dreadlocks make it through ?? I'm rooting for him, I love his voice and he seems so sweet
