LOL, that was an interesting show! The girls that wouldn't take things seriously got the boot. Thank goodness. She was soooo annoying.

Dread lock man was awesome and as for the 3 guys that forgot the words, I liked them all but especially the one in the orange/yellow shirt. What a great voice.

Didn't see the crooner (the one some of you are calling devil boy :rotfl: ) but I noticed he got in for next week. I saw his hat! I'm calling him hat man.

This show is so addicting!!

Miracle Boy's first name is Anthony.

I wish they would have shown more singers then all the back stage drama stuff. seeing some is ok...but I felt they devoted too much time to that one group of girls.

I don't know if anyone has talked about it yet, but the music teacher with the dreadlocks is an AWESOME singer!! I love him! If he doesn't make it to the final 12, I'm going to be seriously disappointed.

I only caught bits and pieces of the show. I do love the music teacher with dreadlocks, and there are several other male singers who are so much more talented than the guys they had last season. I didn't see David Brown, from New Orleans, who was on Tuesday night's show. Does anyone know if he made it through?

Can anyone tell me what the deal was with Gina and her father Lonnie? They are from my city, and Lonnie and his brother Ronnie are local entertainers whom I have seen several times. We had a weird commercial break here where the screen just went dead for a while and then they showed a bunch of commercials for the local news. When they returned to American Idol, it was like they came in late. I wondered if Lonnie was using his pull at the local tv station and had them skip over something embarrassing.

I think there was one part where they showed a father giving tips to the girls and everyone was getting annoyed....I don't even know if that is the man you are speaking of...but I was also wondering if he would even know what the show would air because I wouldn't think they would show it to him in advance for him to know he wants a part cut out.

They just spent far too much time on just a few groups. I got so tired of seeing them, especially the three girls. The one girl in that group that didn't memorize her lines, I guess she thought that she sang well enough and was good looking enough to pass through.

Yup, that's him. He had a trac. as a young child. They didn't even think he would talk, let alone sing.
Thanks Kimberle. I know you are a big Clay fan too!

I also like the bigger woman with the brown curly hair and glasses. But I didn't see her on last night. Just during her audition. Lots of talent this year. IMO this will be the best AI yet (except for season 3 with Clay  ) hehehe

OK, take this guy, give him long stringy hair, and put his hat back on. Does anyone else think he looks like Kid Rock now?

The guys definitely are the talented bunch this year. I like so many of the male singers, I don't know how I would narrow it down. But the music teacher with the dreads has one of the best voices there.

I was also wondering about the bigger woman. I liked her voice in the tryouts. I hope she made it. Looks like we'll have to wait till Tuesday to find out.

These two are my favorites as well.

The dreads guy name I think is Anwar, or Anton. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that he is a teacher!

The bigger lady (sorry I can't remember her name) is fabulous, and gives it her all.

I am thinking that they showed us the contestants that made it through to the final round next week. So between between Tuesday nights show and last nights show, everyone that was told "see you tomorrow" made it to the final round. I know that is not the official way the competition went, but for sake of time and editing, they showed us the ones who got through all the preliminary rounds.

I was disappointed that the girl who was so mean to her "teammate" who couldn't remember her words made it through. I didn't think she deserved another chance from what I saw. She needs to learn that the way to success isn't bullying and belittling. I can see being upset if your teammate wasn't keeping up, but the way they were treating her was so opposite of what they should have been doing to have a successful performance. They should have been encouraging her and bit their tongues.

I thought the judges were very lenient last night. That group of guys who didn't know the words definitely did not deserve to make it through. Does anyone know which one it was that the judges were making a big deal about and called the executive producer over for?

my guess it was Paula but not for sure. She was really angry. 2 to 1 thats how it goes!! and when she said thay Simon MADE Randy change his vote. Poor Randy!

I wondered if the one they were arguing about was the AA guy, is he the same one that Paula loved during auditions.... the one who danced alot and she said how unique he was and faught to get him through ???

Maybe... I'm pretty sure he was in the group with Constantine though.:confused3

Too soon to pick a favorite, but so far I love that music teacher.

I really like Carrie - the one who sings country and "Miracle Boy" as you all have referred to him

My DH is 100% Paula and Simon are sleeping together! :smooth:
