Official 2025 Universal Studios Orlando HHN 34 Discussion Thread

Thank you @GhostHost24 !!!

After watching some walkthroughs (stayed away from most, but wanted info on a couple), I have decided to skip Terrifier and WWE. Nothing against them, but I know I have a limited amount of energy so I have to make some decisions. Also, Fallout sounds like it may be pretty bad so will skip that at first at least.

I think my plan is to hit ET and the Tribute Store during Scream Early, then go back to Hatchet and Chains/Galkn/Dolls. Grab a snack and drink and take a break. Head to Jason and do that. Then backtrack a little to do MIB and catch the Death Eaters (with a Butterbeer of course). At this point it should be getting dark so I will likely try and hit the different scare zones, grab more drinks and snacks. Finally, I will head to New York and hit up Grave of Flesh, El Artista, and my hype item FNAF. After all of that it will depend on how I feel really. If I still have energy then it will be shopping, scarezones, and more food and drinks.

ok, bought our tickets, 1 night plus express, 3 people, over 1000K. ouch to the wallet. Currently plan to drive down that first weekend in Oct, going to to pick up DH from college Friday, majority of the drive Saturday, and HHN that Sunday night!
I can't wait to read more experiences/reviews/rankings here, and watch some more vlogs. I'm not going to watch any walk throughs, but do appreciate the reviews. Getting excited now! This will be our first year though without any sort of stay/scream, park entry, so we'll just be out there with the hordes of walking dead, waiting to get in, so will need a different plan than previous years.
Really excited for the original houses, they all sound great!! And Jason for all the nostalgia.

No right or wrong way to enjoy HHN, especially if you are flexible

I don’t see you mention Nighmare Fuel in that mix. It is a time suck, we try to hit the first one after (hopefully) crossing off at least 3 - 4 houses with SE. Not holding my breath there this year from what I’m reading so far.

IMO the Death Eaters are a bit more effective when it is dark.

Same, I want to be surprised that 1st run through.

We’ve decided since we have multiple nights, not going to worry about commando’ing. We’ll get it all done, just not every night. Going to stop & smell the fog this year lol.

So although I tend to agree with you - this year might be a bit different - especially for those with just one night.

I've not seen this talked about too much - but there seems to be a hub with a bit of a hike for many of the houses in the front of the park - so once you are there you want to do them. I guess there is a long walk and then an A and a B path for the houses in the front of the park. It does not look like fun at all.

I am also hearing some issues with the whole Accessibility Access Pass - they are being put into a pen and then called in groups?
People who have that will probably want to take a look into it and keep an eye on it.

It's still pretty early and I am sure they continue to make adjustments every week - but with the tear down of RRR and no room for portals in the NY area - it all seems a bit messy.

ya, I hadn't included it in my review, but I get why they have to have that little hub like thing for the front of the houses, but it makes the walking really rough. Also, crowd flow isn't great because both pathways are two way paths. When you leave FNAF, it's right next to Wyatt's, and leave the same place those houses used to dump out of (near the bathrooms of fallon). But you have to then walk ALL the way back around to enter WWE. I don't know where terrifier dumps out of since I didn't do that.

Nightmare Fuel doesn't really interest me that much. I would rather use the time wandering around or even just sitting and people watching. I go into the event knowing I don't WANT to do everything and that I CAN'T do everything. So I make my must do lists and anything more then that is just extra. I have one night and want to make it as fun as I can.

I did watch a couple walkthroughs on the houses that I wasn't sure about (WWE and Grave of Flesh mostly). Which is what led me to put WWE at the bottom of the list (well, second to bottom). For Grave of Flesh it was to see if I thought my claustrophobia would be a problem but I think I will be okay. Especially since you just are walking through and not stopping.

I AM worried about the walking though honestly. Especially because my pain levels have been pretty high of late. Thus my "Do a couple houses, then rest" plan lol.

A voice of reason on the DIS boards? say ain't so
🤯;)

definitely listen to your body!

um whaaaat?

accessible are steered into a pen?

Hadn't heard that

are we talking that's their specific standby area as ECVs don't fit in the queue before entering the main queue?

So as I understand it there is an open area near the bathrooms where they can wait for the return times.
I guess there was some uproar over the weekend about it and some of the AAP folks were not happy with the setup.

I think some of this probably has to do with the hub set up - its a long way to the entrance where you get your return times and then a long way back to the main area so they must have set up some sort of pen for AAP to wait.

No it was not just ECVs, there was discussion of folks that have anxiety in lines etc.. and they were not happy with the situation at all.
If you search HHN and AAP on X I am sure you will find some info.

Unfortunately I don't have any more details to share so someone who is more familiar can hopefully share their experience.

No doubt as the event goes on we will hear more.

What do you think of the Orlando Informer touring plan?
https://orlandoinformer.com/universal/halloween-horror-nights-touring-plan/

I guess to make starting at Freddy work one would have to get in line as soon as they start giving the bracelets?

I have an EP, but visiting with someone without EP, so we would like to do a few houses together at the beginning of the night. The path of least resistance seems to be starting with Jason. I don't think they'd want to get in line ultra early.

they need to figure out what their priorities are for HHN

by all accounts, they either get in line early for FNAF or they get in line later (and possibly wait much longer)

So has anyone seen this new BS with the no scare necklace?

I guess these annoying streamers are wearing the necklace and recording themselves taunting the SAs.

Once again why do people have to be such #$$&*@^(

I think they need to add a rule that if you taunt them then all bets are off.

Haven't seen that but not surprised.

Wannabe vloggers are a stain to theme parks.

No, if you are being problematic to the staff, you should be escorted out of the park. A few live streams of people being escorted out of the park will put a nice quick end to that issue.
