"Official" 2025 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

We have our tix for 11/18 . . . is there any anecdotal info on how long the 4pm entry line gets? Does it make more sense to arrive at MK around 4:30 for a more leisurely check-in?

Historically crowds are consistent between about 3:15 and 7:00. It may ebb and flow after 4:00 but I’m not aware if any real pattern day to day.

This being said, Disney is fully prepared for the crowds so security and taps usually move well.

Not the same thing, but we've done "After Hours" at EPCOT and HS and arrived right at 4pm and really had no noticeable delay in entering. Maybe a small line but really just long enough for someone to put on your wristband for you. Usually there are a handful of lines you can choose from after you get into the park itself.

I would not expect that smooth of an experience if arriving just before 4pm for a party. We’ve arrived around 3:50 before and there is usually a very large queue (in the sun) that’s held until just about 4, and then it takes 10-20(ish) minutes to get in the park when the line starts moving.

I thought the entry time for After Hours was 7pm?

Maybe -- I felt like it was 4pm. But either the After Hours started at 9pm and we showed up at 7pm or it was 7pm and we showed up at 4pm. Now I'm doubting myself. :)

However, according to another user it won't be as smooth anyhow so maybe everyone should just disregard me.

Yes, that's for the Christmas party. The PP was referring to After Hours, which is different.
Yes but this thread is the Official MVMCP thread so I wanted to clarify for people reading this thread.

Discussion of other AH parties should not be discussed in this thread as it quickly gets too confusing.

I know what this thread is, I was just trying to clarify something that someone else posted in this thread. 🤷‍♀️

So, if we have APs and MVMCP tickets, and are arriving between, say, 4:00-5:00pm, would it be better to enter on our AP and pick up the wristband in the park or just enter on the party ticket? Will the turnstiles even allow us to enter on our AP during that time frame? We are doing the party on arrival day and I am not sure exactly what time the rest of my travel party will be arriving (I am local, they are leaving work early and driving in from about three hours away).

Yes and yes :)

I think if you get there after about 4:15, it’s probably most efficient to go through the party guest entrance so you can do the main entry walk…but if you get there between 3:45-4:15, you may want to enter as an AP.

I think it’s best to make that call when you see the crowds when you arrive. It’s not really an ‘do this or that’ ahead of time, it’s a decision based on when you arrive and see what the lines are like.

There’s no guarantee if you enter the park that you won’t experience a line there too as many will be getting their wristbands in the park.

Yes, they will. Just make a game time decision based on how the lines seem to be moving when you get there. The turnstiles for regular park admission will be on a different side than the MVMCP lines.

This is our first Christmas party and I'm curious about the wait times for rides like Tron and SDMT. We mostly want to watch the parade and fireworks, but this will be our only MK day, so I'm trying to set realistic expectations for how many rides we can expect to do.

Two years ago, I remember ride times being pretty short for most rides. Basically walk-on...but probably not for SDMT or Tron, those will be popular.

Also, this year might be a bit longer though since both BTMR and Buzz will be closed for refurb, so there will be a couple less rides open than during past parties.

That said, we're still planning to attend, and like you, MVMCP will be our only MK visit during our trip.
