"Official" 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

This will be our first MNSSHP. I'm just curious....How do they clear the park at 6pm? Do they just look for people without bands and shuffle them to the front gate ? The logistics of the thing should be fun to watch.

I’m taking my (newbie) niece, her husband and their 2 littles to WDW in Oct…just bought our MNSSHP tickets for 10/14…
I’ll get my solo tickets later but not too much later…although I’ve had great luck getting 1 last minute ticket at sold out events in prior years…

Basically yeah. Starting at 6, lines and other certain checkpoints heading deeper into the park will have cast members telling you to hold up your arm so they can see your party wristbands as you pass them. So non guest members can head towards the exits, but not deeper into the park or into lines

Be prepared to be asked to show your party bands numerous times, at least that was our experience.

Wow! That's crazy! Any idea why this one went second? Yes, they'll all sell out eventually, but I wonder what drove this one to sell out before opening night.
The 19th is one of the two parties at the $119 price point. The first party is way more expensive since they know every vlogger will pay a premium to be at the first party.

We just purchased for October 3! DD is there on DCP but no October dates were available for a DCP discount so we bought them now. Seeing an August date sell out pushed me to buy them sooner rather than later.

We are going as a family (SO, DS and DS GF) to visit. This will be a first for us. DD will be going 8/24 when her father goes to visit so hopefully she’ll have some insight for us.

I know the fireworks and the second parade are definitely on the list. I’ll have to do some more research on must do’s. I like to stick to mostly event items and not too many rides. It’s what we did for MVMCP and it worked for us.

Now to decide on costumes. Are we doing a group or individual ?

Yeah seeing the August party sell out has prompted me to get myself in gear and actually buy our tickets.

This is our only MK day for this trip so we're hoping for a mix of rides and event stuff. Our priorities for rides are stuff we haven't seen before (Tron, TBA) and we'd like to hit one parade as well as the stage show and fireworks. Anything above that will be gravy. Our kids are older now (10 and 13) so we're planning to go all night! DD13 is super jazzed about a family costume and I think we've decided on the Rescue Rangers!

I mistakenly thought TBA would not be open. Pays to read the first page. LOL.

As we get closer to the event, will WDW post a schedule of events for the evening. Parade times, fireworks times, special character appearances, etc ?

Showtimes have not changed dramatically over the past few years but normally this is all "confirmed" via the first photos of the party map on Night #1

I would argue that character appearances are the most hit-or-miss to predict from year to year, other than the confirmed Jack & Sally and Mickey & Minnie ones. Disney Villains are going to be "roaming the streets" but you can never really be 100% sure what Disney means by that.

I know Goofy, Daisy, Donald & Minnie have historically met in the circus but no telling how much this will change with Minnie moving to the theatre with Mickey.

We currently have tickets for Aug. 19. My father has decided to come on the vacation to DW with us and might be interested in doing the HP. I see that the 19th is sold out. Does anyone know if Disney would allow us to add 1 to our tickets as we're family?

I’ve had very good luck getting sold out HP tickets by going to Guest SVCS in the parks and asking…especially if others in my party already have tickets. But you have to do it in person at GS (I usually go as soon as I’m going to any of the parks) - over the phone won’t work…and if they don’t have one - just keep trying…
And ignore the sign outside that says Party Sold Out.

Thanks for that info. I'll try that if he decides he wants to go.

yes (though characters probably won't be known until the first party)

Normally the answer is no but, your case is the one exception that Disney normally makes. If a group has tickets and a person in their family and friends list wishes to join them, normally Disney will allow this but their is no guarantee. I would try calling and if not successful ask once there but with the understanding it could go either way.
