"Official" 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

You're definitely not wrong, usually Disney does a big halfway to Halloween announcement and lot of marketing about upcoming themed releases. This year the dates were released later than usual and the marketing has been non existent, the same has happened for food and wine this year. Either Disney doesn't see the need as the fall is very busy now or it was just not considered important when weighed against the announcements of Cool Kid Summer, a new international park, opening the new night parade, and all of the closures. Maybe they want fall to be slow this year?

IIRC last year was the same -- they teased that the MNSSHP dates/tickets would be coming soon on Social Media a few days before they announced everything but they didn't do a big Halfway to Halloween event. I do wonder what caused the switch up, since 3-4 years ago they were doing big influencer media events to celebrate Halfway to Halloween with previews of food & merch. I don't think they necessarily want fall to be slow but I do think you're correct that they have had bigger Magic Kingdom fish to fry between last year and this year (last year was Tiana's Bayou Adventure, this year is the new nighttime parade)

Epcot has been going through a lot of changes these past few years so the Food & Wine radio silence feels on trend. Feels like it has been since pre-COVID that they made a big hullabaloo about the festivals in advance but I don't follow them as closely as I follow the parties so anyone can jump in and correct me on that

"Doctor Disney" on Facebook had some photos of Halloween shirts already being out in stores. There's no official merch information out there right? I feel like Disney is ignoring Halloween...but no one gets as hyped as I do so I could be wrong.
No, I totally agree with you. Seems crazy that parties start next month and yet, there's been hardly any party news.

I just checked and you're right, 2023 was the last big announcement. I think I've completely blocked out 2024 due to the presidential race stress and craziness o_O

Out of curiousity do we think a Friday Oct 24 or Sunday Oct 26 would be less crowds?

Typically, all parties sell out so the crowds are the same, but this doesn't appear to be a typical year so I'm not sure anyone can answer that. I would pick the day that fits your vacation plans the best. Have a great time, whatever day you choose.

If I end up going on 8/17, I'll most likely be staying offsite. If I do late lunch at one of the MK Resorts and head to the party from there, can I keep my car parked at the resort through the party and take the monorail back to my car?
Is the line back to the TTC still a nightmare after the parties? It's been a LONG time since I parked at the TTC.

technically cars are only supposed to be at a resort for 3 hours

I have not gone to a party (yet!), but reports made me think the crowds at closing will not be overwhelming. We closed out MK on a non-party day last August with 11 pm close, and it wasn’t horrible. The worst is when fireworks are at closing time (Epcot!).

You must move your car to TTC. Parking is only for your ADR, not attending the party. Guests staying at resorts need the parking spots.

Maybe see if valet parking is available if you’re just trying to avoid the crowds getting back to TTC. But parking is quite tight and problematic for guests actually staying at these resorts.

I bought this to wear to MNSSHP. I would love to go to Epcot in the morning to get a picture at Journey of Water.

Am i allowed to wear this to Epcot, or is it considered a costume and not allowed?

No, this would not be considered a "costume" for all intents & purposes here -- you would not be mistaken for Moana by guests so you can wear this to Epcot and would probably get a ton of compliments, too!

Awesome, thanks!!
