"Official" 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

I could go September 12th or 14th. Any advantages to one or the other?
Probably not unless one is cheaper than the other or one sells out and the other doesn't. Although ever since Covid, they've all sold out eventually. Those are 2 of the dates I'm looking at also. More than likely I'll make my decision based on price.

I don’t know about this, the value of Jollywood unused tickets I bought two years ago could only be used to purchase Jollywood tickets.

Edited to add: I was specifically told the value couldn’t be used toward the purchase of Enchanting Extras or applied to park tickets. Perhaps the value could have been applied to tickets for MVMCP, but I didn’t ask about that.
We were planning to go to MNSSHP a couple of years ago and had to cancel the day before because my wife was too sick to travel. The credit for the tickets stayed on the account, and we used it towards one Jollywood ticket and 2 MVMCP tickets. They were not eligible to applied against our APs (but we also use DVC to buy our APs, so it wasn't clear if that was the reason or a blanket non-starter).

Looks like D23 is pushing folks to the party on the 29th. A special link is going live next week (I assume before public sales, but a week after hotel sales start).

It's the only one I can go to, so hoping I won't have issues getting tickets this week. I don't think I will; we haven't reached Oogie Boogie level ticketing issues....yet.

I would pick Sunday over Friday with the thought of it being less crowded if you want to do a 4 o'clock arrival. I did the September 14th equivalent last year and had a great time. Planning on going back in '26 and will be doing 2 parties (Friday & Tuesday- if historical trends continue) because it was that much fun, & we want to have more time to enjoy the shows.

Which day would you all pick for the event?

We land Thursday 10/9 at 2 pm, staying at GF. There is a party that night, but Worried it will be a bit much with the day of travel for kids and grandparents, but seems like it would be the quietest of the holiday weekend

Or would you do Friday 10/10 (which I assume would be busiest) or Monday Columbus Day (last night of stay)? We have 4 full days otherwise that we will be doing a dedicated day at each park, including a separate MK day, so not too worried about hitting rides at the event as much as taking in the experience

I definitely would not choose arrival day. I would choose whichever date works with the rest of your plan. Most likely they will all sell out, so there isn't likely to be a difference in crowds between parties, despite how crowded Disney World is in general.

We once did a party on our arrival day. It was kind of stressful trying to rush checking in/unloading (as we drove to Disney) so that we could arrive at Magic Kingdom as close to 4 pm as possible. We were at Saratoga Springs, so we also had to worry about the bus system. But even staying at GF, I'd avoid doing a party on an arrival day if possible.

I hope this isn’t a dumb question, I’ve never been to MNSSHP. We will be there mid October. When will tickets sell out? Is it necessary to buy them at 7 am on Day One?

Don’t worry about the crowds. Just pick the best day that works for you. Personally, I’d pick Friday. I’d only pick Monday if my flight home was later in the day and I could sleep in Tuesday morning.

No.

Take a look at post #182 on this thread and the few responses after for the explanation. The October 31st party sold out the quickest - a week or 2 after tickets went on sale, but most mid October parties didn’t sell out last year until September.

Another vote for choose a different day. I often don’t sleep well the night before a vacation so I’d choose a different party to attend.
