"Official" 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

My daughter and I will be there in September again and I am considering getting tickets this time. I am not sure it is worth it for her though, she is 7. I don't know how late she will be able to stay up. Those of you who go with kiddos - do you stay until the end? I figure that by 10PM she will be done and ready to go.
We took our daughter when she was 4 (in California). She was usually done and over with things quickly but as long as there was candy to be had, she was all in. Went all night.

Is there any way to keep this thread alive until the party begins in August? I am living vicariously through those of you who are going, since I can't be there 😄

I think a lot will depend on what you do during the day..
A lot depends on your child. If you have a child who is used to a schedule and earlier bedtime it will be more challenging. If you’re more ‘go with the flow’ and your child does some late nights it might be easier for them.

I agree that a quieter afternoon to rest before the party would be beneficial.

No, not all attractions are open during the party. Post 1 has a list of attractions that are historically open during the party but that list can change year to year and even party to party.

We do a few attractions and try to hit those with a holiday overlay.

If you will be at MK other days and have chances to go on the attractions, then I would prioritize maybe just attractions with overlays. Then meet some characters in costumes, take the magic shots, get candy, eat special party food (pay for) and watch the parade!

We haven't been to a true Halloween party since 2017 (did the Boo Bash 2021, during the covid years) and last year we went to the Christmas party for the first time. While that was fun, it had nothing on the Halloween Party. Just the atmosphere is fantastic!!!
We are so excited to finally go again!

I hope you guys have a great time. :D

Thank you for the reply. Haunted Mansion is a must I just hope it doesn't get too packed.

I think we will definitely prioritize attractions. I guess at some point they release a list of attractions with an overlay?

HM is usually manageable if you do it during a parade, show, or at the very end of the night.

Historically Halloween parties change Space Mountain (pitch black/different music), Mad Tea Party (special lights and music), Pirates (roving pirate performers in the Adventureland/Pirates area), and Laugh Floor has Halloween themed jokes while also doubling as a candy stop.

We should hopefully get some info and teasers at halfway to Halloween towards the end of this month!

We're keeping an eye on the parties for now. Our daughter *may* get selected for a dance conference in the early fall. It's closer to Universal so most of our time will be spent there, but seriously considering adding a couple of days onto our trip so we can hit a Tuesday party before the conference and get a taste of MK. This would be our only "Disney" for the trip. Our last vacation to WDW was in early 2020 so there's been lots of changes since then we'd want to try and hit too!

That's our plan too! Well without the dance conference, of course. We'll be at universal for 4 days, then go to Disney just for the Halloween party. I feel like Disney has a lot of construction going on but nothing new since we went last year. Over at Universal the Dark Universe in Epic Universe really appeals to me. Since Universal closes early that time of year for Halloween horror nights, it makes sense to pop over to Disney for Mickey's not so scary.

I agree with 50/50. I haven’t figured out the pattern of when they do/do not offer a party on Nov 1. Historically they had a Nov 1 party in 2019, 2020 (announced prior to all parties being cancelled due to COVID) and 2023.

I know the tickets don't go on sale until mid-may ish but I wish they would at least reveal the dates a couple of weeks before so we have time to figure out our plans before the ticket buying madness begins...
That's normally the way they do it. The announcement about the dates is normally made approx. a week before tickets go on sale. In 2024 the official party announcement was made May 6, 2024. Tickets went on sale for Disney resort guests on May 8, 2024 and for all guests on May 15, 2024.

This is how it was in 2024. There is no guarantee it will be the same in 2025 but, there will be time (days, a week?) between the announcement and tickets going on sale.

That being said, it's likely dates will be on similar days of the week to previous years and that the announcement will be made within the next 2-3 weeks. A lot of planning and prep can be done now.

A 2 day heads up is not enough for me :P
We are only there 5 days this time around so the window to attend a party is small. It will all depend on what days are the party if we decide to go or not.

I realise this is a me problem, haha. Patience is not my forte.

We're planning to attend during Halloween week, though likely not on Halloween itself. My son's birthday is that week (he's turning 2) and my mother and his two godmothers (my sister and one of my best friends) are going as well.

He thankfully has no issues sleeping in strollers, so I think he'll likely be able to stay the full time, but we booked at the Contemporary to make it easier in case he (or his grandmother, lol) can't hang past 10. We also built in a no-parks rest day for the day after the party so everyone can recover.

My friend and I haven't done the Halloween party since 2015, and my mother and sister have never done it, so I'm very excited to experience it with them.

For those who have been more recently - just how picked over is the merch by the last week of parties, both regular and AP?

We attended Halloween (and the day after) in 2023. A lot of merchandise was gone by Halloween night. For example, there was a shirt I wanted that was only available in size XXL at that point. They were down to 2 options for the MNSSHP pins. A lot of shops had crossed over to displaying Holiday merchandise, and most of the hotels were already doing holiday things. (We got to see the start of the gingerbread house going up in the Grand.) We love Halloween, and count down to it all year, but personally, I'll always go earlier in October, not on Halloween night again.
